Our Opinion

A beautiful resort that is situated amongst one of the most beautiful backdrops in Punta Cana. The resort itself is incredible. It does a good job of creating an elegant ambiance with different elements. The beach area is nice and big. However, it's advised that you go to the beach early to reserve loungers, as it gets very busy throughout the day. Both buffet and a la carte food items are better than the type of fare you'd find in other resorts. The rooms are cleaned and well-maintained. Your mini-fridge will always be stocked and the attentive staff will always ensure that your concerns are met.

The Punta Cana Princess offers 24 hour all-inclusive adults-only service. One of the only resorts featuring butler service for drinks, while you unwind, basking and relaxing on beautiful Bavaro Beach. Guests of the Punta Cana Princess will appreciate complimentary shuttle service to and from sister resorts, plus full exchange privileges at the Caribe Club Princess & Tropical Princess. Double the pleasure to explore and experience!

Location: Directly on the beach, 20 minutes from the airport.

Good service and nice staff

Me and my partner we stayed in Punta Cana Princess from 18th to 25th of September, exactly the time when Hurricane Maria approached Dominican Republic. We appreciated that the management took all the needed measures to keep us safe and informed about the situation during our staying. The staff is helpful and kind, the food was delicious and fresh, the room was very clean, the lobby and the garden are beautiful and we totally enjoyed being there even if we went durring hurricane period.

Quiet, smaller resort that we will return to!

We just arrived back from Punta Cana Princess All Suites Resort & Spa Adults Only Jan 12 2018We absolutely loved it!!My husband and I travel once or twice yearly for the south for many years. With every resort there is always something that is not favorable but we came knowing that some had complaints with this resort but as usual we have sift through the people who just never seem to be happy either way. Please do not hesitate trying this resort! We tend to spend most of our days on the beach. Pros-Front desk was great especially Jewilmi he was super friendly -Amellio in the Bar in the main lobby was fun with his MUUUAAHHH! And he can sing!!!! -Stay in one resort and have access to 3! Trolleys take you easily every few min between resorts or it’s any easy walk with lots to see, a kind of a jungle (for lack of a better word). All resorts are new and different (very safe)-The food was amazing every meal at every restaurant, the only one we did not try was the steak house. We did speak to others who did and said it was very good. Buffet was huge with lots and lots to choose! Service everywhere was very very good. It was an enjoyable experience. What we loved at this resort was “no booking” at any restaurants. At the other 2 resorts you booked one day in advance. -Adults only was SO nice and quiet, our first Adults only, not our last. -Pool entertainment was fun they had you laughing at all the antics and fun games. One day they filled the pool with a cannon that was shooting bubbles….and they say adults don’t have fun!-Entertainers and organizers of games were so nice (Jasmine in entertainment was so fun!!)…(Jose in excursions was very helpful with his suggestion of Bombita!! ;-) )...either at poolside or beach, asking but never pushing people to play we played mini golf (sort of like putting on beach), Frisbee toss (knocking water bottles off a table, horse shoes, darts, volleyball off the top of my head we won twice which they gave us a Rum bottle each time. So worth it for sure and a nice way to kind of mingle. -Beach is white sand, water is warm. Waves are kind of big but fun. Go just a bit out and it it’s better. No rocks! Or seaweed on sea floor!-Directly in front of OUR resort was the parasailing it was really cool watching them go constantly, 3 were going all the time, also there were glass bottom boats and the odd party boat. It was not boring on the beach to say the least!-Rooms were very nice we were in building 5 which was closest to the beach. We stayed in room 5110 second floor which all the rooms face toward the pool with a small view of the beach (we paid extra for ocean view so not really worth it). It is a Very Short walk anywhere. I am sitting on the beach writing this and I have wifi connection from my room even :)-Wifi is free in the lobby but don’t try to load pics with it, way too slow. Pay for wifi and it’s fairly fast and works at the pool, your room as well as lobby. Worth the dollars unless you just check into fb and check emails, free would then be fine. Cons- Seaweed was there our entire stay with maybe a couple days clear. The hotel has no control over this but something to know about possibly? I guess depending on time of year.We just stepped over it. We will not blame the hotel for this; it’s not really much of a problem. They constantly worked at clearing our beach but what a job. Lol The workers don’t work very fast there. -Entertainment at night was lip singing and dancing which was ok but not like other resorts we have been to but this was not a deal breaker for us. The entertainers from all day activities were the same people to put on in the evenings show. They work very hard these people I will give them credit for that!-Beach Sellers! This we hate!!! Definitely a big Con(for me), almost every couple min they go by selling jewelry, sunglasses, bathing suits, pictures with monkey or parrots, statues and excursions. If you say “no” they pass by no problem without bothering you, but come On! Really?? Could be half the number that do this tuff job and it would still be lots! Many are repeats of the same thing. My guess as they are employees of the hotel. This could be improved for sure. This was likely the most we have ever been bugged at a resort.

Worst Trip Ever

Myself and my husband stayed Jan 5-11th. Left a day early we were so sick.1. Bed was as hard as a rock, I actually had sore hips from sleeping on it.2. We took pillows off the couch as the ones on the bed were so hard.3. The linens on the bed were rough & some had stains. 4. Toilet door that will not close as it scrapes across the floor tiles 5. The bathroom is completely open to the rest of the room.6. Lack of loungers by the pool. Unless you arrived at 7 am to save a spot for yourself... good luck on having anywhere to sit7. The store staff were very rude, they actually stood a foot away from you and watched you shop.8. We were told that the restaurant by the ocean was open 24/7 with the same buffet style food but very slim pickings after lunch.9. There are hawkers. Everywhere. Always. On the beach, there will always be someone trying to sell you something, this, although annoying, is something to be expected. What is inexcusable is that after sunset, the hotel allows these stands to be set up in the hotel complex - thus, you cannot get from your room to dinner or the main lobby or anywhere without being pestered to buy something from your new "amigo". To say this is annoying would be the understatement of the review - after a week of this, you'll either find yourself rudely dismissing people or desperately finding an alternate route.10. The shower flooded the entire bathroom. There was no gap/step between the shower and the bathroom floor. If you opened the door without physically pushing the water down the drain for 5 minutes after you shower with your foot, all of your dirty water will flood out into the bathroom. 11. The phone in the room rang randomly, when we answered it, there was no one there. This happened on more than 1 occasion.12. The resort had a rotten egg/sewage smell. 13. The lobby is in desperate need of updating, particularly the furniture. All the cushions are stained, sunken-in & beat up.14. The free wifi in the lobby is very poor and slow15. There were ceiling leaks in the bathroom. We had to keep 2 towels on the floor at all times. The card for “comments” was still in the room from the prior occupants complaining about it.16. The VERY WORST though, was becoming violently ill. Both my husband and myself had to visit the resort doctor, (rather expensive). We have been home for 3 days now and still not at 100%.17. I would never stay here not recommend it. Worst trip we have ever had.

Birthday Girls Trip In the SUN!

My stay at the Punta Cana Princess was by far my best experience on an all-inclusive resort so far. I've stayed in the usuals Cuba, Mexico and have done some cruising. I think it's important to note I went with one of my girlfriends and I'm in my late 30's, so this review is from someone who likes a little rowdy/party sometimes. The crowd on this resort is definitely older and everyone was pretty much in bed or in their rooms at night early (for us anyway), however I really loved the fact that you have access to Caribe next door. It was nice to have the choice to be in a more peaceful relaxing environment at Princess or if we wanted it a little rowdy, take the cart over next door. The shuttle runs frequent and at all hours so it was easy to go out at night (sometimes off the resort) and still have people/shuttle running. NIGHT LIFERS: There is the theatre and disco at Caribe and off the resort is a casino, some clubs and bars very close by. You can pay to coco bongo, but I honestly didn't feel the need and wanted more of the Dominican vibes not a bunch of people from the resort. Also when you come back to the resort and need that late night snack the bar by the beach is open and have a menu of food (chicken & fries) to take back to your room. Loved it! FOOD: Honestly, I've seen some of the reviews about the food not being good and I AM SHOCKED!! For me, that was one of the highlights. The chicken had to be marinated in seasoning cause it was honestly flavourful to the bone. The soup also was great and made fresh. I would say my least favourite was breakfast and dessert. If anything they need some work. Lunch and Dinner, we had great selection at the buffet. We tried the Italian and Steakhouse a la carte. Both were extra tasty! Another PLUS for this resort is that you do not have to book a la carte's in advance which is great cause you can decide if the buffet does not tickle your fancy, just head to the a la carte. Also, we seen an inspector going around and checking to see if the food was prepared properly and dishes were clean. I've NEVER seen this at a hotel and appreciated them taking the initiative to keep up their standards.BEACH: My friend and I liked things a bit more rowdy in this area, so I think we only spent 1 day at the Princess beach. It was quiet and chairs were a bit hard to find since we always got there late. For a beach with more people our age and a bit more rowdy (rowdy = music playing, kids running around, mixed crowd) we headed to Caribe. ROOMS: I loved the set up of the rooms. Definitely more modern than I've seen however there were some issues if I'm being picky, but overall rooms were great! So the way the showers were designed, sometimes water leaks out the bottom into the bathroom. We always had to put towels down to soak up the extra water, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Also the lighting was a bit dim, so when we were in the bathroom trying to get ready and put our makeup on it was a bit hard to see. So for the ladies, maybe bring a portable make up mirror or light (haha!). Otherwise, rooms were clean and I loved that we arrived to a bottle of rum, cigars, slippers and bathrobes in our room.SERVICE: Big up to the animation teams who have to entertain our behinds 24/7 ensuring we have a good time. Shout out to Jose for my Spanish lessons and always checked in with us to make sure we were good. The servers in the buffet were also amazing and friendly around the clock. Shout out to Carlo who gave me an extra special birthday dinner and decorated my table and made sure everyone came over and sang to me. If you take the time to get to know the people that work day in and out, it's the most special thing you can take with you. No they may not speak English well, but they try and that's really all you can ask for.OVERALL: I would say this is a 4.5 star hotel and the biggest plus are the options available. You can choose the tempo of quiet or loud, fast or slow, buffet or a la carte, beach or pool. I have continued to recommend this hotel since I got back from our trip. I would DEFINITELY go back to this resort!!

Total R&R!

If you are looking for a totally relaxing vacation - this is it! This Adults Only resort is very quiet and laid back - there are only 256 rooms, thus you will definitely avoid the crowds, but also the action that comes with the mega resorts. After a few days of R&R, we visited sister resort next door and it was chaos with a ton of kids - great decision on our part! The best thing about this resort is the staff. Everyone is friendly, happy and ready to help. Most reviews rave about Grey and she is great, but there are so many other staff that are fantastic at PCP. During our week stay, both Maria and Glennis were outstanding! Both were friendly, remembered our names (and drinks) and were fun to be around. A special thanks to Alexander, the concierge. We were celebrating a mile stone birthday and Alexander made arrangements with the team to have a special table at dinner and our room decorated complete with a bottle of champagne! Alexander was also incredible when it came to setting up cigar / rum tour, dinners at sister resort and tours to avoid - a good guy to get to know!We found the buffet at resort to be very good with special themed evenings - our favourite was the Dominican themed dinner and an amazing New Years Eve Seafood gala. While you do not need to make reservations at ala carte restaurants, we did not enjoy them. We ate at the Mediterranean and Italian, but we did not try the Fondue restaurant. We had access to sister resort and made a reservation at the Dominican specialty restaurant on advise from Alexander, which was one of our best dining experiences of our trip.Try to avoid the resort store and bring necessities such as sunscreen from home. Do not buy a lighter from store - I bought one for USD$3 and ran out of fuel next day after lighting a few cigars. Staff refused to give me another one - said that fuel only lasts for 4 hours! The rooms - all suites - were very good at resort, not 5*, but clean. We did experience a leak in our bathroom and it was quickly fixed. It is a short walk to fantastic beach with options of daybeds, loungers or palapas. Many reviews complain about seaweed and vendors. Yes - every morning seaweed would wash up on beach, but the hotel staff had a team removing seaweed, which was gone by mid morning. We found the vendors on beach to be much less aggressive and lower in count than they are in Mexico - most are for excursions and cigars. We did not run into any time share vendors.
