Our Opinion

The Now Larimar Punta Cana is a resort that is notable for top notch customer service. Regardless of whatever need or concern, the attentive staff are always ready and willing to acknowledge and accommodate the needs of their guests. They're also incredibly personable and remember requests. Great food options to choose from. Many guests recommend eating at the Italian a la carte restaurant. They don't often take reservations, so make sure that you go early to avoid a long wait. There is a great beach area. However, there are days when it gets fairly busy and finding a lounger might be difficult. The pool however, offers a lot more space to lounge.

Food and drink could be better

I stayed here with my husband and 2 teenage children for 3 weeks commencing 18th JulyWe checked in and our room was very spacious and clean, we requested extra pillows but had to ask on five separate occasions before they actually arrived.Pool /beachThe beach was lovely but the loungeers were so cheap and uncomfortable but always plenty of space If you chose to stay thereAround the pool there was no umbrellas at all so if you need shade you would have to sit on the beach. The waitress service around the pool was excellent always checking your ok and remembering what you like to drink.(Danielle and Darmary) were the best!! The pool bar was a shame as they opened at 10:00am but you couldn't get a pina colda or any slushy drink to at least 12:00 as they were so watere they need to switch the machine on earlier. They constantly ran out of plastic glasses so you were drinking cocktails out of paper cups !!! Really not 5* It's not the same drinking out of paper cups !!There was a real lack of top shelf labelled dinks which was disappointing Food We had breakfast at the carnival buffet every day, which was ok apart from my son complaining that the crepes and waffles are stone cold as they cook them earlier they just leave them on the side . Who eats cold crepes and pancake??Service was always good in there Dario And Fraudy very helpful.Lunchtime Very limited choices as you either had to get dressed and walk to the carnival restaurant Or the other choice was a burger or hot dog from the grill.Castaways offered a varied menu with light lunch i.e. Sandwiches and nachos located on very close to the beach with stunning views!, but that was only accessible to preferred clubThe evening restaurants were ok f you wanted to eat at 6:30pm otherwise they were so busy and poor service and room temperature food.Entertainment At the start of our holiday there were 11 entertainment team but by the end you were lucky if you saw 4 of them !! Skinny boy, Scooby do Happy boy and 50cents all very polite and lots of fun !! Always dancing and chatting with guests. I would not return to this resort as the food and drink really let it down !!

Excellente Trip!

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at the resort with my family.the holiday was brilliant and we all had had such a nice time.don’t believe the negative reviews and try and speak a little Spanish as it will make your trip more enjoyable as the staff really appreciate it.I found every member of staff approachable and happy to speak to you.The Entertainment Team where great and a great bunch of lads. Scooby Doo, Skinny Boy, Happy Boy, Superman, Fifty Cent and Cappuccino are Brilliant.If you get involved in the events they do then you will have a great holiday.All the shows in the evening where great. Make sure you go see them all. The Fire Show on the beach was really good.Darling in the Preferred Team was brilliant when I had an issue and is a credit to this hotel. We did the ParaSailing and Speed Boat Trip that was on offer through the company that provide the water sports (Guys with Red Shirts)All prices are negotiable.For 2 Adults and 2 Kids for ParaSailing we paid $120 and for the Speed Boat Trip paid $200.Probably good to use those prices as a bench mark.Enjoyed all the restaurants, don’t believe the moaning about quality and taste.Make sure you take the walk\golf buggy to the Italian Restaurant to the Now Garden. Pasta there is brill.The Beach does have a lot of Seaweed on it and in the sea. so be warned if you are expecting clear waters and a completely white sandy beach.We just used the Pools mainly. The Big Pool can get busy so be aware of that and sun beds go quick. make sure you get one at 8am.we used the quieter "Preferred" Pool and mixed with some fantastic people. You get to know the people there so quickly and everyone is so polite to each other. Antiono Bandaras the Bar guy there is great.Overall we had a brilliant holiday and i would recommend the hotel to anyone.

We had a fantastic time. We upgraded to the preferred club and it was well worth it. All the staff were very helpful and friendly especially our butler Alberto. The resort was beautiful and clean and we would definitely recommend it!!

From a kids point of view

I over all think my expernice was great! Mine and my sisters first time in punta Cana. Every one was so nice and welcoming and I met so many cool people there. Mr. Bernardo was the best we had him as our waiter almost every morning at the carnival buffet.I especially loved the pools and the 9:30 shows although I wish there were some other stuff for kids after those shows! I love Now Larimar and would defenitly stay there again!!!!😄😃😜

Upon arrival, the staff took great care of us and our luggage. The manager, Juan Manuel, upgraded our room from Now Larimar to the Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana next door, and we had the best honeymoon ever!

Vacations packages include round-trip flights, accommodations, round-trip transfers (unless outlined below) to and from the hotel, and tourist cards (if required, unless outlined below).
