Casa Marina Reef Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
I went with my mother to this resort, it was a good stay, the weather was nice and the resort is also good. The weekends are busy, it means you have to wait a bitt longer at the buffet. The food is not always very hot, butt good to eat. The rooms are nice, and they have a good size. The bathroom is a bit old butt everything works good. The animation team is very nice. The shows are good and they are doing the best they can. We liked Luis the most, he is very nice and caring. He likes his work and does the shows very good. The other employees are also very nice and trying to help you.
We are currently at Hotel Casa Marina (Reef & Beach are the same facility, just a different location on the property. There is no difference between the two)We have been here many times and we will be staying 6 weeks this year from Mid November until Christmas. The Hotel is old, and not fancy but adequate. There are a couple of sit down restaurants, and a Buffet. It is an all inclusive resort, the food is not wonderful, but you can always find something good to eat. Breakfasts are wonderful, Fresh Fruit, Juice, eggs & Omlets made to order, Toast, Cereal, Pancakes, French Toast, Bacon, Han, Sausages, Potatoes, Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, etc. Remember, it is in the Caribbean , so things will not be done as efficiently as at home. There a re 3 swimming Pools, and it is located on 2 beaches, and walking distance from everything. The people at the facility are nice as long as you treat them nice. You can walk everywhere in Sosua, and it is just 20 Minutes to Puerto Plata or 15 Minutes so Cabarette. It is a very good value.
We just returned from this hotel. First the good:- Hotel staff was awesome, very friendly and accommodating.- Food was pretty decent, we travelled as 4 and nobody got sick or the runs.- Beautiful Ocean (lots of waves but beautiful view)- Very close to town with some great little shops , restaraunts etc- Cold tubs over looking the ocean are awesomeThe Bad:- Rooms were older and need updating- ANNOYING VENDORS!- This really pissed us off. We came to the resort to have a relaxing time, not to be hassled by vendors. The hotel lets them set up right in the throughway to get to the bar/eating areas. I understand these guys are just trying to make money but they are very aggressive and try to stop you everytime you walk by. They allowed them to set up 3 times in the 6 days we were there. All in in all, for the money, it was pretty decent. Anyone looking to vaca for cheap should consider this place. Bang for the buck is good.-
value for money hotel, food variety of food, pleasant receptionists always there to help with any issues,Jemi, Brenda et al and the security guard who served us drinks on arrival. There was enough pools and entertainment to keep you occupied.
Stayed at Casa Marina again for the 3rd time in September 2016. What can I say.... I love this place. I travelled with my 2 sons who also had an amazing time. Everything about this resort was great. Really loved the entertainment staff, shout out to VLADY, OLVIS, DANIEL, DJ FRANKLIN, YARITZA and SCARLETT. They were amazing!! xoxoxFood and drinks were good, as well as our accommodations. Ventured off the resort every day, Dominicans are amazing. Cant wait to return with my friend/sista in January 2017. We missing you guys!!! See you soon, We'll be back...get ready for us!!!
