Our Opinion

The Now Larimar Punta Cana is a resort that is notable for top notch customer service. Regardless of whatever need or concern, the attentive staff are always ready and willing to acknowledge and accommodate the needs of their guests. They're also incredibly personable and remember requests. Great food options to choose from. Many guests recommend eating at the Italian a la carte restaurant. They don't often take reservations, so make sure that you go early to avoid a long wait. There is a great beach area. However, there are days when it gets fairly busy and finding a lounger might be difficult. The pool however, offers a lot more space to lounge.

Nice Punta Cana Vacation

We vacationed to the Now Larimar January 4th-11th and it was a wonderful experience. The resort is gorgeous and the staff was top notch. We would like to give a shout out to the waiter in the Mexican and buffet restaurant Nikkiol, great guy to talk to and very funny. We spent 90% of the days at the beach which was kept clean and there was always something going on (pairsailing, paddle boards, kayaking) the beach was also big enough to escape the noise and just relax.I recommend doing the off road buggy excursion if you like getting muddy.The only minor negative was the buffet selection there wasn’t much of a variety from night to night (Breakfast was awesome). The food at the restaurants were always a great meal! A thank you too Walter the night shift manager.I would recommend staying at this resort!

Nice Vacation

We stayed at Now Larimar Jan 11 - 21. The Resort is very big and has a ton of staff working at all times. The person most mentionable by far is Marcilino, what an asset to the resort. He seemed to be working day and night. After meeting us just once he remembered or names and room. We had asked for pillows and our robes (that were not in room when we arrived) for 3 days with no response, when Marcilino asked us how everything was I mentioned this and by the time we got back to our room someone was there with the items. He also contacted Dolphin Explorer when our tour company (Hola Tours) forgot us and they sent over a staff member to get us! The buffet is better than most Modesto, Miquel and Elise were our Favs! The a la cartes were ok the Mexican was good the Japanese tepenyaki was fun the Italian had good pizza but the mains were underwhelming but not bad and the blue water grill was good but hard to get in as most popular I think. Most disappointing was the way they handle the "preferred" upgrade. We chose not to(we offerred $300 but they refused) as I dont drink so the top shelf booze didnt interest me and the extra restaurant and beach area wasnt worth the money but the fact that they have 2 preferred pools and only 1 pool for the 90% that arent preferred seemed pretty crappy. The main pool is crawling with kids and huge inflatable kids slides its also where they play music and do water games which is fantastic but if I wanted a quiet place I had to "try" to find a beach lounger or sit in my room. Loved the entertainment staff/shows. Mary de la Rosa our housekeeper and Rosie our night time turn down lady were top notch!!

Great location, Presidential Suite, Butler Davis

We upgraded to the Presidential Suite and got Butler Davis who went out of his way every single day to make our stay special. All the staff at the resort were extremely friendly and kind - the best we have ever had in the Caribbean. Front Desk manager, Cesar Sanchez, treated us with the utmost respect. Andreas in the Preferred Club was very friendly and FUN. The grounds were immaculate and interiors very clean. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to go back there again. The only drawback was that most of the food was very bland - it looked delicious, but looks were deceiving. We enjoyed our 6 night stay there very much. Also, weather was just about perfect, except for a few showers... best beaches to walk on for miles...

Go Back in a Heartbeat

Best vacation me and my family have ever been on. Everyone was so welcoming and very very nice. The entertainment was nonstop; whether it was pool side, at the beach, the performance in the plaza, the casino, disco and so much more! We absolutely loved the entertainment team!! We loved "Baby Face" the most. He was our absolute favorite! He treated us so well (almost like royalty) and was very nice, funny and a lot of fun! There is no such thing as a bad time when he is around. He made accommodations for us that just made our trip perfect. If you ever have a problem (which you won't) or have any questions he is the guy to go to. He makes you feel special and really want to make sure your experience at Now Larimar is phenomenal. Some other favorites from the entertainment team we had were Cappuccino, 50 Cent, Mariachi, Happy Boy, Edwin, and Scooby Doo. The service we had while we were there was unbelievable. We made reservations for the hibachi place for 7 but 4 were on an excursion and the 3 boys were waiting for us at the restaurant. The reservation were at 6 and us 4 girls didn't back to the resort until 6:04 so we thought we would just find something else to eat for dinner since we were running late and let the boys just go ahead and eat there. Well as soon as we get one step off the bus, Action Jackson says " we are waiting for you. We are holding the table." So he escorts us to the restaurant and talks to the girl there and gets her to let us in even though our hair is still wet, we are still in swimsuits and cover ups, so obviously we are not dresses to code but she lets us in anyway. I mean seriously so so nice of them. The food was awesome at every restaurant. Our favorite server at the Mexican restaurant and at the buffet was Neikol. We had him every morning at the Buffett and he made us reservations at the Mexican restaurant. He was so nice and a lot of fun. While we were finishing eating he comes out with a plate that says in chocolate syrup "I love my family" I mean come on how nice was that. He also made cool bird noises. While poolside our glasses were never empty. Those waiters and waitresses were on top of things. We are absolutely more than satisfied with our experience here and would highly highly recommend if you ever get the chance to go go, but let me warn you about one will not want to leave. We were all so sad when we were saying goodbye to Baby Face as he came to see us off. We all want to stay but unfortunately vacation have to come to an end. I'm so thankful that we decided to stay here because if we hadn't I'm positive our vacation would not have been as good as it was. I would jump on a plane and go back in a heart beat.

a relaxing holiday in the sun.

A great place for families and people of all age groups. Our room was a deluxe tropical view preferred club room which was a good size, clean and comfy, although their description of tropical differed from mine.The facilities and food were of a good standard and all the staff friendly.Being a preferred club member was definitely worth the extra money. It meant there was a separate beach area and 2 pools specially for our use which was great if you wanted a little more peace.Our holiday was made all the more memorable by the attentive care of the butler service we received from David J. Espiritusanto. Nothing was too much for him. He made my birthday memorable by arranging several different treats and when my husband had to suddenly go into hospital he went out of his way to help which meant it wasn't a stressful time for me. His attitude was to make sure we had the best experience on holiday and he certainly succeeded in achieving his goal.
