Room #304, reserved for 2 adults in early September 2016. The room was hot and the airconditioning was non-functioning. The management said that if they couldn't fix the a/c, they would leave a fan in the room for us. As it turned out, they just left a fan in the room since it was obvious there are few functioning a/c units in the building. By leaving the room window open at night, we got a little bit cooler, but we also picked up all of the noises of the families, and sound systems, living above the courtyard we faced. The room is small, with just enough room to lay out your luggage and still walk around the bed. The bathroom was clean and good sized, but with some cracked floor tiles, and a faucet that was loose at its base. At breakfast, the dining room was sweltering as well. The staff is so nice there, which is a shame, as they deserve a nicer place to work.Metro is a very short walk and the Hop on/Hop off bus stop is just as close. Plenty of grocery, wine shops, restaurants are close as well.
Used Expedia to book a room for a family at the given hotel. Reservation requested was for 1 room with 2 adults and 2 kids. What was allocated, without due notice to us, was 2 double rooms in this hotel. This was rather challenging, since we were not comfortable with kids sleeping alone, nor us sleeping apart. We arrived late, after 9:30pm after travelling from Amsterdam with a stopover in Brussels - so we were tired already. The hotel had no options to give us. If we moved to their associate hotel down the street, they wanted us to pay a premium of 50% per night - which did not make sense. Finally when we checked into the rooms, they were damp, and they were very small. We come from North America, so while we expected small rooms, but expected some walking space with minimal luggage (1 small check-in bag, per person). The ACs in both the rooms were not working either. The only saving grace, why I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1, is the person at the reception was doing his best to accommodate us. But he is only duty bound to follow the rules, which were weird for us.Finally, we gave up on the rooms - as leaving the windows open was not an option either - and and had to move to the adjoining associate hotel. After all the aggravation, they were atleast able to waive us the surcharge, and provide 1 single room with a double bed, and a pull-out sofa bed for the kids. The ACs in the rooms must be fixed, given that the rooms did not have windows opening into the front, but rather into some middle dark space.
Our first trip to Paris! Hotel location is great. Close to metro and a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. We had two adjacent rooms. Rooms were bit small but bathrooms were good size and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning could've improved
A bad experience. The hotel is dirty, old, and lacks a real air conditioning system. The phones don´t work either. The metro is really close and ther zone is attractive, but service is poor. Difficult to communicate since they don´t talk spanish and the english is too bad. In july, with the heat is difficult to sleep.
This hotel has a great location, it is close to pretty much everything you want to see in Paris. Second the staff is very friendly. Don't be surprise with the rooms, they are very small but comfortable, anyway everything in Europe is really small. so, book this hotel and have fun.
