Hotel Cervantes Paris
- What's Included
Pleasant place for 3 night break. Comfy, clean rooms. Bathrooms not the greatest, small and slightly dingy, but fine for the amount of time we were there. Free breakfast threw in on arrival for full stay, huge bonus. Free cocktails for two hours every evening. Good base for city sights. Metro stations very close and handy, not hotel related but found ourselves in middle of Stalingrad area...avoid at all costs.
Room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed. Hotel situated on quiet street close to Rome metro station and well placed to visit all the main sights in Paris. Free cocktails and snacks available during the early evening. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the cervantes for three nights and cannot thank the manager and receptionist enough for helping us retrieve our return flight booking, they were very helpful indeed. The hotel is well located for sight seeing in Paris. They offer complimentary cocktails and coffee downstairs, tea and coffee, TV with some satellite channels and safe in the rooms which is more than some hotels offer. The beds were comfortable and rooms were cleaned daily, and this is no easy task considering the high maintenance and bright color scheme in the rooms and stains people walk in to the carpets.
Have just returned from a short 2 night stay at Hotel Cervantes. We got a last minute deal for new year, so was a little sceptical about the quality of the hotel I booked. It was a pleasant surprise.Lovely entrance, reception and bar area. The room was small, but not a problem. It was clean and tidy and the beds were comfy. Walls are very thin, so its quite noisy, but not anything unbearable. Small bathroom and small small shower cubicle! Kettle, coffee, tea, mini bar and safe all in the room too. Breakfast was delicious. A good continental spread. The best part of our stay at this hotel, was that for a small refundable deposit, they provide you with a portable wifi hub. This way we had internet and 3G access all the time while sightseeing around Paris. A fabulous idea and really made all the difference. Easy to get to from Charles De Gaulle airport. Follow the train station signs. Pay €10 for a ticket to Gare du Nord, then get a ticket for the metro (approx €2) and follow pink line 4 to Barbes Rochechouart, then change onto blue line 2, and get off at Rome Station. When exiting Rome metro station, go up the stairs and turn immediately left. Cross the road and you'll see a supermarket called City. Follow this road round and its 1 minute walk down the Rue de Berne.Use the Metro for sightseeing. 10 minutes from Arc de Triomph, 10 min from Notre Dame, 15-20 min from Eiffel Tower, 5 min from Moulin Rouge. Buy a 2 day metro ticket pass from the window in the metros. Cheaper than each trip, as it will soon add up.A great budget base overall.
We stayed here at the beginning of December with our 3 year old, the hotel was great and in a perfect location! we visited disneyland paris as well as the centre of paris and it was all easily accessible from the metro station which was 5 minutes away from the hotel. Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants close by. Hotel was lovely and clean - only fault was not much of a choice for breakfast and not much seating either but other than that staff were friendly and would stay here again.
