Location: Promenade des Anglais, Old Nice.
Went for Christmas...Excellent large room given...Side sea view.. Balcony...English TV stations.tea and coffee making facilities...Lovely bathroom very clean hotel and helpful staff...Fab location for everything in Nice...
There are some hotels, where you just simply feel valued, well and cared about. This is one of them. Modern, stylish with excellent and friendly staff. We stayed in a priviledge room with a view of the see. I love staring at the Promenade, whatching the sunrise and sunset, the busy traffic, the blue see. In the professionally cleaned room you can enjoy free minibar with soft drinks, Nespresso with a small selection of capsules, teas. I liked the large tv screen with ambient light very much, although I had only limited time to watch it, as I was out in the City most of the time. The Hotel has ideal location, close to the old city part, the main square and to public transport too. The bus to the airport leaves from the bus stop located just in front of the hotel. I should mention the breakfast room, it looks like a modern kitchen at home, with excellent fresh food, french pastries, superb selection of coffees and teas just to point out to some. There is even one small corner with iMac with printer where you can print you boarding pass if needed. I left with excellent memories and I will hopefully return very soon.
The only positive thing about this place is it's location, a few steps from the main road and the sea.Originally we were offered a corner room with sea view, finally at arrival the room was "close to the corner" but no sea view at all. Also the maximum number of people in a room is 3, but what you do if you travel with 1-year old twins? we had to book 2 rooms! because the hotel policy doesn't allow 4 people in one room. The worst part was breakfast, one day they run out of bread and their response was that "there will be bread tomorrow"; explain that to a hungry baby...Also the coffee machines didn't work and the staff is so busy that has no time to refill or fix them; they had the worst attitude ever. Also take in consideration this hotel has no parking, you have to use the public one that is always overcrowded.
This hotel is located on the Nice Promenade overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. We had an Ocean view room which made for stunning sunsets. It wasn't a large room but had everything we needed. The main shopping street is short walk away along with many restaurants. The hotel is close to most of the attractions but be aware that most of them are closed on Tuesday as we discovered our disappointment. The daily hotel breakfast is adequate. Not lot of variety but ok all the same. I have read the reviews which say that the reception staff are not very friendly. We didn't find this to be the case. Jean-Jacques was absolutely lovely with a great sense of humour and speaks good english. He is an asset to this hotel. We were given a voucher for welcome drinks due our Accor status but there is no bar facility. just a fridge by reception that they open for you to choice what you need. There is a restaurant but it has a very limited selection so we didn't use it. There is a McDonalds downstairs and a Hard Rock Cafe about 50 metres down the Promenade if you need a burger fix.All in all this hotel is excellent and we would recommend
I wasn't astounded by this hotel. Our view of the ocean was good, and the sunrise was a sight to see. The room was clean. But the staff were not very nice or welcoming. They made jokes when we asked how we should get to the train. I'd give the hotel 3 and a half stars for the nice view and location.
