Our Opinion

The Ocean Blue Punta Cana is a resort that makes up the Ocean Resort suites in the Punta Cana resort strip. Guests who stay in this resort are guaranteed to have a very pleasant stay. The staff are incredibly accommodating and attentive. Many of the staff members are genuinely concerned with the experience of your stay, and try their best to accommodate your needs. The buffet restaurants are always replenished and the food is always fresh. The a la carte restaurants are fairly good as well. However, the service tends to be a bit slower in these restaurants than others. Great little coffee shop that's available in the resort as well.

Surrounded by palm trees and tropical forest, this resort (in right side of photo) offers a gorgeous setting, extraordinary facilities and a great choice of restaurants for your dining experience. Located within the White Sand 18-hole Golf Course area, it is a perfect destination for avid golfers and ocean lovers, and also the first beach hotel to offer a bowling center! Ocean Blue promises vacations beyond expectations and invities you to discover sensational fun and excellent service at this intimate resort, where you can also take advantage of a VIP package.

Location: Directly on the beach, next to the LTI Beach Resort Punta Cana, 30 minutes from the airport.

Great family resort

We went to Punta Cana for the first time last week. A friend of ours recommended this resort. We had our travel agent book it. We had a fantastic time. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The food was always good. We didn't want to leave.

My first trip to Dominican Republic

I read so many reviews before leaving for my trip and I had mixed emotions. Please don't formulate any negative ideas from the reviews but be aware of what people list in the reviews. The reviews were helpful. I enjoyed this trip very much. It was a family vacation (my mother, sister and 18 year old daughter). Our room was a Jr. Suite facing the pool. Yes, it was loud at the pool but we weren't in our room during the day so that wasn't a problem. Pool party was every afternoon but other places in the pool you can enjoy if you don't want to be bothered by loud music. Most of the restaurants were great. Our favorite was the Japanese one (we went twice during our visit). The steak house is another favorite and so was the Blue Moon. Also got a hot drink before bed from Mikes Coffee. Didn't try the Mexican Restaurant as the items on the menu didn't sound appetizing. Yes, you need a reservation for the Japanese place. Get in line around 10:30 am to be ready when they open at 11 for reservations. Yes, depending on when you go to eat there may be a wait. Its okay, its vacation. The workers were very nice. I enjoyed seeing Joelle and Pedro at the various restaurants. Many of the workers work at several restaurants. I didn't have one encounter with the H10 people selling timeshares. The vendors were pushy but if I didn't want to look at an item, I told them no and moved on. My only disappointment was the beach. It had a lot of seaweed. I followed the advice of some of the reviews and walked to the right of the resort and the beach was a little better. During a dune buggy excursion we ended up at a beach and it was perfect. No seaweed, not heavily populated and absolutely beautiful. Our Sanoa Island tour was a bust because it rained an hour after we arrived. It didn't look as beautiful as the pictures. You can't blame the weather. I enjoyed the pool and would have liked to spend more time in the ocean. The resort grounds were well maintained and gorgeous. Our room was cleaned everyday we asked for it to be cleaned. We had an issue every day (7 days) with getting the number of towels for each guest in the room (4). We had to call the front desk often. I would love to visit this resort again but not being able to enjoy the ocean right outside the resort and needing to call the front desk to get towels everyday makes my overall rating a 3 instead of 5.

Great trip

Beach was nice, room was nice, pool was nice. Food was great they have themes, one night you get to walk through their kitchen as well.. entertainment was great. Lots to do. Staff was nice.. but the bar by the beach... every time you ask for a coffee this one waiter says "the machine is broken".. but when its someone else working.. its always working. Mikes coffee is awesome perk. Its like a starbucks at a resort all day long. Had a great time would go again. Only thing in dominican thats annoying is that you haveto use bottle water for everything including brushing your teeth, or else you can get real sick. I even stayed away from salads.. because its washed with tap water.. sucks because i love salad.

ocean blue and sand

Ocean Blue & Sand is a good place to visit, i had a wonderful time. The people here are very nice & friendly and on top of that they care about your well being. They care about if you're being treated correctly. I especially enjoyed the Pool Party that they had here, it was very fun. I also enjoyed the Dominican Show they had that showed the culture. What's also good is how housekeeping comes in to clean each day. All in all Ocean Blue is a good place to want to visit. wilfre, sarah , roberto , william , Elias , chocolate , Superman

The WORST Hotel

Dont spend your hard working money here! The staff lacks customer service skills and are not trained properly. We arrived 6/19/17 to a room with a broken shower head bar inside of the bathtub with a pillow case. The shower door and the bathtub and grout had mold. The air conditioning was not working properly, they tried to fix it and we got a little bit with the fan. Last 2 nights were horrible, housekeeping gave 2 towels 1 wash cloth for 2 adults and 2 kids. The last night no service was given to us! I called when I got back to my room (6pm) for service the housekeeper came and asked me with sarcasm do you need service? To keep my composure, I asked her to just give me towels. I went to front desk 3 separate times to get the issues resolved and nada was done! By the way I'm an Executive housekeeper who is understanding on a few things not going right, but this was ridiculous!
