Bavaro Princess All Suites Resort

A good resort in Punta Cana. This place is more suited for families with children. However, there are some quiet spots around the resort, making it a suitable place for couples as well. It should be noted that unless you're a platinum member, there are some amenities that might be missing from your stay. However, this does not take away from your experience. This a must-go place for those looking for a perfect beach and incredibly spacious rooms.
At the end of the last year i stayed there for 4 days with my friends for a business trip and I'd would say that was a very nice experience for all of us, really impressed us for the attention we received the from the director of the hotel and all the staff, we spend a lot of time by the lobby and the bartenders there were treating us so special that we really wished that we could have stayed longer, we took time to walk around , go swimming "the beach is so nice"! In our las day we did some excursions to see outdoor a bit, the Dominicans people are so polite and friendly, all the guys we met always were available to answer our questions, recommendations etc... at the end of the day we wanted to go shopping to get some souvenirs for our staff back home and researching around we found Olasouvenirs store where definitely we found all we needed for our people so thanks to you guys. You travelers, anytime you think of traveling in punta cana BAVARO princess is your best destinations, hasta la vista baby!
Book platinum it is worth it... Double the price to upgrade once you get there. Suites are close to everything and the extras are what made the trip. Resort, people and beach are fantastic. Italian restaurant was awesome, Chinese was absolutely horrible. Avoid any salads or anything that is not cooked, alot of group was sick. I am thinking filtered water is not used to rinse foods. Make sure you bring anti diaherra medication.
My wife and I got married at the Hard Rock in 2011. It was amazing and worth the money we paid. We go back to DR on a average once a year. This was a last minute trip and the only resort available was Bavaro Princess. Online it was rated a 5Star. Well once we got there i will tell you that the rating was wrong. 3 and half Star at best. Our room 113 shower was clogging up for the first two days to point that the washroom was flooded. The food was just ok. The worst was for the $5300cdn we paid as couple I was so disappointed that they do not serve drinks on the beautiful beach. We have been to The DR many times but we're very unhappy and felt we got ripped off. I would not recommend it if your paying $2500 Plus like we did. I can see it being more of a $1200 a person resort. The resort itself is very well maintained overall and the beach is beautiful. But for that type of money I would go back for my 3rd time to The Hard Rock. They are Night and Day in comparison
We are a family of five and decided to vacation for our first time over New Year's.It was our third visit to Punta Cana in two years. We love Bavaro Beach. We've stayed at Bahia Principe and the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real.We preferred the two latter resorts vs. the Bavaro Princess. Most of the staff were terrific. Special mention goes to Germania and Yordi who were greeting guests at the Italian and Pescador restaurants. They were friendly, efficient and made the best of a difficult situation. That's because this resort doesn't allow reservations to the a la carte restaurants as it's first come first serve and you end up waiting 1-1/2 hours most of the time. This is not guest friendly, and we would not return for this reason alone. Reinaldo, Antoine and Francina were servers which we had the pleasure of having and were excellent. Making sure we were looked after and worked hard to make our meal experience an enjoyable one. They should be commended. The beach was excellent. Although there is no beverage service by staff. The grounds were well cared for and beautiful. The Bavaro Princess is rated a 5 star, but we would rate it more a 4 due to missing the small details. Some examples: Cleanliness needs improvement. Saw some litter through the day which was never picked up. Empty soap and paper towel dispensers in Beach bathrooms. Had to ask to fill our mini fridge as it was not stocked when we checked in. Also had to ask for bed blankets and towels as the blankets were not provided and only provided 2 bath towels for 3 people. Our second room was a honey moon suite which came along with some perks. None of the perks were presented to us until the day prior to our departure. This was a total disappointment as we had to use all the perks on our final day. Overall we had a pleasant vacation but would rather visit another resort due to the reasons mentioned above.
I rated this resort as high as "average", mainly because of the friendly & wonderful staff. Despite the numerous issues, the majority of the staff (except for one very rude guy who demanded that we leave our room or pay) were extremely helpful and accommodating. I give a particular shout-out for exceptional customer service to Eduardo & Jerry at the front desk, and Jean and Edgar in Guest Services. All of these gentlemen were extremely empathetic and helpful when we ran into problems. They went above and beyond! The main problem stems from Sunwing Vacations advertising the resort as a five star; however, the rooms we were given were 3 star at best. DO NOT book the Junior Suites! These rooms are located in a decrepit old building on the property (near the main lobby and small pool in the "3" series rooms). We had two rooms...the first two rooms smelled so bad (musty) we couldn't even stand being in there for five minutes. The next room that we were moved to was dirty... next room after that was very noisy (disco nearby, fridge and air-conditioning not working properly and were very loud, we could constantly hear water and toilets flushing, phone didn't work, cockroaches, the list goes on and on).We spent one night in there and couldn't stand it any more. We had no choice but to pay extra so that we could be moved to a Bungalow suite, as it was clear that every room in that Junior Suite building had something wrong with it.The Sunwing rep (Alex) was not sympathetic or helpful at all.For our inconvenience, Jean in Guest Services gave us an extended check out time and helped organize a nice birthday dinner for my son. On the day that were leaving, we received a rude phone call from "someone unknown" at the front desk demanding that we leave the room immediately or pay. When we tried to explain that we had an extended check out, his response was a rude "it's not in the system". This guy kept on insisting that we leave and that our extended check out was not in the computer...basically calling us liars instead of taking it upon himself to simply go and check with guest services as I had suggested. He actually yelled & hung up on me. When I tried inquiring at the front desk as to who the person was, nobody would give me a direct answer. The food in general was OK. The Japanese restaurant and Chopin (wonderful staff and service at this one) were my faves. Overall the steakhouse was not good but we liked the filet Minot. The grounds are really beautiful and well manicured and the beach is gorgeous too… We were very comfortable in the Bungalow suites, they are lovely.I would not return to this resort. We made the best of it, really thought the majority of staff were friendly & wonderful...overall enjoyed ourselves; however, there were too many of these annoying issues. I blame Sunwing for misleading about the rooms and the rude guy on check out being the last straw.
