Lovely small hotel with friendly staff, we had a nicely decorated room for 3. Tiny (this being Paris...) but everthing we needed was there. Great location, both Vavin metro and the underground parking at bvd. Montparnasse are just a few steps away. So are the Luxembourg gardens. The only thing I don't understand is this French habit of having 1.40m beds as double beds! We're Dutch (tall people) and I would expect a double bed to be 1.60m at least.
We stayed at the hotel for three nights during our recent trip to Paris. It's in a lovely older building near the Monparnesse area of Paris. It was on a quiet side street but within very close walking distance of multiple Metro and Bus stops. We arrived and were greeted by Stefanie, a member of the staff. She gave us a choice of two available rooms. The hotel has an unusual, but charming layout. The rooms are on various floors so there are a few steps in and out of various corridors and rooms. We chose room 7 which was on the ground floor with a shared terrace just outside the door. It was small, but cozy. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the terrace on our last evening in Paris.Breakfast was included with our room. While the buffet was fairly small, we found that it provided a great start to the day. The food was tasty and we enjoyed it each morning. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Being such a small hotel, they began to recognize us and which room we were in almost immediately. (This was helpful as you give your key to the desk when you leave the hotel). Stefanie gave us a wonderful suggestion of a local restaurant for dinner which we enjoyed twice. We even saw her there after she got off work.We loved this hotel and would absolutely consider if if we ever return to Paris.
This is a hotel in an old building on a charming quiet street 1 1\2 blocks from the Luxembourg Garden and very close to 2 subway lines. Everything has been renovated, and is very clean and well maintained. We had a standard double room on the 3rd floor. It was extremely quiet as long as the windows were latched shut. If not, there was some street noise. The staff was extremely helpful with all our requests. They gave really good restaurant suggestions. The rooms are small, but we had a large bathroom, and everything was well planned so we had enough room to hang up 9 days of clothing. The bed was comfortable, the A\C worked well, and everything we needed was provided. There is a desk in the room, but if we wanted to sit comfortably, we used the lounge in the lobby, which also has a computer to print out advance tickets and airplane passes. Because of all this, combined with the excellent location for easy sight seeing and pleasant, interesting neighborhood, I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is really particularIn a small building, anything is on a other floorMy room had the bed on one floor, and the bathroom downstairs.Never mind to me, but if I were on a wheelchair or rally fat it was impossibile to reach the bathroom !Noone told it to me when I booked...Moreover, even the breakfast room is under the road-level, but almost there is a small lift (I don't know if it is sufficient for a wheelchair)Bur if you don't have trouble to move yourself, the hotel is really fine, workers really polite, the location comfortable to vist Paris
I recently stayed here for 3 nights. I chose the location to be near public transportation for getting around to the major sites in Paris - it was perfect for that reason as the metro was located right at the corner. My hotel room was beautifully decorated, with soft bedding and pillows. The bathroom was roomy enough and appears to have been recently renovated. There was plenty of shelving in the bathroom for toiletry bags and accessories. The towels were large and soft, and included a washcloth (oftentimes unusual for Europe). Water pressure and hot water were plentiful. The staff was always helpful no matter what time of the day. Early one morning the desk clerk helped me with using the hotel's computer to print tickets to the Louvre. Breakfast was located in the cellar of the hotel. There were no windows, but it was made as bright as possible with cheery colors and squishy pillows. The food offered was a standard breakfast with pastries, eggs, cereals, toast, yogurt, juices and coffee/tea.
