Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort

A good resort in Punta Cana. This place is more suited for families with children. However, there are some quiet spots around the resort, making it a suitable place for couples as well. It should be noted that unless you're a platinum member, there are some amenities that might be missing from your stay. However, this does not take away from your experience. This a must-go place for those looking for a perfect beach and incredibly spacious rooms.
At first glance, the resort seems pretty decent: it's very spacious and the decor at the lobby is very nice. When you check in, they welcome you with a nice slushy minty drink. However, we received terrible customer service. When we first checked in, they forgot to give us the room key, they didn't give us clear instructions on how or where to get our luggage or how to get wifi. I didn't know where the stop was for the Trolley to get to the room. We spent about an hour trying to figure it all out on our own in this huge resort. Not to mention how annoying it was waiting for the Trolley and hoping there was space to get on it.The free Wifi is only in the lobby and it doesn't work if there are a lot of people connected to it. That is the lamest excuse I've ever heard being that there are thousands of guests staying at the resort at a time. The wifi is not reliable whatsoever. The rooms were dirty, everything in the bathroom was corroded (see pictures attached). There were insects all over the wooden bed frame. The pillows were dirty and there were hidden charges for many services that are usually included in all inclusive hotels. For example if you ask for an extra towel, you would get charged a fee. Room service is an additional fee, and the minibar isn't completely free either. The entertainment is boring, it basically consists of basic dance performances in nice costumes (nothing special). They didn't really engage the audience. There was no music playing by the pool area nor did I see any entertainment by the pool. The food was okay, can't really expect much from an all inclusive resort. The staff at the Pescador Restaurant were really friendly. At one point, the Trolley driver dropped my drink and didn't even apologized for it. I brought it to his attention and he said that it was good it happened that way so I don't get drunk. The staff were really rude.Overall, I didn't feel like I got a real Punta Cana or Dominican Republic experience and I will not be returning to this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all!! There are plenty of beautiful resorts in Punta Cana, do not stay here.
Pro'sGood spacious room, decent food but what makes this place worth 5 stars are the people that work there. Special thanks to our babysitter Anairis. Mommy and daddy could watch the evening shows while Liam played in our room with her. You could see that he really liked her.Very good kids club. I still have the songs that the do with the kids in my head. Also fashion show and early evening club are lots of fun. Also special thanks to Chavely (worked both in kids club and professional dancer, guess if you are young you have the energy), Alexandra and Claribel. If price remains the same will come back.Only con was that there were a few cigarettes in the mean area's. People, Please throw them in a bin. Otherwise my toddler will find them and puts in in his mouth.
We (three friends) have spent 11 days in hotel Bávaro Princess and were overwhelmed by the spacious rooms, all-inclusive options and the exemplary service.Food is not only served in the excellent self-service main restaurant (Hispaniola), but also at several specialty restaurants which all are part of the all-inclusive plan (Italian, Chinese, Teppan Yaki - they put on a great show, Gaucho grill, fish, etc.).This hotel offers a huge array of included drinks at several bars including at the beach and both pools. The drinks in your minibar (water, beer, coke and sprite) are also included. The service was wonderful, all members of the staff clearly put on a huge effort for your enjoying the stay. Most of them are always ready for a little joke and in ten days I can merely recall one single encounter with a slightly moody person (who otherwise did their job well). This is the perfect place to "charge up your batteries". The beach is great for taking a bath, a swim or performing water sports. Snorkeling and diving are offered as rather pricy excursions, but sadly aren't possible within or in vicinity of the resort. Though the rooms show some signs of ageing, they were perfectly kept, freshly painted and offered a lot of space. Ours was equipped with a phone, a coffee maker with (good) coffee and tea, room safe, iron and ironing board, fan, high quality A/C, Satellite TV, large bubble bathtub, shower, hairdryer and bath amenities. There was largely enough storage space for our stuff and plenty of furnishing inside the room and on our terrace. This was a most exceptional all-inclusive-experience to us and we are firmly decided to come again in 2018.
Four of us went for 9 days to celebrate my birthday and just kick back on the beach. We went ahead and upgraded to Platinum and it was well worth it. We were able to make reservations for dinner, go to sister hotel's restaurants, free massage, lobster dinner at the Seafood restaurant, top shelf liquor, and a reserved place on the beach. The platinum section on the beach was wonderful with great service. Vilenia Jean was the best server ever! She always had a smile and often anticipated our needs. The Coco Loco and the Margaritas were our favorite drinks. Nikki was great at the Platinum Lounge. Check in and check out was a breeze. Our Apple representative, William was great and very helpful. Went on the outback tour up into the mountains - Santa Libre! This tour provided much information about the area and culture and ended with a fun day at the beach, well worth the money. The grounds were lovely. The ecology area was fun to walk through. The Beach! This was the highlight of this vacation! Pristine beaches; walked as far as I wanted in either direction, and the beach extended into the water-soft smooth sandy bottom.Food was as expected with the beef items being exceptionally good. The steak house and Japanese were our favorites, followed by the Brazilian (at Tropical Princess) and the Asian restaurant (at the Caribe Princess). I did take bug spray and needed it. Beware of the sand fleas at night on the beach. The hotel is older and could use some upgrades, but overall the vacation was what we were looking for. Again the staff was great, everyone always had a smile and went out of the way to make our stay great.
On 10/7/2016 my fiancée and I took a quick trip to this resort through apple vacations for my 44th birthday. It was a surprised birthday gift for me. Unfortunately it was very disappointing on how the staff treated us. We were not greeted with a welcoming feeling that we normally get at any 5-6 golden apple resort that apple vacations has booked us in the past. The staff members would look us directly in our faces and not speak which I felt was very rude. The staff members kept staring at us making us feel very uncomfortable because of the assumption that we were either a local from their country or that we were a couple who they believed should not be staying in this so called luxurious resort. The rooms had little black bugs in them especially on the bathroom. The king size bed was hard as a rock. I could not sleep on it without tossing all night. The restaurants had different times they would stay open which unfortunately there were NO restaurants that were open 24hrs. The language barriers was a huge issue because most of the staff members at this resort did not speak any language other then Spanish. The resort had several staff members trying to convinced couples to purchase property from their "vacation club" which they say is not a time share. My opinion people who go on vacation to enjoy the everyday hustle and bustle of work do not want to be bothered with people trying to sell them time share or a vacation club taking more then ninety minutes out of their day only to have the sells representative not speak English well, not know the information of what he is selling, or even fall asleep during the vacation VIDEO that you show during the presentation. I was so disappointed that I made a huge complaint the final day of our departure to the point that the manager tried to offer us free couple massages and I declined the services. This resort will never receive any of my money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
