Our Opinion

This resort is quickly becoming a popular choice for travelers to Punta Cana. The Hard Rock Punta Cana is a large resort with over 1700 rooms and 9 pools! It also has a casino, disco, shopping and a ton of dining options. This resort is an excellent choice for couple, families and singles a like. A bit more expensive then some of the other resorts in the area, but well worth it!

Incredible Experience with something for everybody!

The hotel itself was amazing. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. Overall the food was very good. The best part were the people who made the stay amazing. You did not feel that you were a nuisance to them, rather they really wanted to wait on you. The entertainment team at the pool kept the party going all day long. They showed up at 10am ready to entertain and make your day very enjoyable. Gerald really made it a point to interact with everyone, he made our stay so much more enjoyable!

Beautiful beach, huge property.

Lots to do for everyone. We took our kids and grandchild one week and stayed out by the kids pool Second week we were away from kids area and enjoyed adult time with friends. Casino was awesome, spa is grand and all the staff are fantastic. They are renovating some of the rooms and streets so that was a bit frustrating.

9 Years and counting

Be kind and thoughtful to all of the HR Staff for while they serve from their hearts to please us, they are people with families and deserve Love and Respect!Learn a few power lines in spanish as that makes them feel very good about their culture

Good service, bad food

The resort was very large; the service was good; there was lots of opportunities to drink. drink, drink. The food was awful. Sorry but all were buffets and the quality was not good. We had a very nice time at the wedding but the four day weekend could have been outstanding with better/even average food. Very disappointed with tehefood

Two weeks at the Hard Rock

So....we got back yesterday from a two week stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana and while the memories are fresh let's start by saying that the resort is extremely clean, and spacious. Our check in was very smooth; no hard pitch on any time share meeting and we were in our room by 3pm after a nice lunch at the Market. The room was a junior suite; very nice with all the amenities, including a king size bed, jacuzzi, flat screen tv, and a HUGE shower that could probably fit 4 people! Our stay was a lot of fun, we did two excursions:, the Dominican Experience (if you get Milton as a guide you will have a fun time) and Horseback riding along the beach (highly recommended!). We did massages; shout out to Dorca, and mani/pedis; shout out to Bernarda and Rosa. We ate at all the restaurants; Isla was our favorite! All the food was very good but a little on the salty side. The eggs and coffee are amazing! The entertainment was excellent with a different theme show each night. We enjoyed the Magic show and the Michael Jackson tribute (get there early for good seats up front!). There are also live bands in the lobby that are very good. We spent some time at the Sun bar and the Moon lounge, lively and fun. The beach is wonderful; the sand is like powder and the service at the beach is very good, same at the pools. Women can go topless at the beach and at the Eden pool although not many ladies chose this option! We enjoyed the Sax pool for some quiet time and the Eden pool which is adults only. The foam party at the main pool is super fun and not to be missed. The spa and gym are both first class! My only criticism and room for improvement at this resort would be the carts, motor scooters and trams that go around the property. First off the drivers go way too fast, and second the trams and carts are so quiet you don't hear them coming up on you. My recommendation would be 1. Drivers - slow down!, especially the motor scooters and room service carts and 2. Get a bell installed on all the trams and use it when you are coming up behind people walking on the paths! All in all this is a well run very luxurious resort and I would recommend a stay here! We were in building 2B on the 4th floor. From that location its just a short walk to the Sax pool, Eden pool, Isla restaurant and the beach. One last thing to keep in mind is that the noise level in the halls can get a little loud at times.
