Adagio Porte de Versailles
- What's Included
I've been staying here for two weeks already and unfortunately I need to stay for two more months since this was booked by my company (obviously I would've transferred to a different hotel if only I had a choice). The receptionists are not very accommodating (even if that's what's the hotel's been pushing for). They don't approach well on non-French speakers - they are very condescending, but I noticed that they don't have the same treatment for people who speak French. The laundry room is broken ever since I got here, and initially they posted that it will be fixed on the 16th of January, but now they moved it to 23rd of the same month. Unfortunately the nearest public laundromat is 500 meters away. They also apparently change their door codes every 15th of the month but the receptionist during my check-in did not bother to inform me that, so I had to ring the doorbell as I figured they had issues with their front door (as some days they left it open). Just today, the woman receptionist (she was rather old, I didn't get her name unfortunately), barging rudely at me and telling me that I have a door code. To think there were other guests who I don't even know. I told her my code, and she says it wasn't the right code. That's the only time she ended up telling me that they change the code every 15th of the month. They should include that in their guidelines.Whenever I had deliveries, they did not bother to call my apartment to inform me, but I had to check with them from time to time until the parcel arrived. The rooms are okay, but can only be cleaned once a week (and they don't even do a good job at it). I had to throw my garbage myself because the room service did not even bother doing it themselves. And the room heater hardly even works. I would still find myself freezing at night, considering that it is winter here in France. The only perk on this hotel is that it was close to a tram and metro stations, otherwise if it was possible to score zero, I would have.
I booked this aparthotel via booking.com. Reviewed here looked good, so had no worry going for the non refundable option. on arrival with wife and 2 babies. We were grated by a charming french girl at the reception. When through the check-in process. With keys in hand we went upstairs. Boy this place is clean. Better than few 4* hotel I can guaranty you! first thing first. the heating was not working. I call the reception and someone was sent to check the system. some one came in, had a look at the fuse box power off and on the heating and things same to work well. This last for 2 hours. then same situation. By then the reception was closed. No worry I said myself. then we decide to cook our meal. we had an 8 pieces set of cutlery ! yes just one 40" frying pan and one 6" saucepan. None of them had a cover. I just wonder how they expect you to cook for 4 people in such situation?? Parking is charged 15 Euros a day! so add this to your booking price.
Found this place in our preferred business hotel list.Apart hotel for a good price , enough space in the room, full kitchen with all you need.Rooms it self are a bit out dated, very quiet inside room with inner garden. breakfast 11 euro simple but excellent fresh coffee, OJ, baked bread and all other things like yoghurt , nutella, very nice for the price. Why very good rate you might think, for me it is value for moneydon't complain if you book a hotel for this price and not everything is perfect then go to a place for 400 per night 😏🤔
We stayed at the Adagio PDV apartment hotel for one week. The location is great - convenient walk to the Expo and metro, and is close to restaurants and shops. The hotel is quite dated, and is in a serious need of renovations (or a deep clean) - the friendliness of the staff make up for what it lacks.
I have just stayed here for 2 1/2 months and am mightily unimpressed. Let's start with the good bits... The rooms generally are quite spacious and well appointed with a small but functional kitchen with hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. During my stay the room was cleaned once a week which is good since on non cleaning days you can leave your stuff out.Now for the bad bits... during my stay, the toilet never saw bleach during the weekly cleans and I had to resort to buying some and doing it myself. The WiFi is slow and unreliable and the air conditioning in my room never worked - as was the case in many other rooms. The breakfast was woeful. Most of the time the staff were great at looking busy but not actually doing anything. So every morning we either had no cups for coffee, or not bread or no eggs. Incidentally the egg boiler didn't actually boil so a soft boiled egg needed 5-6 minutes. The restaurant floor wasn't cleaned during my stay so gradually became stickier and stickier. As for clearing tables - rarely happened. Any to cap it all - no toaster! The hotel self service laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers. generally one was out of action at some point. Not a pleasant stay overall.
