Paris was our 1st stop on 11 days Euro Tour, we were here for 3 nights arriving around noon and when we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to wait 15 minutes since our room was still being cleaned. The reception lady was very nice and polite, we were given Room 24. Granted the room was small, just enough to walk at the side of the bed but it's really, really clean - the bathroom is like new, tile grouts are unbelievably clean and I cannot find any dirt at all. If cleanliness is important to you, I highly recommend this Hotel because this is the only hotel I can safely walk barefooted. Location is perfect! That alone has convinced my husband we will stay in this hotel again in our next visit to Paris (will include small map photo). Breakfast was also the best among the 3 hotels we stayed in Europe (at least this trip). They had fresh mixed fruits cut-up already, fruit juices, breads, cereals, etc., and my favorite the Prosciutto. Across the street is the Starbucks and the Night Bar every reviewer was complaining of noise, we heard it too (the noise) but it didn't bother us at all. This hotel has hit all 3 important things when I choose a hotel - cleanliness, location and service. Here are the few things some researchers might be interested to know since I did a lot of research too preparing for this trip and this hotel I'm proud to say I made the right choice:1. If you have 1 big luggage and 2 carry-on, there will be enough space for you to put your things and still walk at the front of the bed. Big luggage at the luggage-rack, 1 carry-on on-top of the stool, and 1 carry-on on-top of the chair. We utilized under the table spaces to leave more than enough space to walk in the room.2. Hair drier is strong/powerful you do not need to bring your own. It's also detached, so you can use it outside the bathroom.3. Our room has a full body size mirror by the closet next to the door which is perfect to store my "beautification accessories" and with a light directly above, therefore, I used this space while my husband is using the bathroom mirror.4. Laundromat next door, it shows 7/7 (not 24/7) if this is important to anyone but we did not use it.5. Restaurants everywhere within walking distance, some pricey and some reasonable priced with smaller restaurant or sandwich store, crepes for a quick bite. I've written a review of the 1st restaurant we ate at if someone is interested to know (Le Parc Aux Cerfs) recommended by the night staff. By the way, if you value your space and don't want to rub elbows (literally speaking) with other dinners, that restaurant is not for you hahaha.6. Towels - clean and fluffy. I am very particular about towels thats why we brought our own but since the towels were clean, we used the hotel towel and saved ours. They do have face towel, hand towel and oversized bath towel heavy enough to dry you up quickly without the towel feeling too wet.7. Location is perfect. That's it, I hope I mentioned everything that could be important to others. Honestly, compare to other hotels we stayed at in this trip, Hotel Jardin Le Brea is more deserving of 4 star than the 4 star we stayed at in Lourdes France. All staff were friendly, smiling and polite.
It started in a bad way, a list of questions to answer at the check in, that the receptionist can easily answer by herself since she's taking a copy of the passport, and the other information are already given when the reservation was made online...then the bad surprise was with room number 13, just a few centimeters bigger than the double bed in it, making it impossible for me to walk to the bathroom, so I had to jump on the bed every time I needed to use the toilets... the second day another receptionist was nice enough to change us to room 14, and things were much better... Breakfast wasn't appetizing so we decided not to take it, and weird enough there's no minibar in the room. Overall it wasn't our best choice, but we made it for 4 nights... only advantage is the location, but too many surrounding hotels in the same neighborhood that we will not come here anymore.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was a pleasant surprise. It seems that the hotel was recently renovated and the room was clean and comfortable with a modern look. The elevator is relatively small, however with being on the second floor i didn't mind taking the elevator. The hotel overall was extremely clean, the staff at the front desk very helpful and friendly, and with the hotel being close to restaurants and transit stops I would most definitely stay here again.
Hotel Jardin Le Brea is a nice hotel with an accommodating staff. We booked a triple room for the three of us (we brought our three year old) and there was enough space for us. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean. The staff was very kind. They made good recommendations for food and ways to get around. Most importantly, we always felt welcome at the hotel. The only two downsides to the hotel were the number of outlets in our room and breakfast. There was no place to plug in a phone near the bed. In fact, the only plug that didn't turn off when you turned the lights off was the plug for the tv. The only other plug in the room was in the entryway near the bathroom. Two plugs in the entire room. The other weak point was the breakfast. At €14 for a relatively small spread you are better off going down the street to a cafe for breakfast.Hotel Jardin Le Brea is a nice hotel with an equally good staff. If you need a hotel in this area this is a good option.
Hotel Jardin Le Brea is in a great location close to metro stations and within walking distance of St. Germain and the Latin Quarter. Although our room was quite small, it was clean, modern and comfortable. It had good A/C, which was important as it was very hot when we were in Paris. There was a good selection at breakfast with breads, cheeses, eggs, etc. and there was also complimentary coffee available all day long. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
