A beautiful resort that is situated amongst one of the most beautiful backdrops in Punta Cana. The resort itself is incredible. It does a good job of creating an elegant ambiance with different elements. The beach area is nice and big. However, it's advised that you go to the beach early to reserve loungers, as it gets very busy throughout the day. Both buffet and a la carte food items are better than the type of fare you'd find in other resorts. The rooms are cleaned and well-maintained. Your mini-fridge will always be stocked and the attentive staff will always ensure that your concerns are met.
This resort is very clean! I loved that it was an all adult resort. The service is amazing and the staff serve you with pleasure. There was never anyone looking for a handout, they truly wanted to help and make sure we were looked after. We went from Sunday to Sunday, 02-13 to 02-19, 2017, and the weather was great. It rained on us on Monday and the Sunday we left but other than that it was what we were looking for. The resort is just the right size. All of the rooms are close to the restaurants and the beach. The shops on site were reasonably priced as well. ($12 for t-shirts) The beach was breathtaking! All we could have asked for and there were always lots of beach chairs to use. The food was very good and the restaurants were great for variety and service. No dress code or reservation! Awesome. The shows in the lobby at night were really fun - Jose Alberto as Michael Jackson was nothing short of AMAZING! I wished I could have seen that show every night! My husband and I would definitely go back to this resort. Only one downfall for me was the amount of cigarette smoke - but that is no ones fault and it did not bother my husband. You could walk on the beach for miles (and we did) and the coastline is incredible. My husband and I agree that this resort has one of the nicest beaches on the coast.
We stayed from Feb 13 to Feb 19...lost a day due to airline issue! But the resort and its staff made us feel like we didn't! Treated us like kings. The room was clean and gorgeous. 3mins to beach. Pool and bars and entertainment was better than anywhere else ( our 4th time on DR). We want to recognize a few of the wonderful staff there: Grey...pool and beach bar...she is a hard worker and makes the best mojitos! Emmanuel...at the swim up bar..he is wonderful! Nelson swim up bar...you da man!...Entertainers...beautiful talented...Jose Alberto...Daniela..Rosy..Jasmin...Chocolina..and Joel. Food was delicious. Italian and Swiss Fondue were the best. Thank you to our friends at Punta Cana princess...see you next year! Xo
We travelled with a group of 6, two couples and two singles. When we first arrived the check in was fast and efficient. We were welcomed with the usual wet cloth (most appreciated ) and a nice drink. We were left to our own to find our rooms, not hard and all of our rooms were ready although they had to change one of them as they gave the singles a king bed instead of two beds, easy fix.The rooms are simple and not fancy but work and are clean. They had a sunken living room, nice touch. The bathroom does not have a door on it so if you are travelling with a friend be prepared for that. We also had a leak between the shower and toilet but managed with an extra towel. The balcony had a view of greenery, lobby and partial pool. (Balcony needs updating ). We also noticed that the room had a musty smell that we had to air out or just get used too.The pool was clean and lots of shade. The beach was beautiful ,the sand was clean and the water was not rocky. Again there is lots of shade. The bar service at the beach was not ideal, more self service, the guys were friendly but there was only one of them each day so you had to go to them, they did not come to you.The restaurants were very good and the snack bar is open 24 hours. The buffet changes themes each night.I cannot say enough about the staff at this resort. They enjoy working here and it shows. Of course everyone says hello but people come back to this resort over and over again and the people that work there remember you. We saw them greeting them by name, hugging them etc. It was nice. We saw the lobby waitresses dancing while taking your drink orders. It was truly nice to see people enjoying their jobs. The entertainment staff was there for extended periods of time always getting people involved. I do feel that they need some new material but they get an A for effort.Unfortunately two people in our party got injured on an excursion booked through Sunwing, although the hotel and guest services went out of there way for them I personally feel that Nexus who is supposed to be our rep while there just washed his hands of the matter and told us to deal with Sunwing when we got back home.Things I did not like and I think the staff could go change. People save the lounge chairs at the beach and pool early in the morning (by putting a towel or book) and often do not come back for hours. I do not think this is right. If you want to save a chair and go to breakfast, no problem but if your lounge chair is empty for more than 1/2 hour then someone else should be able to use it.Also the process to get into Punta Cana, this is terrible. We had a 915 am flight and by the time we finished going through all of the line ups and paying to get into the country and waiting for the bus. We did not get into our room until 5pm. Punta Cana time.Last thing be prepared for many vendors on the beach, they come around all day over and over.
We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel and fell IN LOVE! We have been to many all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and this one was the only one that felt like we actually left with family being the staff. The staff are SO friendly. Our favorites being Kenia, Yosaira, Jasmine, Luisa, Frandely, Ramon, Gray, and Jose at the beach. Everyone is super friendly, attentive, and catering to your needs. I was so surprised when they actually asked our names because obviously there are so many other people they see every day! The room we stayed in had great cleanliness and the staff was intent on keeping it that way. We had 4 people in one room (2 couples) which I wouldn't recommend on 2 twin beds if you want to sleep comfortably with your partner. There was, however, a couch with a pull out that was available, but this was our mistake for not being aware of the size of the beds! We had VIP bracelets which are a must. We got access to all of the beds on the beach that were so comfortable. We constantly had security guards patrolling the area trying to keep the vendors away which was so nice! The food selection was really good overall accompanied by restaurants with separate buildings indicative of the type/style of food they served. SO CUTE! Food 24/7. It was great that you could get quality food at any point in the day. There was a store on the resort that contained almost anything you should need. There was also a currency exchange counter at the sister princess hotel in the lobby which is just a trolley ride away. The most awesome part of this resort is it was at max capacity and you never felt crowded. Ordinarily, we have to wake up super early to even obtain a seat near the pool or beach, saved by either a towel or bag, but this resort was very different. You didn't have to do that and there was still availability. Same goes for the restaurants. We were never told to pick somewhere else because the restaurant was full. The pool was amazing kept immaculately and was extremely spacious. The only negatives I would say about this resort is that the entertainment staff were rude (which you don't have to participate in their events) and that we kept calling the front desk to obtain our complementary bottle of rum and cigars and it was almost impossible to get them to deliver those. Also, my boyfriend participated in one of the entertainment staff's Mr. Punta Cana contests and they asked him to remove his shorts to dress for this. Consequently, he had $40 stolen from the staff that housed his clothing while he was participating in this so watch out! Overall, with everything we have learned though, we would love to return to this particular resort!
I'll keep this short...in no particular order...Overall: worthy of 4 stars (maybe 3.5?), staff are wonderful, beach is lovely. Just missing a few of the 'extras' you would enjoy at a 5 star.Restaraunts: food was reasonable. Coffee: meh...needs some attention...more than a single machine.Smoking: felt like it was everywhere...surprising to see how many smokers were at the resort. There are very few 'designated' non-smoking areas.Beach: fabulous, with great water.Staff: very responsive, very friendly.Drinks: quality, bottomless of course.Upkeep: could us a refresh, but not bad.Summary: good value for the price paid. You'll have a wonderful time, just don't compare it to your last vacation at a 5 star.
