The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
The Reserve at the Punta Cana Resort is the perfect destination for both families and couples. The resort is amazing with its staff. They are incredibly attentive and ensure that you're getting the most out of your stay. The nightly shows that are held daily are pleasantly entertaining. The beach and pool area are gorgeous. Make sure that you check out the spot specifically meant for Reserve guests. There is a special spot for these guests, where there are plenty of loungers. Good options to choose from with regards to the buffet and a la carte food choices.
We had a wonderful time at The Reserve Paradisus Punta Cana with my family. We stayed this time at the Family Consierge building and it was magnificent, our consierge was Yarol Rijo and definitely we would like to come back for for the way we got treated. Always nice and had everyday a little gift for the kids and they make us feel like at home .Jonathan Medina from the pool at the Reserve was also kind and helpful and always trying to accommodate our needs when ever we were there. No way that we could have ask for more . Kids zone was definitely the favorite place for the kids, they had a blast
Hurricane Irma hit the Dominican Republic during our vacation, but I would like to compliment the management team along with "ALL" the workers of the resort. The entire staff was prepared and handled the situation extremely well, which helped reduce the worry for us during this trying time. Great Job!!!Jhonatan Medina, and Wandel did a fantastic job during our stay making sure we were always taken care of throughout our stay. Very friendly and accommodating, so thank you very much for making our vacation an "Awesome Experience".
My wife, two children (ages 4 and 9) and I stayed in a family concierge suite near the end of August. Our family concierge, Sofia Paternina, was absolutely fantastic! As a matter of fact, we can't say enough nice things about her. She helped take care of setting up everything (food reservations, cabana reservations, golf reservations/transfers, transfers back to the airport, etc) and was always available for assistance, information or advice. On certain days throughout our stay, Sofia would leave special treats for our children. One day it was a pair of robes and slippers with coloring books, crayons, children's soap, toothpaste and tooth brushes, another day it was a bubble bath full of balloons. You never knew what you would find when you came back from the beach or pool in the afternoon. Our suite was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the pool. The pool opened around 9 or 10am and closed around 7pm, so noise was never an issue. The suite had one room with a small kitchen area, dining table, and living room area with fold out couch and a TV. A second room was the bedroom with a king size bed and TV. Both rooms opened to a balcony overlooking the pool. The bathroom consisted of two rooms. One large room with a jacuzzi tub, two sinks and closet. The second slightly smaller room had a shower, toilet and sink. Overall, the suite was very spacious and we were never in each other's way. Each night there was a turn down service and along with chocolates on the pillows, our kids were left a treat consisting of a plate of cookies and a couple of cartons of milk. The mini bar (which was at no cost) was stocked once a day and held soda, beer, water, milk, juice and snacks. There was always plenty of bottled water available in the room but if you need more, just ask and they will bring it (as you will need it to brush your teeth). The room also had a good size safe to store our valuables. Although, while we were here everything seemed safe/secure and we were able to relax without having to worry. There was free wi-fi throughout the resort and to many areas of the beach too, just be sure to get the password when you check in.Arrival to the hotel and check in was simple. After we arrived, our luggage was tagged and we were taken to our Reserve building via golf cart. Each Reserve building has it's own lobby and set of concierges. The check in area was set up well with a desk and chairs as well as couches. Our family sat on the couches which allowed our kids to watch cartoons as we handled the necessary details. There were also cookies and snacks available in this area too. We were each given nice (not cheap looking) bracelets to wear for our stay and 4 plastic towel cards (the size of a credit card). The towel cards are exchanged for fresh pool or beach towels in the morning and when you return them at night you are given cards for the next day. Having arrived late in the day and not knowing about the towel system, we went into the pool around 5:30pm and were unable to get towels until the next morning. So, we drip dried back to our room. The Reserve has a large pool which is about 5 feet deep in it's deepest section and a kids pools with small slides where toddlers of all ages can touch the bottom with no problem. Reserve guests can also go to the main resort and use that pool, but we never did. It seemed busier at the main resort pool. Reserve guests were also given their own section of the beach which was never really busy and had it's own servers. Travel to and from the Reserve to the main resort was done by golf cart shuttles and took about 5 minutes. We never really waited longer than 5 minutes for a shuttle either. There were nightly shows, which Sofia gave us information on each morning and they were all child friendly. On nights there were no shows (2 nights out of 7), there was a beach party that started a little later. The entertainment was pretty good for an island resort and we enjoyed it. There were plenty of activities (painting, stretching, paddleboard yoga, dancing, etc) to do by the pool as well. A schedule is provided when you arrive along with information on the kids club, teen club, shows and more. I can't say enough good things about the resort. Everything was clean, organized and excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful and made sure our stay was fantastic. Cabana reservations were handled by Sofia each day. All we had to do was let her know the day before if we would prefer the beach or the pool for the next day and she'd take care of the rest. The next morning, all you had to do was be at the pool or the beach by 10AM and the cabana was yours. If you're not there by 10AM, they can be taken by folks without reservations. A few staff should be recognized for their efforts. By the pool, Emilio Valdez and Wander Rua really took the time to interact with us and make sure our drinks were always full. These two gentlemen were excellent at their jobs! Luis Pena at the Hydro Bar (located next to the Reserve pool) made our lunch each day. After the first lunch here, we were hooked! Hydro's offerings were limited to burgers, hot dogs, pizza, quesadillas and salads, but all was delicious! There was also an ice cream dispenser and cones on the counter for anyone who wanted soft serve. At the beach, Luis provided towels, brought us to our cabana and kept the drinks flowing too. And, Daniel, who was our server at Fuego, was not only and excellent server, he interacted well with our children and made the experience fun even though we were in one of the more proper restaurants. At the end of the trip, we really felt that we were treated like family by these staff (especially Sofia!) throughout the week and they are one of the many reasons we would come back to the Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana if we return to the Dominican Republic. The only negative I could see is a negative you get at many island resorts. The beach has a number of people walking by trying to sell you something (excursions, hats, sunglasses, handmade jewelry, photos with a monkey...yes, a monkey... or a parrot, etc. They wouldn't walk into the areas of the chairs and approach you, but they would walk back and forth advertising their particular product. Not a huge negative, but just something to be aware of. It's not as closed to as bad as arriving through the Punta Cana airport with everyone trying to sell you a ride even though you've already booked one, but it could be annoying to some. They weren't difficult to avoid if you didn't want to buy anything. Thanks to Sofia, I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. Very enjoyable and relaxing family vacation!!
Had a great time thanks to Victor and Eduardo with water aerobics and yoga . They provided us with an awesome time . We laughed so much it was great. This made the trip seem so much better since we basically had nothing to do because of the hurricane scheduled to come all was canceled or closed . We were only able to use the Gabi restaurant buffet due to storm preparing etc. however the food was good . The service was some what lacking but no major complaints. Junior one of the servers was the best most pleasant person at the establishment . We only lost power for about 2 minutes and had an issue with our air conditioning unit which took about an hour or more to fix but it was fixed . Again lots of the same issues I had im sure had it not been because of the hurricane disruptions etc it would've never happened. Would visit again and hope to take full advantage of the other restaurants being that We were cheated this time around .
I love this resort, we been here twice and we will be back, great employees specially Alexander Pouriet and concierge Hilario , great team love the food and drinks also , i love the shows, the Casino and the beach
