good vacation

we spent in that hotel 2 weeks in november 2017. very nice hotel and service. very good food, i have never eaten so much seefood in my life. everyday they offered different kind of fish, shrimps and so on....plus tuesday is a gala dinner night, so they offeres lobsters. you can eat as much as you can cause they always bring more and more. same with drinks. good quality alcohol drinks as much as one can drink.room cleaning was fair.the only problem was beach. beach space is limited and it looks more like a cinema than a beach. lots of people. see the photo. reality is that people from 6 hotels are put to 2 hotels beach space. one can get used to that but at first its a little too much :-) same with beach towels, they never have them. if you loose one its a problem. you can get a new one olny by going to reception and ordering a new one. after that it might take hours for them to bring one to your room. the rest is good. i can recommend it as a family vacation :-)

Great Family Resort!

We were there from Oct 5th to 13th. The staff was amazing, welcoming and very friendly when we arrived at the resort, check-in was smooth and quick. The room was nice and with a great view of the main pool area. The beach is beautiful but you have to walk for about 10 minutes, there are trans running back and forth all the time but we found that they were always full or not able to carry a baby stroller. The food was amazing in all aspects. The pool area was nice and clean, the only downfalls are there weren't enough shaded areas around the pool for us since we had our 5-month-old baby with us and the service at the swim-up bar was very slow. If you didn't tip $5 each time you went for drinks, you had to wait at least 15-20 minutes. Overall I give this resort a 4*.

Nothing to tell except awful!!

Hello to readers,This resorts we can say is a 4.8 starts for those facts. We a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 infants 2 and 3 years old, visiting between the 8 of 16 of October 2017.One important fact compared to the others we went out of season!!Everything run well from the reception to the housekeeping. The Buffet restaurant: new theme every night, yes some stuff come back regularly but is not everyone eating the same things everyday, but at least the theme is different. The foot is fresh and there everyday, event the bacon and the guacamole. All the staff was very nice like in Mexico, it look like the staff change and the staff is nice one each two week, depends who you reading.Nice people: Housekeeping: Valencia for the room 982xx.Restaurant buffet :Rosa, Carlos and the nice tall big guy of 6’5´´, sorry I lost my notes in my phone. The staff at the beach restaurant very nice. At the playa a bit long to get a waiter/waitress for ask a drink but one asked, the delay was ok.The Italian restaurant at the Fantasia, all the food was to salty. The steak house, the food was nice specially the braissé, my little girl eat the whole dish, but no filet mignon at the menu and the T-bone is big in the dish but not very good. The Castle is light everyday nights, very nice.Pool : like a progressive beach , nice.Watermark at Fantasia: nice water park, for the kids to 1 to 10. Minus the parents who do not watch they children and they poop into the pool without diapers, poor mind people who don’t think to others!?! And they force to close the pool. You can also go to the beach of the Esmeralda water park, both are nice for the kids of age 2 to 8.Yes we tips almost everyone to the housekeeping to the bellman. Two minus thing: the minibar was not fill up everyday and we did get our 2 big’s bottles of water half of the time :( You must ask for the dark rhum is your drink other wise they served virgin drink. So I did read almost all the comments before chosen this hotel, is a very nice hotel nothing negative really to tell all positive. Overall a real 4.8 starts. Let’s see the results in January:)So for concluded see you the 8 of January 2018.Cheers.SJNL From Montréal

Beautiful atmosphere

We did not stay here so I can't comment on the rooms but the grounds are wonderful. They have something for everyone at this resort, especially kids. Teen club, teen gym etc. There's a mini Disney castle in the middle of the pool, very pretty at night. Only improvement needed is we waited 40 minutes for a tram to get to another resort.

Small improvements would make it a 5 star

Just returned back home after a week stay in the Fantasia hotel. The hotel was beautiful with modern furnishings and buildings which were always clean, lovely pool area with 3 large pools including a swim up bar. The selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks was very good with good value alcohol when requested. The larimar, beach and circus restaraunts always had a good selection and majority of food was lovely and good quality. The themed restaraunts we tried were ok, nothing to rave about. We tried the Italian, Steakhouse and Tex-Mex which had a good variety but the quality of the main courses were just ok and we weren't bothered about eating there again. Service was great with the majority of the staff, restaraunt, waiters, maids and bell boys all very helpful. Only person we had a problem with was a lady in the snack bar next to the kids play area who acted like you had just asked her for her life savings not a sandwich. Found her very rude with us but as soon as a Spanish speaking person came over she completely changed which is unnaceptable for a hotel which attracts all nationalities. Great bus service to and from the beach. Beach lovely with plenty of seats, there is a lot of seaweed present but nothing the hotel can do about this, there was staff constantly gathering it into piles which seemed like a waste of time as there was plenty more. Rooms were gorgeous and very large, bathroom spacious also, bed very comfy and there was also lots of storage space. Main problems we can think that need sorting are the incredibly slippy floor in the larimar restaraunt, it was a task to walk around there in flip flops which obviously people are going to be wearing on holiday. Also we went to swap out towels about 10 times and only one of these times did they even have any available, this shocked us as the hotel was quite quiet considering its winter so god knows what its like in the summer, And when we finally got 'clean towels' they were filthy with large stains. Overall I would stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed my stay but feel that there are some improvements that need to be addressed.
