Now Larimar Punta Cana
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Now Larimar Punta Cana is a resort that is notable for top notch customer service. Regardless of whatever need or concern, the attentive staff are always ready and willing to acknowledge and accommodate the needs of their guests. They're also incredibly personable and remember requests. Great food options to choose from. Many guests recommend eating at the Italian a la carte restaurant. They don't often take reservations, so make sure that you go early to avoid a long wait. There is a great beach area. However, there are days when it gets fairly busy and finding a lounger might be difficult. The pool however, offers a lot more space to lounge.
Second time to Punta Cana but first to Now Larimar. We were there for my wedding the beginning of April with a group of 32 people for ten days.Beach- Beautiful, ocean was very salty, and seaweed in the beginning there wasn't to much but as the trip went one it was everywhere. No problem getting a chair on the beach as its so big and they have tons of chairs.Pool area- A lot of broke chair and pool was clean. They had the big blow up slides in the pool but only for kids which was not fair adults like to slide too!Bars- Moments bar was terrible. Sports bar and preferred bars inside it seemed like you were bothering them if you asked for a drink. Pool bars were awesome. A couple bar tenders worth mentioning: Antonio Bandera at the quite preferred pool barMerfin and Leury at the swim up poolRestaurants-Like any other all inclusive food is just okay nothing amazing. Restaurants are small and if you have a big group you need to make a reservation days in advance. Did not go to French so I can not comment on that. Hibachi entertainment was okay had better, the tables in the hibachi restaurant are a separate menu and not very good. American restaurant food was barley cooked and bad service. Mexican was very good went twice. The best restaurant out of them all was the Italian at the Now Garden we went three times, they have a big salad bar, brick oven pizza and a big menu.Entertainment team- Terrible! They really need some help in this departmentthe only good member was "Sexy Chocolate" but he was gone for three days so it was very boring when he wasn't there to "try" and entertain.Shows at night, they had other people come into the resort to put on the shows and they were awful they needed more practice. Sports Lounge- Smells SO BAD!!! like mold! Only one old uneven pool table. Bowling alley you have to pay for which is ridiculous its an all inclusive, only saw one group the whole time bowling. Night club- Nice set up, except there are a lot of steps so if you've been drinking good luck going down.Bathrooms around the resort- Old looking, not very clean and some of the doors would not lock. We had our wedding on the beach so we had to use the Castaways bathroom on the beach and one of the toilets got clogged before the wedding even started and was not fixed.Wedding- Wedding Coordinators were very easy to work with. We emailed all the details back and forth for about four months before the wedding and they would respond back in about two to three days. Francina Rodriguez is who I was emailing but she went on vacation so I never to got to meet her. Lusia Miranda was my onsite coordinator and she was awesome! Everything we discussed and planned was done exactly how we wanted. Photographer- Our photographer was Claudia from WBA studios onsite. She did a great good capturing our day. The only thing we were upset about was she took a break for about 15 mins to let the sun go down but that wasted a lot of time and chances to take more pictures. We really wanted to go over to secrets and take pictures on near a bridge they had but since she took the break we didn't have enough time to get there and back. Also we never got a picture of just my husband and I on the beach and she never took a picture of my dad and I.Gym- Lots of ellipticals to choose from and a separate room for weights. Two of the treadmills were broken the entire time I was there, no sign on it saying its broken. It was very crowded in the morning so those two broken treadmills really made a difference having to wait for something to open up. Gym attendant Alexander was very nice, he always made sure you had a bottled water and a towel, it was very hot in there. Spa/salon- In our package we got a couples massage. The massage was great for me but my husband didn't like his so much. On the wedding day we had six total getting hair done and a few of us getting make up and lashes. I paid for two of the girls hair and lashes but the girls at the desk charged one of my girls for her lashes when I was already charged. I had to speak with Nick the spa manager to get the charge reversed, she said she would take take it it but when I went to pay my room balance it was still showing so we had to call over to the spa and finally got it fixed. ( Roberto in the preferred lounge helped me with this as well he was one of the nicest people at this resort)Rooms- My husband and I were in preferred so the room was very nice, clean, bathroom was big. View of the pool was great from second floor. Room service food was blah not anything to rave about. The night of our wedding there were rose petals all over the floor, bed, balcony, and bathtub very romantic. Some of our guest that were on the bottom floor the rooms smelled like mold really bad! This resort is our seventh all inclusive and I would say its at the bottom of the list, the only reason its getting three stars is because of my wedding and the very few nice staff members. Hope this review helps others to pick another resort
Our stay was a memorable one. My nieces wedding brought 17 family and friends to this wonderful resort to share the this special moment with her. Not only the wedding was wonderful but the service was great. The Carnival buffet wait staff were very friendly especially Wilkin and Fraudy who always went out his way to make our experience the best. Not to mention the cooks like Manuel who came to see that guests were satisfied with the food and always warm and friendly. The overall experience at this resort was great. Had a fantastic time!! Thanks for making it a special trip.
