Punta Cana Princess

A beautiful resort that is situated amongst one of the most beautiful backdrops in Punta Cana. The resort itself is incredible. It does a good job of creating an elegant ambiance with different elements. The beach area is nice and big. However, it's advised that you go to the beach early to reserve loungers, as it gets very busy throughout the day. Both buffet and a la carte food items are better than the type of fare you'd find in other resorts. The rooms are cleaned and well-maintained. Your mini-fridge will always be stocked and the attentive staff will always ensure that your concerns are met.
I visited Punta Cana Princess in May 2017 for my birthday with a friend. This was my first trip to Punta Cana and my first stay at an All Inclusive Adult resort. The value of services you receive for the price of the stay is excellent. I must say that I had an absolutely phenomenal time. The resort is small which provided a more familial feel. I met so many people from all over the world and I directly attribute that to the feeling the employees exude and the size of the resort. Although the resort is apparently older, the staff does an excellent job of keeping the buildings and grounds in great shape. The rooms are really spacious. Special thanks to Oscar, who checked in on me daily to ensure my room was well stocked and carefree. My only piece of feedback is that I wish there was an option for softer beds and fluffier pillows. The beds are really firm and the pillows are a bit on the flat side which I'm not accustomed to.The food was great and there was plenty of it. I mainly ate at the buffet which offered a great variety of options. I was a bit apprehensive about it being outdoors, thinking there would be an issue with bugs around the food. But surprisingly, I never had any issues with bugs in the buffet area, or anywhere on the resort for that matter. One of the nights was Seafood night at the Mare Nostrum... I nightly recommend the Seafood Paella...YUM!!!The beach area is absolutely gorgeous. There were plenty of beach beds and chairs available while I was there. The staff does a great job of keeping the seaweed and debris off the beach front as much as possible. Above all, the one thing that will stand out to anyone visiting Punta Cana Princess is the superb level of Customer Service!!! The employees at this resort work long days but you can clearly tell that they love what they do. They want everyone visiting to feel important and special while visiting. They always remembered me and my friend by name and greeted us with smiles and hugs. To me, regardless of any star rating of a resort or hotel, if their customer service sucks...nothing else matters. To name a few that I remember by name: Alexander at Guest Services was very informative about the area and went out his way to assist me when my transportation to the airport was a no show. Glennys, Carmen and Yasmin treated me like a queen knowing exactly what my friend and I wanted to drink when we arrived at the pool. And somehow, they always seemed to know when my cup was low and quickly offered a new drink. My friend and I still talk about the excellent time we had at Punta Cana Princess and believe me we are planning our next visit very soon! 💗
Pros: Resort grounds are kept immaculate. The employees will go out of their way to ensure your having a good time. Staff for the most part are all very friendly. We used vacation express and the entire trip went flawless with the help of their concierge service. Johnson was our excursion planner and he went above and beyond to take care of us. We missed a scheduled time because of a little miscommunication and Johnson took us to the excursion point in his personal vehicle. Sea weed was in bloom but the grounds keepers did their best every morning to ensure the beach front was as clean as possible. Louise and Franklin both did an outstanding job to ensure we were happy and taken care of. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach and a beach front bar. We took the Seaqaurium and the Saona Island excursions and they were both very cool and went smoothly as well. Cons: The biggest frustration was the front gift shop. The staff hover over you like buzzards the entire time. There was a group of 5 of us and each time one of us went to make a purchase they automatically marked the price up a dollar. So annoying to argue their clearly marked price tags and then for them to mumble remarks under their voice. Next was bathroom towels and rags in the room. Out of 3 rooms at least one of them would be out of rags or towels after the cleaning ladies left. Lastly, the air conditioners in the rooms struggle to keep up. I like for the room to be cool at night and the lowest the temp ever got was 77°F. One couple had to move from their upper floor room, because their room never got below 83°F.
Exactly what we wanted and the hotel, beach etc was as described. We got a great deal with Expedia ..so although I say 'budget prices', it was, but would give it 4 stars. Smaller resort but can use amenities in larger resort 5 minutes up the beach - ( hint, not worth getting the shuttle!). Loved the Creperie serving crepes and coffee in the other resort. Beach was great..lots of shade, no problem getting a spot. Food was as expected in all inclusive:Plenty, fresh, clean venues and choice of venues. A comment we had was everything was' nearly' or 'almost'. e.g. could only get steak medium or well done. Or, the banana in the banana split was ..not split..just a whole banana with ice-cream balls! Ordered a bottle of wine -extra price but only $15 for a decent bottle and far better than inclusive. Also learnt to order champagne - in inclusive price; great with juices and not too bad on its own! Room was great- bed was great, shower, jacuzzi tub and balcony.Evenings: entertainment was available: the only one we went to was the 60's-90's disco night near the beach. Great fun and worth going!Loved the fact it was adults only! NB The seaweed on the beaches is cleared daily. Excellent. It is NOT the hotel's fault. This is a Caribbean problem..affecting everywhere. I heard people complaining but the hotel can do no more than do what they are doing - clearing it daily. And it comes and goes and didn't affect swimming at all...beautiful clear water. Wonderful!
I'm going to do my very best to paint an awesome picture. The Punta Cana Princess All Suites Resort & Spa for Adults Only is an awesome vacation resort. This is my 3rd time visiting the Dominican Republic and our 2nd time staying at this resort. I was not disappointed at all. My husband and I stayed at the All-Inclusive resort for 9 days. Aside from the beautiful landscape, luxury suite, dining/drinking options and the most awesome beach in the Caribbean the absolute best experience was the staff. Alexander of Guest Services was absolutely amazing. We can thank him for making our stay here so enjoyable. I've been vacationing a long time and I've never experienced such an attentive, friendly and efficient staff of hard working men and women, from sun up to sun down. From the time we arrived, Renaldo treated us like we were family. Everything was prepared and in fine and decent orde. We received welcome drinks and our luggage was taken to our respective rooms so that we could immediately begin enjoying our vacation. Alexander stepped in and made sure that our room Was located directly across from the pool and beach. . During our stay were treated so well, every where we went, from our maid service to the beach. Everyone welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. I would like to mention that there was staff that went above and beyond the call of of duty. Excellente! The beach bartender, Grev. She kept the drinks coming, always friendly and accommodating, I will never forget their cheery disposition. In addition Luis, Jose, Rosie, Kenia , Luisa and Yasmin are an awesome team of waitstaff and entertainers who treated like their own family. We were greeted every day with beautiful smiles, hugs and their willingness to make us feel at home daily. The best feature was the Pescador resurant for the awesome seafood dinner. The Punta Cana Princess is lucky to have a great employee like Alexander, Guest Services. He has excellent resort administrator and hospitality specialist, with great customer service skills. I can't say enough. If you decide to book this resort tell Alexander Manny and Chrissandra Taylor said Hola!! You will not be disappointed.
This is a beautiful resort. The grounds are impeccably kept, the rooms are clean, the pool is refreshing, and the beach easily accessible. The staff was exceptional, friendly, and went out of their way to help with whatever was needed. Most staff spoke English to varying extents, but were understandable with little effort. The food was good and fresh, but understandably of an international flare. Picky eaters may struggle to find dishes suitable to their palates. We did not try the Swiss restaurant, but both the Tex-Mex and Italian restaurants were nice. However, of the 4 nights we were there, one or the other was closed on 3 of the nights. This resort is adults-only, but a free tram provides access to the sister resort nearby. The sister report is family friendly and provides additional restaurant options. The only complaint, and thus the reason for a 4 instead of 5 rating, was they put us in a Deluxe Suite when we booked (and paid) for a Honeymoon Suite. I was unable to get into the correct room until Day 2 of our trip, after effort and persistence with the front desk personnel.
