We had many delays getting here but once we were there this resort made up for it. There were four of us myself my son and daughter in-law and her mother. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and large with lots of towel's, free safe, iron and board. The food was very good lots of verity, the restaurant's were great the presentation was very professional and room service free. Entertainment staff went above our expiation always a smile a hola , lots of games and prizes. I've read people were upset about no balconies with three rooms in the bliss we all had them and sat on them maybe once lol to much to see and do. Beach was ok even after the hurricane very well kept lots of lounge chairs, bar and snack bar very close. Sports available boogie boards, kayaks for one or two , catamarans they take you out if you cant drive it. I travel twice a year been to many Islands and many resorts this is by far one of the best even as it was low season. I have never been to a resort that had a foam pool party it was the best fun ever. As I said I'll return to this resort
I was here with my friend during the hurricane Irma. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really welcoming , genuine and friendly. The resort upgraded our room for free of charge after the hurricane. All your requests and needs are responded promptly. The one thing that I really wanna mention here is the animation team of the resort. They are simply wonderful and keep you entertained always, trust me when you are in a resort with ppl you don't know it's really difficult to have a good time and these ppl make sure you do it. La Pinki - KimThe cat - JordyHercules - Gustavo Robocop - Walvis RuddyWaiter - Luz Kennedy - Bartender at the pool. Thanks to all of you. Made our stay really pleasant and worthwhile. Tbh guys , i miss u all. Hope you all are fine despite the Hurricane Maria. The food at the resort was decent since I don't eat beef and porc , I didn't have much options. My feedback for the kitchen would be to start serving lamb dishes lol. The beach was nice but I'm not a beach person though . Just wanted to relax here at the resort and I got what I needed. Thanks all. See you again soon.
The Dominican Republic resort is beautiful, the food is palatable (which is fairly good for DR) and the entertainment staff were excellent. Unfortunately, this hotel suffers from a lack of customer service and care for customer enjoyment. We had an issue with our A/C and it took the staff over 24 hours to figure out a solution (which was the first thing we asked for - a different room). Additionally, my husband, as well as a number of other guests all came down with gastroenteritis and the response of staff was a shrug of their shoulders. When we had both of these events occur, the staff were not only useless but they also made it clear that WE were a problem and treated us rudely.
I have enjoyed my stay at this resort. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I would like to recognise "Robocop" he made the stay memorable with his friendly outlook on life. Salute.
Check in was quick and rooms were ready at noon. My amnesia suite, building 3, was as the pictures show, large and clean. The view was nothing to notice, a tree and looking into what might be bliss rooms as there were no balconies, the animation team are on the ground floor of the next building. The king bed was comfortable but I couldn't find a comfortable pillow out of the 4, all were too soft for my liking. Towels and robes are nice and absorbent. No towel art but the room was clean and I would prefer clean over swan towels.Beach was beautiful, stunning perhaps. The beach bar/snack bar were good if you didn't want to go to buffet, a selection of pizza, burgers, fries, chile, a few salad items, fruit and some pastry. In the evening this is Rosmarino, the Italian restaurant, I ate here once, it was quite tasty, lasagne was very good, pork was overdone and tiramisu was average. It is outdoors which is nice but the night air was warm and very humid which made it a bit uncomfortable. Sofrito: I ate here one evening, again this is an open air restaurant so remember this if the evening is warm and humid. The appetizers were yummy but I did not enjoy my entree, goat. I found it a bit lacking in taste. Presentation was very nice.Blend: I ate here 1 evening. I did not enjoy my appetizer, gyoza which I felt were overcooked. My steak was a bit more well done than expected but was tender like butter. Puebla: I ate here 3 times, I enjoyed my salads and soup, all were quite tasty. I ordered chicken fajitas twice and beef once. Both entrees were nicely presented but average in taste.VKitchen: This is buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is a bit repetitive as most items were the same each day but a few selections changed. The omelettes were nicely made in the morning, and the usual assortment of breads, juices, cereal, yogurt etc. I really enjoyed the bolognese sauce at lunch and dinner. There were always a few selections of vegetables and assorted meats, the baked chicken was perfect. Some evenings only 2 or 3 of the restaurants were open depending on the number of guests.Entertainment:Daytime: There were not a lot of people around to join in daytime entertainment so not a lot happened, darts and water polo were quite popular. I enjoyed the cooking demonstration one afternoon. The foam party on Saturday afternoon was quite popular. There was no evening show Saturday night, only the disco. The morning after the party, there was a scum on the surface of the pool.Evening: POOR, There are no Michael Jackson or Hollywood Movie theme entertainment nights. The animation team organizes the evenings. I missed a couple of nights including the magic show which I was told was quite good. The Dominican night was average. The retro night I thought was most popular as many got up to dance to disco beats around the pool. There was no show after this, only disco. The karaoke evening was poorly attended and only a few participated so the animation staff sang a few Spanish songs. There was no evening show after this, only the disco. There was a singer one evening and a keyboard player, she was very good. In between their sets the DJ put on music. There was no show after this, only the disco.Disco: Music is Spanish and a little too loud for me but I went a couple of evenings and stayed for 30 minutes or so. This is the only bar open after the one at the pool closes.I am used of seeing management walk around resorts and asking a guest or two about their vacation and if everything is to their liking, I didn't see any management walking around and speaking to guests. I did see one of the chef's in VKitchen one day at lunch and complimented him on a nice selection and a very tasty bolognese sauce.Staff: There are more than i thought there would be who do not speak or understand English. It took 4 staff one evening in Rosmarino to communicate we would like to order a dessert which we had not done at the beginning of the evening. One day at lunch, we were asked by one of the animation staff if 2 of the animation team could join us for lunch, of course we said yes. The conversation was short as neither spoke or understood English, only Spanish. I was trying to ask them how long they had worked at the hotel and where they are from in the Dominican etc. My trip was cut short due to the Hurricane, the hotel made us aware of what to expect and did a good job informing us what to do and what they had done and will do. They informed the tour companies we should be vacated.
