Great trip

A great resort, nice rooms, very good service. About a 7 minute walk to the beach or a short ride on one of those carts that come by often and you rarely need to wait more than 2 minutes. Thought the distance would bother us but it really didn't. Top shelf liquor in bars and you don't have to ask for it. Out of a la carte restaurants we liked the italian Il Paradiso the best, but we didn't try the Mexican as it was booked the whole time we were there. A lively beach volleyball court that the kids were very excited about. Free wi-fi throughout the resort, some spots better than others but no problem watching netflix in your room, just have to log in once every day. The castle that light up in the evening certainly adds a nice touch, very pretty to look at. A very nice resort overall!

Very disappointed

Was with a large group of almost 40 people as part of a family reunion. The two things they stick out about this trip are:The linens smelled like old water every day (even the clean ones)20% of the staff are what you would expect from a 5 star resort. The rest are not interested in putting the extra effort in to be friendly and welcoming. They’re just punching a timecard and more than willing to ignore you or use their cellphones. 4 people in or our party fell ill during the trip. Food in the buffet is 3 star at best and the setup for the a la carte reservations needs to be modified to allow more guests to try the restaurants. On my last night the guest services rep booked me for the wrong restaurant. Assistant manager promised on the first day that he would do something special because our room was very late getting ready and we had small children. Nothing was done. Would not recommend this resort to friends or family.

Amazing 4 days

We up-grated to this hotel from Bahia Punta Cana. There is nothing that I can say was bad. The only thing is am a coffee lover and even in Fantasia I could not get cappuccino or Spanish coffee.Every one that I run in to spoke English which was nice if you need it some thing. The lobby is open concept with every thing white and bright, glass... just beautiful. There is information board with shows that are playing each day and kids entertainment. Rooms are specious and bright clean. Each day the room was clean twice a day with towels changed during day and evening after you go for dinner so when you come back you room looks like it was clean get the bathtub and the shower in the bathroom which is great with kids. The single bed would easily fit 2 kids.Mini bar is restocked every day with drinks (Pepsi, orange crash etc), kids get apple juice and orange juice + 2 packs of chips. You get 3 small bottles of alcohol.Buffet is fantastic lots of choices for adults and kids. At the restaurant in the morning you order coffee it came with in few minutes.. The waiters never forgot you they keep coming and asking if you need any thing ales. You can get table any time no mater what time you come for dinner.Pool area always had chairs and kids slides area was also great. We has kids ranging from 1 till 13 years of age and they all enjoyed the kids section. They have the best ice cream inside the castle by the pool.Entertainment was amazing our kids did not want to go to the room till the show in the lobby finishes and then we move to the one by the have to see them no recording will capture the show.I will recommend this hotel to any one.

Fantastic time at the Fantasia

From Dec 29/17 to Jan 5/18, my family and I vacationed with my brother and sister-in-law and their 2 children and we had a marvelous time! We arrived to the hotel with a large group of people and I was certain that we would spend hours waiting to check-in but I was pleasantly surprised. After being greeted with a signature drink, we completed some paperwork and were given our room keys extremely efficiently. And, although my brother and sister-in-law's room was not quite ready, the hotel had given us rooms close to one another so they were able to come up to our room to relax for about half and hour and then walk two doors over to their freshly made up room. The second day, my sister-in-law and I went to book some a la cartes. We were a bit worried about trying to find seating for 8, however Liselette put our fears to rest and was able to accommodate all of our needs. Thank you so much Liselette! The resort and beach were beautiful and so well maintained. The food was marvelous and 3 picky eaters had no trouble finding food for the entire week. The service we received while at the resort was outstanding and made our stay that much more enjoyable! Thank you to everyone at the Fantasia. What an amazing way to say goodbye to one year and hello to the next!

Perfect Family Vacation

Here is my review of the Fantasia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I went with my husband, 2 kids (ages 4 & 7) and myParents for my Mom's 60th birthday. We had an amazing vacation, the resort is beyond beautiful, very clean and modern, service was great!!! Our rooms were cleaned and mini bar re-stocked each day!! Couldn't of asked for a better vacation!!!I emailed the resort 2 weeks prior as suggested from this group with my room request and al a carte picks. I asked for a 3rd floor castle view and adjoining rooms with my parents. I did not get the castle view but did get 3rd floor and our rooms Were next to each other but not adjoining. Our view was still beautiful and not having the castle view was fine.We received all but one of our al a carte requests and the one we didn't get was substituted for another for it all worked out 🙂Dining:The resort has two buffets to choose from for breakfast and lunch. The Main one by the lobby and the castle one by the pool. We preferred the atmosphere of the castle and its location to the pool but I found the selection better at the main buffet. All of our Al a Carte meals were delicious! We went to...Garden Grill which was very yummy but nothing special.Maiko and had a cooking table. Show was great and the food amazing!!! Rodizio Brazilian at the Esmeralda (this is the one we received as a substitute) - im so glad they booked this for us!! The food was to die for!! The signature drink was delicious and the meat was mouth watering!! Le Gourmet - the decor here was beautiful and modern and the food so delicious! The buffet for the kids was a work of art in itself. Each piece of food it's only little creative masterpiece. A definite must see!! My parents also went to the French restaurant at one of the Ambar's and said it was delicious! ***The snack bar by the waterpark serves popsicles all day and light snacks and the castle bar by the pool has soft serve ice cream all day which the kids loved. They also serve over the top milkshakes in the castle bar each day at 3.***Beach/Pool/Waterpark:My kids preferred the main pool and we spent most of our time here!! The kids performers did songs and games each day at 11 & 3 and my 4yr old really enjoyed those activities! My 7yr old preferred the water park and went down the slides for hours! We did check out the Turquesa one day and it was fun but much more crowded and outdated. The beach was fun and we spent two afternoons there. I like that the Fantasia guests have their own section so finding chairs wasn't an issue. The Fantasia only buffet on the beach is a nice touch as well! **note you need shirt and shoes to dine there**Entertainment:There is a calendar of events in each lobby and you can also look it up on the Bahia app. They have kids shows each day at 8pm usually in the Bahia Village by the main lobby. Then adult shows at 9pm in the theatre in the lobby as well. The Lion King and Michael Jackson shows are amazing!!! We also saw the Princess show which was more of a Disney show at the castle one night. If you go to the kids club early on the Lion King and Princess nights your kids can be in the show.Fun Maker Park across from the Turquesa... they have one bumper boat, a few slow bumper cars, a small Mini putt course and a few other things. $10 per child. Not worth it in my opinion. They have a small arcade downstairs by the teens club is suited for smaller kids which costs $1 per game. They have fair type games, some claw tob ya and a few small ride ones. The kids enjoyed it. We went on the Monkeyland excursion which was fun!! My husband and dad went fishing. I would not suggest fishing for kids as the water was super rough and many of the adults got sick and had to go back to shore. Monkeyland was great for the kids!!! We purchased through the men in yellow shirts by the pool rather than our transat rep as it's convienant to do it while at the pool and the price was better.I would suggest this resort to everyone travelling with kids!!!
