Casa Marina Reef Resort

Love this place. There’s so much to do, and the view (Oceanside) is amazing. Food and drink was amazing. People were friendly. They were renovating/expanding the other half of the resort while I️ was there. I’m jealous of those who get to enjoy it at it’s full potential.I’ll be back!
I was at this hotel a couple of days weeks ago and it was a very nice week! All of the geo were very funny and they organized a lot of activities. I also make myself new friends. The service was good and they answered our questions clearly and quickly if we got some.
Definitely would recommend Casa Marina Reef. Rooms were clean, food was pretty good and the staff were unreal. Very accommodating, fun and friendly. Isaac was one of the staff who was always available to lend a helping hand or a laugh and the festivities that he and his coworkers would hold throughout the day were very fun and entertaining.Resort was very clean and despite them having been hit hard by the hurricane, the area that was still open was gorgeous.I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun but relaxing vacation.
I went to Casa Marina with my family last week and had a good time, Rooms were clean, Beds were comfortable, Pillows not much, Food was Ok not much variety but great in taste, we loved the fact that the resort was right in town so we had plenty of activity's to do everyday, Never bored, Sadly more then half of the resort was closed including the beach due to renovations but we did get to use a public beach that was right beside it We didn't mind it at all! it was clean no rocks, it was enjoyable and very wavy!!! What I really think that they need to improve on is the customer service" very rude staff", not friendly at all!! The staff really seemed like they could care less which was Offputting. Mind you there were 3-5 like Gustavo(Bartender), Jonathan( bellboy), Amaury and a couple more males from Entertainment that were really great! but the rest of them quiet honestly really Sucked. Basically better off serving yourself.
Was told there was no hurricane damage but we were moved from one side to the other for renovations. When we got there we found out 2/3 of the resort was closed and inaccessible. On the resort we were “asked” daily or more if we wanted to go to see the 5 star resort(time share). Even when told no thank you they don’t stop. Food- not bad but not the best I’ve had. No complaints. Rooms- very clean, fridge stocked daily. Lots of hot water and ac worked well. Town- be prepared to see lots of prostitution and drug dealers. Walking from the resort across the street my husband was stopped and offered cocaine and a hooker before he could get to the local ball diamond across the street. Scenery- very pretty. The resort is edged by lava and up on a cliff. The ocean is beautiful with Puerto Plata across from the sunset bar. Beach- Unfortunately when we where there the beach was only accessible by a steep set of stairs next door. No paddle boats or kayaks available.
