We have read many reviews before coming here, a proportion were not that good. All i can say is i dont know what they expect but this hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff work extremely hard, they dont expect tips but if you do it is much appreciated and you get a big smile. The food is amazing, the only downside is that there arent enough vegetables but when you leave the restaurants you almost feel you should get a bill as the service is that good. Wondered over to the non Royal side a few times and found the service and quality not as good by far so it is very much worth coming to the Royal hotel. Going on to the pool concierge and fun and games on the beach, they ask you if you want to join in but do not hound you to do so. Fun and friendly staff, a special thanks to Jose supervisor and Jose Alexander, Juilio and jhan carlos who helped make our stay even more enjoyable and fun. The last thing i will mention is the beach; yes it has seaweed but i can swim in it so its not too much. Overall, an amazing place with excellent people. We will definitely come back.
Will be going back in September 2017 and this will be our 4th time to the resort. Everybody are sooo friendly, the facilities are fantastic never had any problem with the food with so many places to eat and such a variety. The beach is fantastic it does suffer from seaweed but ground workers are there early cleaning it up every day. A little Spanish ''hello ,thank you'' goes a long way. Didn't think we would ever go back to the same place once never mind 4 times. wife is counting down the weeks till as she says we will be in ''PARADISE'' .See you soon
Hotel staff throughout property was nice and friendly, especially Julio and Alexander with the entertainment and activities. Jennifer in the front lobby was sweet and helpful. Manager Adriana is not capable of handling guest issues and is quick to brush people off and walk away.
Visited this hotel again for the second time. I E-Mailed hotel informing them that we were celebrating our 27th anniversary. Things have slightly changed from 3 years ago. At check in the reception lady tried to sell us an upgrade to a privileged suite at 30 us each per night. No thanks. Was then told they hadn't received the E-mail. We were first given room 4250. This was a nightmare as the air con didn't work and was so noisy. Thankfully the next day they upgraded us to a privileged suite, room 3856 much, much better. Staff are very attentive especially Jose on the beach who was trying to teach my wife Spanish and Alexander who are not bad dancers either. Food is generally Ok but please don't waste your time going to the Italian it appears they use pre frozen meals which they microwave. Tasted as such bland and dry. Best was the Mikado (Japanese). If you want a bed on the beach get up early as the morning early birds have already reserved theirs by about 07.00 hrs. Please give the odd Dollar to the room cleaner they work awfully hard. They have a market on the beach every Tuesday but their prices start way to high wanted $48 for a bottle of rum which the same in the hotel store is $14. My only disappointmet was they have stopped serving Ron Barcello rum at the bars and replaced it with Brugal. Not nice. Overall you will have a great time and no sick tummies.
The property was beautiful! Most of the staff was friendly and we were well taken care of! We would go back but in our winter as it was so hot and humid. Your palm trees were amazing . We loved the variety and how they were placed!
