If you're looking for a great hotel with lots of food choices and a decent beach, this is it. Overall this is a solid 4 star, great for the kids and it even has a swim up bar for the adults.
Just spent a week here. The food in the main restaurant is lovely and is far superior than the ‘speciality’ restaurants!! The Caribbean restaurant and the Ocean Grill are ok, but the Italian is dire! I would rather eat boil in the bag pasta from my room. It is seriously bad!!! All the drinks, alcoholic and soft are very good and I don’t see the point in upgrading to the VIP, unless you only drink branded drinks. The staff are lovely, apart from the grumpy one where you book the speciality restaurants. Anyone would think you are asking to go to her house and have her cook for you in person. Think she trained at the Basil Fawlty college for hospitality! The rooms are ok, bit dated but fully functional. My only major criticism is the entertainment. I have never in my life watched such a load of drivel! They should seriously consider burning the Cd’s of Cotton Eyed Joe and Agga Doo, oh yes I kid you not, I have not heard these tunes for 20 plus years, and for good reason because they are absolute garbage!!!They seriously need to invest in someone who can actually sing, dance, do comedy or do something mildly amusing as frankly going to the dentist is more entertaining than this!
Its a great place, very well maintained. Easy access to beach and pool, its not too big, going to your room if you forgot something is quite easy. Food was awesome! Staff as well. Only thing i would say was that the pillows were a little lumpy. Apart from that i have no complaints.
small resort and very relaxing the people we met were all very nice and had a great time. The food was good the drinks plentiful and our room was ok a bit on the small side but we were just in it to sleep, The resort was on a nice beach with turquoise waters but the people hound you like crazy trying to sell there wares but a polite no thank you took care of it. The staff are all wonderful do all they can to make your stay an enjoyable one. we would definitely go back you wont be disappointed.
Pros:Beautiful beach. It's the best one on the stretch with clear water, a nice sandy bottom and is great for walking. There are plenty of palapas and lounge chairs available. The a la carte restaurants were all very good. Both food and service were excellent. It's only a 20 minute ride to the airport. The grounds are well kept and maintained.Easy and fast check in and check out.Friendly staff.Cons:Wifi was very poor. The food at the buffet was average at best. Often our cutlery was not clean and there was always a shortage of coffee cups.Housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days towels and pillow cases were not available. The room could definitely be refreshed and deep cleaned. We found mouldly caulking around the tub. The pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. There is a $16 US charge for a safe key. There are straws everywhere on the beach and unfortunately I did not see any recycling bins on the property. I would hope that the hotel will provide some asap in order to prevent plastic litter which, sadly, seems to be everywhere on the strip of beach. All in all, we enjoyed our week but probably wouldn’t return to this resort.
This is our 3rd visit and spent New Years Eve there It was amazing . The management and associates treat us so well. We can not wait to return. The resort is very clean and well cared for. The food is incredible as are the 3 private restaurants. The buffet is incredible and changes daily.Joel and Luis are awesome bartenders at the pool bar and Benito is also a great bartender. Make sure you see Jacki and have her famous Jacki special.
