We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was spacious and clean - more functional than glamourous but then this is a budget hotel! The staff were very helpful; breakfast was plentiful and good - and well topped up. Very good value for money.
John (my husband) and I stayed here last October and we had such an enjoyable time that we want to go back ASAP! We stayed in separate rooms to get more sleep and they were both large and comfortable with large TVs, safes, and good bathrooms. It would hVe been good to have tea in the room but we could have that downstairs at any time. Breakfast was good with rolls, fruit, ham and cheese, etc.The hotel was near public transport and you can walk into town, although that's a bit far. The staff were very helpful. We just love Nice!
A simple 3 star hotel ........ The location of the hotel is excellent, close to everything one would want in Nice ........ The hotel is just about adequate, and an excellent value for money proposition ........ The rooms & bathrooms are small, but sparkling clean ......... Breakfast is just about right .... Comfortable but not very luxurious
This hotel is very well situated, close to bus and tram services, with several good bars and restaurants patronised by locals only a few minutes walk away. It is very suitable for anyone wanting to avoid the tourist-oriented places around the Promenade des Anglais.Staff were cheerful and helpful. The inclusive continental breakfast was adequate, with nicely fresh croissants, pastries and bread. There is a machine producing freshly pressed orange juice to order. The downsides were the very stark room decor typical of Ibis hotels and a general need for redecoration. Everywhere was clean but just a bit tired. The aircon units produced plenty of heat (this was January), but for some reason one of our rooms retained a slight supuchral chill which no amount of heating could entirely eliminate. Also noise insulation between rooms and from the corridor was not up to the most modern standards.
This was my second visit to this hotel, chosen because of its location, secure parking and a computer for customer use.I booked a twin room to find that the room had a double bed and sofa bed - the sofa bed was made up as second bed, meaning that one of us was going to have to spend 4 nights on a sofa bed without a reading light close by, the room was taken up almost completely by beds and there would be no sofa to sit on.On returning from a trip out we found that the room had developed a vile smell of drains. This was dealt with very quickly by changing our room. This time we had it left made up as a double. Both rooms we were in were tired but clean, with bedding and towels changed every day.A ceiling light in the corridor was not working throughout the stay, leaving a section of corridor in darkness. The computer was not always working, for quite long periods of time.We were allocated a parking space so small that I could hardly get into it safely, though this was altered at my request.Breakfast was self service and had a reasonable choice of food, no hot food available but a lovely fresh orange juice machine.A kettle, drinks materials and leftover pastries are available in the foyer all day and well into the evening at no extra cost. I found staff throughout extremely friendly and helpful and check in and check out were efficiently managed.
