My husband and I visited Paris in November of 2015. Unfortunately, the day we arrived was the day of the Paris terror attacks. We were scheduled to check into Hotel Le Six the following day but we did not feel comfortable leaving our original hotel. The concierge was more than understanding and told us they would not charge us for our first night and that we could check in whenever we felt comfortable traveling.Upon approval we were impressed by the décor, cleanliness and attentive staff. The hotel is beautiful but what really makes it special are all of the great staff members. They honored our room request for a room on a higher floor with a balcony and a queen bed. Our balcony was absolutely beautiful and we loved sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The room was very spacious compared to other hotels we had looked at before choosing Hotel Le Six. We loved being greeted each morning and evening by the front desk associate and they always offered tips and directions for our daily outings. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Paris again we will be sure to stay at Hotel Le Six.
My wife and I visited for our 30th anniversary and thought this hotel was very good. What stood out most was the service-thanks Frederick, Teresa and others --the front desk staff helped us find enjoyable restaurants and cafes and ensured we found our way to our attractions and events. They were always super friendly and ready to get us a glass of wine, extra towel or answer questions. The room was nice, but small, as we knew it would be. We loved the small balcony for the view and relaxation. It gets loud in the morning when the trash trucks come by, but not sure they could do anything about that. It's a nice neighborhood and close to many fun cafes with easy access to the metro.
We recently stayed at Hotel Le Six for 12 nights in September. This was our second stay at Le Six and we agree with all the positive reviews made on Tripadvisor. Our room, # 602 in the front of the hotel, was quiet, spacious and the king bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was fine and the hot and cold breakfast was excellent. We used Le Six as a base for our Paris exploration with several Metro stops and the train station an easy walk from the hotel. The surrounding neighborhoods feature a number of small intimate restaurants serving great French meals. Hotel Le Six is a boutique 4-star hotel that caters to an international clientele and does so without compromising its Parisian character. It’s strength is at the Front Desk with a staff that speaks fluent English, French, German and I even heard some Dutch. Each person on duty, and there are often several at a time, serves as a concierge providing a high level of service suggesting local dining options, making reservations, calling taxis, giving directions, etc. Hotel Le Six is the place to stay in Paris.
We stayed at a different hotel (for budget reasons), but used the spa services at Hotel Le Six -- they were overall great! We (mom & I) each booked a 90-minute massage. It was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to find a spa that was open on a Sunday (my actual birthday), so I was thrilled to find them open (at a reasonably early time on a Sunday, no less - 10am). The spa rooms were nice. They did not play soothing music in the background, which surprised me. I've traveled many places in the world, and this was the first time I'd had a massage with no relaxing background music, but no big deal. The facilities were clean and comfortable. My mom had a massage table with a "face hole" so that when she was laying face-down it was comfortable. Mine did not. That is my ONLY complaint -- it really was not as relaxing as I had hoped because my neck what turned sideways and my shoulders were scrunched funny because my table did not have a "face hole."The hotel allowed us to use the hammam (steam room) for free after the massages, which was a nice way to further relax.Overall good quality for the price given the limited options on a Sunday.
I am a travel agent so I am tough on hotels. Chose this hotel because of location and other TripAdvisor recommendations. And it certainly lived up to its excellent reviews. Rooms were extremely clean and modern - nice size by European standards. Wonderful beds, linens and pillows, bathrooms. Wonderful breakfast room with large and diverse selection of food items. Front desk staff was knowledgeable and helpful in every respect. It is a small boutique hotel so it is quiet, unhurried and relaxing. Small business center available for printing out our boarding passes. Hotel manager came around at breakfast on our first morning to make sure we were enjoying our stay. This place is a gem by any standards.
