Family vacations

It was a good experience. Good service, efficient staff. The only two inadequate things were the shower water temperature and the lack of a coffee at the entrance of the Hotel (the machine was faulty on more than one occasion).

Spent three weeks here when relocating to Paris

Good rooms with bath and small kitchen. Picard store nearby and restaurants, bars, shopping centre and major Metro station at the door. Great markets on Tuesday, Friday and Sundays within 50 metres. Good wifi and breakfast is satisfactory to get you going

Strategic location

just next to the metro, and Paris Chinatown with nice food. very convenient with all local restaurants and conventional shops for daily usage. staffs are very helpful and friendly. they even upgrade for us and free us breakfast :) [partly because im regular to Ascott and we stay continuously for 4 days)

Not in tourist area, but everything you need

I stayed at Citadines Place d'Italie for five weeks while doing research at the BnF. I had originally booked Citadines Austerlitz, , which is closer to the library, but the hotel contacted me the day before I arrived to tell me that there were repairs that had to be done there, so they were moving me to Place d'Italie, one Metro stop away (about 1/2 mile). Normally the Place d'Italie is a bit more expensive, but they honored the original price I paid voluntarily. I stayed in a one bedroom unit. On the plus side, everyone who works here is unfailingly kind and helpful. While I speak French, I have heard the staff also easily converse in Spanish and English with the guests. The room was cleaned once per week, as advertised, and the cleaners were also polite and helpful--and did an excellent job. I never tried the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The little apartments are fairly basic, but have everthing you need, including a two burner cooking surface, microwave, refrigerator, and the world's tiniest dishwasher. Everything worked fine except the dishwasher, which was a little hit or miss. Mostly I just washed by hand--a scrubber and dishwashing liquid were provided. My unit had separate bathroom and toilet rooms, as is fairly common in France. The shower/bathtub was full size, and worked well. A body wash/shampoo was provided. The bed and pillows were very comfortable--no problems at all. The heating worked just fine, and the windows open completely if you want a breeze. I don't know if there is air conditioning because I visited in January/February. The area is not really a tourist area, which is some ways is quite nice. The Place d'Italie is a very busy roundabout, so there is traffic noise most of the time, which wasn't a problem with the windows closed. It is on the edge of Chinatown, and there are a lot of Asian restaurants (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese) along with plenty of traditional French and Italian restaurants. The hotel is right across the street from a Metro (subway) entrance, and lines 5, 6, and 7 all pass through the station. It is very easy to get where you want to go. For longer stays, there is a full grocery store right next door at Italie 2-- a shopping mall. Go to the basement of the mall and continue all the way to the back. All in all, everything you need is close at hand, and the Metro couldn't be closer. I was highly satisfied.

Best location for asian food

My 3rd time staying here. When i was having training in Paris in 2012 & 2013, Citadines Place D italie was the hotel, at that time there was no face lift but it was still clean room. The in 2016 i came to Paris with my wife and stayed in a much expensive hote the For the price , you get a bigger size room, near the metro, shopping, morning market and asian food.
