Hotel Cervantes Paris
- What's Included
Great location on a quiet street. Near a few supermarkets within 3 minutes. Nice staff always greeting you when you come in or leave the hotel. There is a coffee machine for free. We enjoyed our four nights in Paris.
Took my son to Paris for his birthday and stayed here, wonderful hotel with equally wonderful helpful staff, kingsize bed, tea/coffee in room and very clean. Free wifi, short walk away from 2 metro stations and small supermarket up the road. We would definitely stay here again as loved it and ideally placed for what we wanted.
Hotel was smaller, but very nice and clean. Initially thought it was inconvenient, but within walking distance of Metro station made it accessible to everything. Was actually nice to not be in the middle of all the tourist activity every evening/night. Next door to the Paris Saint Lazare train station, making it easy to catch train to Normandy for day tour of D-day beaches. Hotel offered wine and cheese each afternoon. Make sure your room is not on the lobby level – as ours was – you can hear all the noise from the lobby and outside. Only confusion was that we had booked two twin beds and ended up with a double. Apparently hotel doesn’t have any twin beds even though that was advertised and as a result booked by us. Would definitely consider this hotel again in the future.
Couldn't have picked a better hotel! Stayed here for my birthday for 4 nights. Perfect location just a 2 minute walk from Rome metro station which had easily travel routes to Paris attractions. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and suggested multiple restaurants and also the 3 day metro pass that would get us to everywhere we needed to go at a discounted price rather than buying return tickets. Breakfast was ideal with a choice of pastries, cheese, bread, meat and eggs sausage and toast. Perfect views from the room no matter whether you stay on the front or back and the hotel was beautiful. All in all a perfect 4 nights given to us by Hotel Cervantes! Will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for making my birthday week so amazing'
If you want a clean and friendly place to stay then this is it, it is has everything you could need nearby for a good stay in Paris. There are several excellent Patisseries within a few minutes walk, at least 2 food stores within a few minutes walk and more than enough Cafes to choose from.Breakfast is 12 euros pp a day, we didn't take advantage of this, from previous reviews the Hotel breakfast appears to be very good but we opted to buy our own. A large Fresh Baguette, meat, cheese and jam. Less than 25 Euros got us enough baguettes, croissants, meat, cheese and jam for our 4 day stay. WiFi in the hotel, we found this very weak and intermittent in our room. Although the rooms are nice and clean they are on the small side. Our room was a Deluxe Room. If after all, your planing on spending all day exploring Paris then the room size isn't going to be a problem. There is a Mini Bar in each room (a small fridge), ours only consisted of 2 small bottles of water - Be warned, you will be charged if you drink the water, IT IS NOT FREE as we thought. It cost us iirc 16 Euros when we checked out. Surely a Mini Bar should consist of more than just water, a price list should also be on the door. However as there was no price list and nothing but 2 bottles of water we assumed the water was complimentary.Power Sockets - we only had one in our room and it wasn't even next to the bed. Luckily we have a travel plug that has 2 USB ports which allowed us to charge both our phones at the same time..........as this was the only socket it was used for charging our phones, boiling the kettle and using the DVD Player if we had wanted to use that.Noise from trains has been mentioned, our room was extremely quiet, it was on the 3rd floor at the front of the building. It was almost directly above the entrance to the Hotel and we were not disturbed at all by traffic or the coming and goings of guests. It takes approx 20 mins to walk to the Arc De Triomphe (approx 10 mins via the Metro Station ROME which is around a 5 mins walk) from there you can get one of several buses that will take you around all the major sights. We used the Big Bus and cost 34 Euros pp. You simply get off at your chosen sightseeing destination, when your finished just hop on another Big Bus to the next destination of your choice on the route. Airport Shuttle Service / Taxi CostThe cost of an Airport Taxi to Paris is set at 50 Euros and takes around 35mins - obviously depending on trafficAirport Shuttle from the Hotel is 18 Euros pp. Taking into account it may have pick ups before and after, book it earlier than needed. I booked for 06:00, due to it having a pick up before us it didn't arrive until 06:15. There was a further pick up after us and subsequently didn't get to the Airport until 07:00, That was 30 mins later than i had planned for. If you want a simple, clean and friendly Hotel within easy reach of Central Paris this is a good place to choose. All the Hotel Staff speak excellent English and are very helpful and frieidly. There are also free drinks (wine) and a little selection of meat, cheese and bread between 6pm - 8.30pm every night.
