We stayed at Hotel Jardin Le Brea for 3 nights in a Classic Twin Room. The room was very comfortable and newly renovated. The beds were particularly comfortable and the room was quiet. The room itself is small but this was not a problem for us at all and was what we expected for Europe. The bathroom however was quite spacious for European standards with a full bathtub. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We had trouble with one of the light switches and they came to solve the problem immediately. The front desk is open 24 hours and someone is always there to greet you on return to the hotel. There was free coffee and tea in the lobby and a lovely space to sit and enjoy the view of the street. The location of the hotel was good. It was about a 3 min walk to the Metro line 4 station Vavin. It was about an 8 min walk to the RER B line station Port Royal which we used to get to and from the airport. There are many cafes, restaurants and boulangeries right around the hotel. Luxumburg Garden is a lovely 5-10 min stroll away as well. It is also possible to walk to the St. Michelle area (about 15-20 min). I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of staying in the area.
My husband and loved this charming hotel. The staff were warm and helpful. The room, while small in the typically Parisian way, was lovely, spotless, and nicely appointed. It was right by the Vavin Metro stop. We will definitely return.
We stayed at Hotel Jardin Le Brea for two days, arriving after spending a week in the Dordogne. Our room was small - much like other "boutique" hotels in Paris - and clean and nicely decorated. Our bed was nice and large and comfortable. The size meant the bed took up most of the floor space, but that was a worthwhile compromise for us. (I've stayed at hotels in Paris where the room AND the bed was small!).The bathroom and shower were excellent and modern - just as we'd hoped! We chose to have breakfast in the lower-level breakfast room. I know some guests prefer to walk to nearby restaurants, perhaps to save a few Euros, but for us, the convenience of the hotel's petite dejeuner won out. Unlike some other hotel's petite dejeuner rooms, this was a serve-yourself set-up: Plenty of breads, cold cut meats, eggs, yogurts, coffee and juice to choose from, in a cool stone-wall setting.Having stayed many times in Paris, to me the staff can make or break the experience. The front desk staff were consistently friendly, warm, and helpful. From giving directions, to setting up taxis, to recommending restaurants, everyone at the desk made our stay wonderful. They graciously accepted my mid-level French when I spoke it, or happily switched to English when appropriate. Finally, in our rush to leave on our last day, I left my tablet in the room. With a few emails, the staff quickly found it, and they arranged to ship it back to the U.S.We had a short, but perfect stay.
I traveled in August 2016 with my wife and daughter and stayed the entire 8 nights in the Jardin Le Brea. I highly recommend staying at this quiet and friendly hotel. Every staff member was helpful and extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious every day, and the complementary espresso was really nice. The location is great, very close to a bus and train station, and even within a 3km walk to most of the major tourist attractions in central Paris. The room was spotless, and very respectably apportioned. The triple room was a perfect place for us to return to every night after a day of exploration. There are lots of really great bakeries, restaurants, and shopping in the area. The shower was modern and clean, and we never had any difficulties with water pressure or temperature. During the stay, I had the opportunity to use the lobby computer and printer, and had only minor difficulty adapting to the French formatted keyboard. We had several phones and cameras to charge every night, and had no difficulty since we brought our own power adapters. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. After walking most everywhere for 8 days, we really appreciated that when we finally made it back to the hotel to relax for the night. We were on the 3rd floor so we did have to walk some stairs to get to the room, but it wasn't a problem for us.Overall, this hotel was better than I expected for the trip. We all had a wonderful stay and staying in a quality hotel with really no negative experiences. Based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to return for a future trip.
A delightful find. Right next to a metro station and a great selection of bars and restaurants. The rooms are bijou as are typical of Paris. Bijou and beautiful. Shower room was perfect and they request towel recycling. The hotel staff are lovely and friendly. Very patient with me practicing my French. The lovely people who work there are extremely accommodating. Will provide bucket and ice for champagne bottles etc. Free tea and nespresso coffee in foyer.I've stayed before in 6th much closer to boulevard st. German. However hotel costs much higher for no extra benefit. I will be back to the lovely Le Brea. Just trying to think up any convincing excuse to go back.
