Our OpinionA very impressive and elegant hotel with marble entrance. Their Executive Suite on the 8th floor has an outdoor patio with amazing view - great for honeymooners!
A rather austere lobby, but it looks out over a lovely atrium where one can sit and enjoy a drink if the day is fine. Also looks down upon the lovely breakfast area where you can go in the morning and choose between an array of delicious food.
No washcloths in room. Had to request every day and many times more than once. Requested that a phone call be made about a previously booked tour. No call was ever made and no information given. The day that we had to get to the airport and be up at 5:30 AM, the requested phone call was not made to guests.
We had a suite on the sixth floor, and the accommodations there were great! Initially, the TV wasn't working, but management was quick to fix the problem. The view wasn't the best as we overlooked rooms of adjacent hotels but that didn't matter too much. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the big sights, and there are many restaurants/cafes on nearby streets. The breakfast, which came free with our room, was delicious, and both the kids and myself enjoyed the food. At one point, we missed our tour guide (our fault), and the hotel did not hesitate to call up the company and get us a spot on the next tour. Another note is that if you don't speak French, a taxi driver might not understand your accent, so keep the address of the hotel with you. We only stayed for a couple days this time but will surely book with this hotel again if we return to Paris.
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Le Littre at the end of our European vacation. The hotel is located near a main street named Blvd du Montparnasse that has many good restaurants and several convenience/grocery stores. It's about a 30 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and 30 to 45 minutes to The Louvre. I'll start with the bad:1) Heated towel rack in the bathroom did not work.2) Housekeeping did not provide washrags.3) One of the 110 volt outlets did not work.4) No alarm clock in the room. I had to call the front desk to get the local time.Lillian at the front desk was kind and helpful during check-in. Buffet breakfast was average with the exception of a good cheese selection (not surprising as this is France :) We ordered quiche and a goat cheese pizza from room service and both were quite good. My wife and I had visited Scotland, England and Ireland prior to arriving in Paris. All of the hotels in these countries did a better job of managing the small details than Hotel Le Littre. We will likely choose a different hotel when visiting Paris in the future.
Our overall experience in this hotel was great. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful attentive to our needs. The location is near the bus and subway stations, so our trips to the attractions were easily accessible.
