Our Opinion

A beautiful resort that is situated amongst one of the most beautiful backdrops in Punta Cana. The resort itself is incredible. It does a good job of creating an elegant ambiance with different elements. The beach area is nice and big. However, it's advised that you go to the beach early to reserve loungers, as it gets very busy throughout the day. Both buffet and a la carte food items are better than the type of fare you'd find in other resorts. The rooms are cleaned and well-maintained. Your mini-fridge will always be stocked and the attentive staff will always ensure that your concerns are met.

The Punta Cana Princess offers 24 hour all-inclusive adults-only service. One of the only resorts featuring butler service for drinks, while you unwind, basking and relaxing on beautiful Bavaro Beach. Guests of the Punta Cana Princess will appreciate complimentary shuttle service to and from sister resorts, plus full exchange privileges at the Caribe Club Princess & Tropical Princess. Double the pleasure to explore and experience!

Adults only resort

Excellent resort! Highly recommend it to anyone. Small resort, terrific staff. Rasa is an absolute delight. She greets you every time with a smile and usually singing when you come into the buffet to eat.

Small adult resort with incredible service

I returned home after spending 2 weeks with my girlfriend at the Punta Cana Princess on April 23rd. I have travelled extensively in all inclusive resorts through out the caribbean and was very impressed with the quality of the staff at this resort. The resort is small, right on the beach and is geared towards a mix of older clientele and couples. Mind you, a single person not looking for a heavy social atmosphere will find the resort very relaxing. Everything is within a 5 minute walk, whether it be the beach, lobby, restaurants etc. If you have a mobility issue this is the place for you.The good points:One of the best buffets I have ever witnessed. The fact that there area low number of guests at the resort means the food is prepared daily, very fresh and refined. The executive chef does a great job with his varied theme nights and menus. Never any line ups anywhere! Want to go to the bar? no line up, want to go to any restaurant? no line up, want to go to the front desk? no line up. Fantastic accessibility everywhere..You don't have to reserve at the "a la carte restaurants" Just walk in and get served. (decent food and once again great service) Our favorite was the sea food resto on the beach.Because the resort is small, the staff get to know you. They deliver very friendly and attentive services. You meet the managers, the servers, etc.. Incredible service.A beautiful white sand and accessible beach with plenty of shade. You can walk for miles.If you are looking to get out of the resort and visit, you are allowed to visit the 2 other sister resorts just down the road. There is a little train that comes along every 15 minutes. You can also reserve at their restaurants also.The not so great points:The rooms are nice but lack lighting in the bathroom for the ladies while doing their makeup. It is also very dark in the closet area and tough to see anything. Closet space is very limited with no dresser drawers and limited hangers. For people staying for 2 weeks they will have to put piles of clothes all over the room. (bring a portable LED light and some extra hangers) Premium alcohol is very limited. Lots of basic local brands available. Don't have any great expectations as to alcohol selections if you are fussy about this aspect. Forget about brandy or cognac...Never saw one Irish coffee...Whatever....The evening entertainment is very marginal and the seating in the lobby is very limited. They bring out wooden folding chairs during the shows (If you can call them "shows") and they are not very comfortable. They need to work on the seating in the lobby as the older sofas etc. are worn out. To conclude: I would certainly go back to this resort. It is a quiet place with no kids, geared towards an older clientele that are beach lovers. The pool is OK, the food is great and the staff are fantastic.

Lovely Resort, Horrific Food

A very large party of 52 guests stayed at this resort for a family wedding. Although the resort, the grounds, the beach and pool are fantastic, this resort really needs to do something about their food handling procedures. A number of our party suffered from food poisoning.Not a pleasant experienceMy daughter in law spent two and a half days in the hospital with a severe gastro intestinal infection. She is a world traveller and has never experienced anything like this before. Both myself and another family member came home still suffering with terrible stomach pains. Another member of our party was hospitalized with double pneumonia. My guess is his room had dirty duct work and he had possible mold and bacteria blowing on him from the air conditioner. All the rooms I visited had an odour like mold or must in them. This Man is normally fit and healthy, a non smoker and he was so sick that the hospital kept him for 3 days. It must be said, that I seldom give a negative review, but this time, I had to speak up. If you go to this resort, be very careful of the food. The seafood restaurant was horrific, out of our party of 5, we all ate our salads, they were quite good. The remainder of our meal was so bad, we pushed our plates away barely touched. My sister went to the Steakhouse and she told me that they could not eat their meal. They pushed their appetizer away, she said it looked like slop on the plate and they were afraid to eat it. Their steaks were equally unappetizing and their desserts were horrible. We did try the Asian fusion restaurant and had a good meal there.The lobby buffet offers a huge array of choices, but I noticed many items not on ice. The cheese at the omelette station was rancid and I had to spit it out. A number of items were fine, but caution is needed. The maid service at this resort left a lot to be desired, even though I left a substantial tip on the first day, and left another on the 3rd and 5th days, I was without towels on two occasions and my fridge was not stocked and I never saw my maid. Disappointing. Be very careful with the food at this resort. The hospital experiences and gastric upsets cost of 3 days of our vacation. I would not recommend this resort if you are expecting a decent dining experience. .

2 Week Escape to Beautiful Resort with Superior Staff

Travelled April 2 to 16, 2017, 2 couples. Small adult only resort with by far the most incredible staff. Checkin was quick and our request to be on an upper floor close to to one another was accommodated. Rooms: We lucked into having rooms on opposite sides of the building so we were able to take advantage of the sun on the deck in the late afternoon or not. Rooms were well appointed and cleaned thoroughly throughout our stay. Turn down service and the replacing of beach towels for clean ones in the evening was a welcome bonus. The restocking of the mini fridge was done daily. The resort is smaller so all room locations were conveniently located.Food: The food options at this resort are by far superior. We went to 2 restaurants Tex Mex and Italian and experienced wonderful food and service, however the buffet options were extensive with a different theme nightly and therefore spent the majority of our meals there. I would like to mention the following staff: Carlos (keep on smiling and keep up the good work with your schooling), Jose Antonio, Patrick, Juan, Raul, Raysa and Ramona. We did not frequent the buffet at the beach very often as we found this to be very congested during the day. Beach. The beach here is wonderful. While we were VIP eligible we chose to not use this section as the bali beds are in need of some TLC and therefore did not appeal to us. In my opinion this section would best suited to being converted to Cabanas or at the very least replacing the mattresses on the bali beds. Jose the bartender was always with a smile and of course Felix who kept the beach in order throughout our stay. The resort management did address the saving of beach chairs during our stay by having security remove towels/personal belongings if there was no one on the chairs. The things removed were taken to the animation desk at the beach for pick up by guests. This did cause a little uproar by some the first few days but I think most welcome this type of management. This did affect guests who normally get a spot and try to have breakfast before returning to the beach for the day as someone had to remain with the belongings to avoid removal. We didn't take part in any of the animation organized activities. We found these to be geared to the younger generation and we were happy to just relax and watch. Lobby: The staff in the lobby at the desk were very helpful, checkin/checkout, exchange of money etc. There is a bar located here and the service and drinks were good, although table service was not always available. We didn't spend a lot of our time in the lobby but would have appreciated some entertainment in the evening such as piano player/singer/musician. There is an animation team initiated show but it wasn't until 9:00/9:30 and prior to that the lobby lacked entertainment. We did attend the Michael Jackson show at the Caribe but left before it ended. The Caribe however did have someone singing in their lobby which was pleasant.We did have our representative arrange for Don Lucas cigars factory to come and pick us up for a tour/shopping excursion to their facility. This was a free option and found it to be a pleasant outing.Our experience with staff is the best yet in the 17 years of travel on this type of vacation. We would return to this resort.

GOOD but could be BEST

Stayed at the PCP first week of April... we were a group of 10 ( and had the infamous "Sexy Papa" in our group)i usually dont do reviews as I find them subjective to ones personality and what is right for one person may not be right for another,but over the last 30 yrs I have stayed at many resorts and mostly in Punta Cana areathis resort is wonderful, however it has one major issuelets start with the wonderfulThe staff were great at every level, smiling and helpful rooms very nice layout, clean, with nice sitting area ( bathroom is small, I would recommend removing the spa tubs and enlarging the shower toilet area)food was very tasteful, and what was to be hot was hot and what was to be cold was cold (however we were disappointed with the fondue never being open, tried 3 times to go and was always closed, a schedule for this would have been great)Beach is amazing, sitting area is somewhat crowded but it worksPool was clean and always activities going onevening entertainment is typical AI entertainment, Now the BAD and why 10 of us will never return:::The alcohol selection (Tremlo) is maybe fine with a sugary slushie drink....however something like a gin and tonic, rum and coke ect its horridI can not understand why management would downgrade such a wonderful property with such a terrible choicewe didnt let this spoil our trip by any meansi hope it saves them lots of money, as they now have 10 guests that will not return if the selection stays the same,any questions send me message on tripadvisor :)
