Our Opinion

The Reserve at the Punta Cana Resort is the perfect destination for both families and couples. The resort is amazing with its staff. They are incredibly attentive and ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The nightly shows that are held daily are pleasantly entertaining. The beach and pool area are gorgeous. Make sure that you check out the spot specifically meant for Reserve guests. There is a special spot for these guests, where there are plenty of loungers. Good options to choose from with regards to the buffet and a la carte food choices.

Better For couple

The hotel and amminity are vere similar to the level at melia . The only thing different to me is the customer service is super excellent. The quality of service and drink you can get there the pool area with bed. And they bring you bottles of champagne right where you at in the pool area or most anywhere . I love the customer service the room are nice like i say very similar to level melia room. But if you are looking fir a great quiet time not crazy this one place

Our Butler service was spectacular!

The room was immaculate with 24/7 room service and a very dedicated butler. If you have the option to choose I would highly recommend Francis who treated us amazingly and provided countless services throughout our stay.

Some Good....Some Bad

First of all...this resort is absolutely beautiful. The pools are great huge, and the grounds and pathways are manicured to perfection. Room are wonderful. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a master bedroom w/ sitting large sitting area, a bedroom with twin bed and a large living room in between. Both rooms had balconies overlooking the pool. We were on the third floor...there are no elevators.Maria at Gabi's is wonderful and WIlson at the Gabi Grill is the best !!!The service is sub-par in many places....they take your drink order at meals, but the drink sometimes never comes! I fell and ended up in the emergency room. The doctor at the resort was great, but no one from the staff or management ever came up to me when I fell, nor checked up on me afterward (and yes, they did see me fall.)IF you don't stay in the concierge suites you will probably not get reservations for dinner in any of the restaurants. Palapas at the beach and by the pools are reserved, but if not occupied by 10AM they are up for grabs.Bottom line is the grounds are beautiful, food is OK, service not great. We were a large family group of 16 so we had a great time being together, but I don't think we would return. Make sure you double and triple check your reservations....part of our group ended up at another hotel (Paradisus Palma Real) which was the fault of their central booking department. They were moved back with us after 2 days, but what a hassle....felt like we lost 2 days of our family reunion.

Too many little annoyances

We have been members of the Melia for over 10 years. I must say this trip was frustrating. Upon arrival we had one concierge, Junior who was amazing. Then he was off for 3 days. That's when all the problems began. Our first morning we were awoken at 6:45 AM by the ambient music the hotel plays. REALLY!!!! Dinner reservations were a nightmare! with two young kids we repeatedly asked for early dinner since they would fall asleep at the table otherwise. The two people who helped us in our lobby kept reassuring us that it would be taken care of by the next day, but of course it wasn't. There is a serious lack of communication between employees. Tammy and Junior were the only ones who were helpful. Anjelina Rosario in the Gabi was amazing. She remembered our names, took care of us and was very attentive. Eventually with all the frustrations I spoke with the manager Silvio. He was quite helpful. He arranged for us to have early dinners and compensated us with a visit to the spa for all the problems. But of course the cherry on top is the sales people that don't leave you alone! We are already members, LEAVE US ALONE!!!! Drinks were ok, could have been better. One night they accidentally put alcohol in my son's virgin Pina Colada! Thank God he was honest about it. I wouldn't go back there.

Excellent.

My family really enjoyed all of the activities and service that this hotel provides. We also enjoyed the food and entertainment. Carlos Rosado is an excellent staff member that aided us in our endeavors and made us feel most comfortable. He also made sure that we had an unforgettable experience.
