The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Reserve at the Punta Cana Resort is the perfect destination for both families and couples. The resort is amazing with its staff. They are incredibly attentive and ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The nightly shows that are held daily are pleasantly entertaining. The beach and pool area are gorgeous. Make sure that you check out the spot specifically meant for Reserve guests. There is a special spot for these guests, where there are plenty of loungers. Good options to choose from with regards to the buffet and a la carte food choices.
As I think back over the amazing 5 days my husband and I had at the Paradisus Reserve in Punta Cana, I know that I owe so much of the great relaxing time to Junior Segura. From the moment we checked in and he introduced himself, he took care of All our needs. From dinner plans to Cabanas on the beach.-Always questioning us if there was anything we needed? He remembered everything that we liked. Our mini fridge was stocked every day. I am a big coffee drinker. The first morning I requested more coffee packets (love my morning coffee first thing) So then, Each morning, our coffee bar was stocked with plenty of coffee and the bottles of water to go with it.The second day I mentioned to Junior that I love my beer ice cold, from then on every afternoon, an ice cold bucket of beer was waiting for us in our room. He just made us feel spoiled. I must agree with the previous reviewers, Wilson Guzman and Luis Pena at the Grille made the days fun. It sort of became our hangout. –And Once again Wilson learned right away what my husband and I liked and would bring our drinks as soon as we sat down without our asking. He was very friendly and it was fun getting to know him. We found we really liked the food at The Grille so We ate there every lunchtime including our farewell meal before we sadly had to leave to come home.Chef Luis was so proud of his area and always served us with a big smile on his face. …..and finally Jancy Castillo, our server at the Buffet that made me laugh and taught us our daily Spanish words.*****GoodtimesThank you Junior, Wilson, Luis and Jancy. We cannot wait to return,Melinda
Let's get this out of the way first. The weather in PC is PERFECT. It was in the Check in was fine. The lobby is nice, clean, has some snacks, water and a Nespresso machine (which I ended up using every morning until the last two days because they ran out of Nespresso pods.)Honestly, the front desk staff was friendly, but really didn't care about being helpful or efficient. The hotel is LOUD. It's just the set up of the place. All rooms face an open-air atrium and noise bounces all over the place. We were next to a screaming baby for two nights too, and there was really no motivation to move us. We were staying on the Reserve side and were willing to be "downgraded" to the regular side in order to move as well. I had to get kind of spicy in order to get things done. (I was pretty cranky after two nights of no sleep. Sorry.)Note that the Reserve side is also the family/kid side. If you want a quieter vacation, don't book over there. The bartenders and wait staff at the main Reserve buffet area were phenomal. So friendly and so attentive. They remembered us and even knew what drinks we liked (and we had a huge group.) The buffet food was fine. Not great but not bad. The food from the Reserve Pool grill was the best on the resort! Again, the chefs there were fantastic. The pizza, burgers, nachos, etc. were all freshly made and delicious. I wished that grill was open more hours than it was. We were there during the Super Bowl, and their set up and tailgating food for the night was great too!Do not believe they have 24-hr room service. If we did actually get through, service WAS quick to get to our room. However, more often than not, you couldn't actually reach room service. No one answered the phone. Then, we tried the front desk and told them about it, and were again received with no hint of motivation to get anything done. On times we did get through, they were usually out of everything we asked for on the menu. (And honestly, we are not picky eaters so we were flexible, but they literally had no food left.) The main pool snack bar/lunch place was honestly horrible and unsafe. Food was cold and the burgers were raw. Not like rare...raw. It was also the only option at around 1:00 that day because 2 of the lunch restaurants were closed. I think this goes back to the understaffed problem. Main bar and beach bars were both busy so it took a bit to get drinks, but the bartenders were trying their hardest and drinks were good.We were there for a wedding, and I have to say that the wedding setup was beautiful on that pristine beach! The wedding meal was also the best we had by far, set up in a little area just off from the restaurants. We had freshly grilled seafood and meats, and all the sides I tried were great. We lost power for about 20 minutes during the dance. I kind of felt like they would try to make up for that...but they didn't.We had one guy, by himself, get jumped at the casino right off the resort, and lots of money taken from him (which, logically, he shouldn't have had on him.) The whole story ended up involving corrupt police and was pretty scary. If you are going out on the town, stay in a group and don't be naive. Don't carry a lot of cash. Don't buy anything on the street you wouldn't normally do where you live. (We did go out one night and the street food was AMAZING! Staff at bars and restaurants and locals were also so nice.) We also had theft on the resort with things taken from rooms, that magically appeared in a room safe a few hours after being reported. There was some story about security having gone into the room earlier and moving the items into the same. Um...why would security just randomly go into someone's room and move things to a safe. I have never, ever heard of something like that before. All in all, I want to say that this was one of the best vacations I've ever been on because of the people who were surrounding me. We never let any of the downfalls ruin our good time. My stomach hurt from laughing! I wouldn't go back to this particular resort, but I can't wait to give PC another try.
I was there shooting a wedding again, 2nd visit. Just simply amazing. I cannot find fault with this hotel at all and it is worth every penny in my opinion as a pretty well traveled destination wedding photographer. Rooms are spacious, some open out straight into the pool, food is amazing, fresh squeezed orange juice, amazing steaks I just don't know what more to say.Would I spend my own money to go to this hotel? Absolutely 100%
This resort was so excellent. It was an amazing experience for the family and I. Everybody who works there is so warm hearted and kind. They're always so helpful and they are all such amazing people who i miss dearly. There was always so many things to do at the resort. The food, the service, and especially the beaches are great. Also became really good friends with people at the resort. @LuisFlorian
We love talking to Raynold Tamayo, he's such a fun person and he always makes it a fun time. He's such a good person! And Nicole Coradim is such a kind person, she's so funny and a joy to be around, and amazing dancer and nice person!
