Excellent experience

This is a great place to stay in Paris, within walking distance of Bastille, the metro, the Seine, a fabulous food market twice a week, and a supermarket. We stayed there for a week. Our room at the back of the hotel was on the 4th floor spacious with a small balcony, and very quiet. Great little kitchen and very good bathroom.Of the five Citadines that we have stayed in over the years, this is the best! The big plus was all day coffee in the breakfast room from an excellent expresso machine.

Vacation with our grandson

A perfect place to vacation with our 6 year old grandson. Having an apartment permitted us to let him keep his sleep habits without forcing us to tiptoe all evening. Eating 3 times a day in a restaurant would bave been both too tiring for him and too expensive. The breakfast was free for his age group. The location was perfect. Close to the subwy and a short walk from many sites ( Pompidou, Bastille, le Marais). The room was comfortable and calm.

Good choice for Paris first timers

We have spent 4 days here before heading to The Netherlands. It was little but comfortable apartment with a small balcony and windows looking over Boulevard Richard Lenoir. Had everything we needed and the hotel is really just walking distance from heaps of attractions. Staff gave us ideas where to go, how to get there a useful map. There is a wonderful market along this boulevard twice a week, make sure you go, I think it is on Thursdays and Sundays. There is free coffee in the hotel, but us Melbournians have such great coffee we are a bit fussy. When you come out of the hotel, turn right and right again in the side street, half way down on the other side is a little coffee shop, they sell snacks and the best coffee in that part of Paris. Love to stsy here again.

Second visit - still delighted

We stayed here back in 2014 and enjoyed it so much we decided that we would stay again this time. It felt a little like coming home as we were able to hit the ground running straight away without the usual "getting to know you" time you would normally spend on a new hotel and it's surrounds. Our studio apartment had a kitchenette which had everything you could want, to assist in the preparation of meals. The bed, bedding and bathroom were of a high standard. We even had a small patio to ourselves which was fantastic given the mild weather we enjoyed. The hotel is in the Bastille area and close to two lines of the Metro and it is a 20 minute walk to Gare de Lyon. There is a self serve laundry (fees apply) as well as a 6am to midnight free coffee machine which makes really great espresso based drinks and hot chocolate. Looking forward to our next visit.

Citadines Bastille Marais

It's really a very good and convinient place. I lived in a Deluxe room. It is spacious and good equipped. If you stay with Citadines you have to know and remember that the cleanning is only once a week, but you can ask to change towels or pay for extra cleanning. Be attention! They may forget about the cleanning and say it is your problem, so I recommend to remind the personnel about the cleanning in the morning. One of the receptionist mr. Souheil is rude, boorish, unfriendly. Other staff is friendly and ready to meet your problems, but a rotten apple injures its neighbours. There are three underground stations and a bus stop near there. You can go easily to any historical and touristic attractions in Paris. The rooms faced the garden are peace and quiet, but if you'd like to have a good view and feel the vibrant life of a city you should have a room faces the boulevard.
