Hotel Magenta Paris
- What's Included
We chose to book Hotel Magenta for our first experience in Paris and for Valentines Day. The location is good, nice and central and good links to The Louvre, airport etc. We found the staff very helpful, all English speaking - Florian was very nice! The reception area of the hotel was nicely decorated - contemporary. We had booked a premium double room. The room was nicely decorated and we had a nice view of the bustling city below. However, we were a little disappointed that our bed was two singles pushed together - it didn't feel very intimate and we found as soon as we moved, the beds slipped on the laminate. We also did pay more for the 'premium' double room so to have two beds instead of the extra large bed as described was disappointing. We didn't complain. Furthermore the shower wasn't brilliant, not much power to it but this is a small detail. The wifi we found to be very good! We were able to watch Netflix on it. We had paid the city tax upon arrival in cash and on leaving, we were asked to pay it again. We didn't as we knew we had already paid it but I feel it should have been noted by the staff that it had been paid. Overall, we had a lovely stay. The location was very good and we found the area to be bustling and busy. The customer service in the hotel was good and the room was really nice, warm and safe. It would have been nice to have a proper double bed instead of the two singles but it wasn't too much of an issue. We would stay here again!
A diamond in the rough the hotel staff are brilliant so caring and helpful. The wifi not so great unfortunately and was hit and miss. The breakfast was lovely I'd definitely stay here again as there are restaurants and cafes very close
We booked a premium double room at the magenta 38, on arrival we realised they had just pushed 2 single beds together with a sheet on top.I went down to complain and she said we could get an upgrade free of charge but instead I requested a small cake and some champagne for my girlfriend as it was her birthday. As we checked out they had charged us for the champagne and cake and were going to charge us for an upgrade. When getting the manager out she was rude and no help in the slightest. Also, the wifi is non existent and the hotel is in a very 'scummy' area of ParisMy advise would be to stay well clear of this as it put a huge downer on our holiday....
We stayed for 2 nights 6th to 8th Feb in what i can only descibe as great hotel and extremley impressed, the lady on reception was first class is a real asset to Magenta 38. Likewise was the guy on hotel in the afternoon/evening. We felt welcomed at Magenta 38 and they accommodated our luggage before and after check in/out including my wives handbag with real pleasure so that we could see the rest of the city. It is an a prime location for all sites via the easy metro system. This will be a close memory to my heart which i will never forget and strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a trip to Paris
We booked this hotel midflight on our way to Paris. After figuring out the metro system we arrived early morning and found it to be in very close proximity to multiple metro stops. The staff were beyond accommodating and just happened to have a room available for early check in. The location was great with plenty of places to eat and cafés just down the street near Republique Square. The rooms are small just like most hotels in Paris. The windows open which was a huge plus. The shower had nearly no water pressure, but that was the only downside to this hotel that I could possibly find, but it was still not a big deal. There are fresh made croissants and other amenities available in the lobby for free. There's also a vending machine for other food. The common area has a kitchen table and lounging chairs equipped with plugs as well as an outdoor patio. Again I cannot say enough about the staff. Each shudder rotation brought a new wonderfully kind kind and helpful person that was full of information. Many of them spoke at least three languages. I usually stay at Marriott, Hilton, Doubletree, Radisson or similar hotels, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
