Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe is a great getaway resort for both families and couples. The food options here are average. Make sure to reserve your a la carte restaurants at the beginning of your stay, as most of these restaurants get booked relatively quickly. The buffet items aren't that exciting. For those looking for good food in this resort, the best place to visit is the golf-course. There is a separate area in the resort for families with children (where babysitting services are available). This area includes an animal themed water-park, perfect for kids. The beach area is beautiful, well-maintained, and there are plenty of loungers available. There is also plenty of aquatic activities available, so you'll never have a shortage of things to do!
Barcelo Bavaro needs free internet (40 USD for 6 nights and slowly internet is too much)Beach serviceMale staff who respect women who travel alone! The beach and the food at some of the restaurants were amazing!
This property was well laid out and offered many different pool and beach experiences. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but the quality of the rooms and amenities were a bit limited. Food was pretty good in the steakhouse and the french restaurant, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good.
Do you not waste your time or money on this hotel. I'll start with the rooms, they are average but the issue is once it started to rain we noticed the leaks in the ceiling and around the room. Our pillows and and all were wet. The management was nice but could not do much to accommodate, since this was the 2nd room we were given due to issues. We received an upgrade to the premium food but that proved to be useless. The food was disgusting. We are off resort most nights, even opting to get Papa johns delivered. Highly disappointed and will never go back!
First of all, I think the Resort has rightly 5 Stars. I am from Germany but try to write this recession in english for your better understanding. There are more positive than negative things. Let's start with the bad ones. At the beginning I was a bit disappointed. The room was nice (yakuzi!!) but could be cleaner and needed some litte renovations (depreciation or wear and tear, mostly in the bath). A no go were the yellow tracks in one of the beds. Of course this was quickly changed after reclamation. A part of the staff is rude and not really friendly. Sometimes a 'you're welcome' or 'excuse me, here's your drink' would already help. In my opinion, the breakfast is the weak point as regards the food. There could be more variety and I end up eating omelette every morning. Now the positive things. Apart from the mentioned problems with the housekeeping, the resort is a very clean one. The pools, restaurants, bars, ... are very clean and beautiful. The staff always strive that every guest has something to drink. Sometimes it isn't even nevessary to reorder a drink - you just get another one. I liked this very much, because you feel appreciated. There are a lot of restaurants and tried them all, except the japanese. Overall, the food was good. Not excellent but also really not bad. Because of the 11 Restaurants there was variety which was helpful. The steakhouse was the only really flop regarding the main meal (I ordered 'mixed grill'). Furthermore the Sportsbar was great because you got something to eat 24/7 and so it was e.g. possible to get a very good snack between lunch and dinner. In total, I always had the feeling the food was fresh and I never had any problems with it. This is not necessarily always the case. Yeah and of course the Beach was really nice and I spent almost all of the time there. To sum up, I would come back but would expect improvements regarding the rooms.
We went with 3 other couples to celebrate a birthday. The resort itself is beautiful and laid out very well. Our room was an oceanfront suite, so there were no complaints in that department, but if we were staying on the backside of the property I would have been really disappointed. My biggest complaint was the lack of dining options during the day. Our only choice of food was the same buffet everyday. The food was down right terrible, and there were no healthy choices.
