The entertainment there was actually the best thing about the place!!! Thanks to those guys we loved it ! Blacky, Dominican Justin Bieber, Mr. Lifestyle, Chocolate and Tequila were the greatest dancers and there was things to do every second of the day, and these guys would let you know !! The shows they put on were awesome, and for all ages! This was our best all inclusive resort experience! The resort was so cool, big, beautiful, easy clean beach access, always a place to sit, a bar every 30 steps, a pool every 30 steps, always something to do, the rooms and showers were really clean, the restaurants were incredible, it was easy to get to everything with a lot of shuttles and golf carts !!! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone it was phenomenal!

Lilo, the tennis pro at the Tropical and Life Style resort

I'm not an expert tennis player, so I was looking forward to being able to play with a tennis pro or other players during my one week vacation. Lilo, the tennis pro, is an excellent teacher and has the patience of a saint. His instruction is geared to the level of the tennis player and he's happy to work on the strokes needed or just play a set at the beginner player level. Tennis lessons with Lilo cost $25 per hour; the price is right. The pro shop is well equipped and the clay court is well kept.

This resort is beautiful but be warned it is the ultimate tourist trap. WANING!!! DO NOT BUY IN TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP. You are better off just traveling to this place using deals from Groupon, Cheap Caribbean, or any number of places. They will show the most beautiful and luxurious rooms and promise you all kinds of benefits with their VIP membership. It is all a lie. The next time you arrive they will find a way to deminish your benefits embarras you, and try to convince you that you need an upgrade to do all the things you thought you paid for with your original contract. I’ll admit that I have been made a fool of three times now, so I only have myself to blame, but if my stupidity keeps at least one person from committing the same mistake I would have accomplished something positive. If you decide not heed my warning, please do not let them offer you any drinks while you consider their offer and ensure that EVERYTHING they offer you in their little chicken scratched piece of paper is actually in the written contract before you sign anything. They will surely pull this out when it suits them. They will also show you resorts in Mexico and other parts of DR but they only lease rooms from other hotels. It is not their property so you will not receive the same VIP benefits or any guarantees on the rooms available (if any).

First they downgraded our room at the last minute, when it was too late to back out. The one couple that didn't reserve a suite got a dingy room with sticky floors and bugs boring through the ceiling dropping on pillows. GET this they had a sign on sink "Do NOt drink water" and one on toilet "do not flush and papers in toilet".To get to room you had to walk past the smell of sewer. They put bands on your arm that allow you to get meals, if you don't have the right color you don't have access to nice restaurants. Food: mediocre to bad. We lost weight because we didn't want to eat the salty fried garbage.A few things acceptable, not great. Watered down sugary drinks and if you need something a constant run around and waiting. If you want to but your way into a thinly veiled Caste system or know what it might feel like to live under Jim Crow laws by all means go! PS. Safe costs more money, kids club not so great, can't go in ocean not a real beach, pools cold, hot tubs tepid and many of the pools cloudy. We all came home thin and sick. But if you like cheap liquor, poor quality food and a cheesy environment it may be for you...

Trip to Puerto Plata !

This is one of my best experience in my life. Since first arrival I felt like haven, the attention given lasted from minute 1 to the last minute of departure. The location is very spacious has a nice view to the sea. A lot of green around, nobody bother instead everyone tries to help in a different way. There a lot of activities in the area were you will not get bore instead you will laugh and have lot of fun. 0 stress on this place. We felt like king and still fell like king in inside my head when I think about it. I can’t way for my next trip !!!
