Our Opinion
A great choice for its quiet location, lovely park with vineyards and trails, and lots to do in the area. Next to the sports dome and library with 2 Metro lines nearby. Beautiful outdoor seating with flowers and gazebo. They offer connecting rooms and handicap rooms.
Overview
Part of the Accor chain, the Ibis Styles Paris Bercy is located in the new area of Bercy. Each room has been been renovated, the decor is modern and the reception area, spacious. Its typically Parisian restaurant, Le Bouchon, is both lovely and affordable. In the summer, a large terrace offers an ideal place to rest and relax. The vast public garden at the back of the hotel opens up to Bercy village, the new trendy area of the old 'Halle aux vins'. The Cours Saint Emilion, a pedestrian street surrounded by famous boutiques, is perfect for strolling. Various cinemas are also located here. The subway is a few meters away and the 14 line will take you, in just a few minutes, to Chatelet-les-Halles, the Madeleine and Place de la Concorde. You will also find some charming and affordable restaurants nearby.

Location: 12th district. Marais, Les Halles, Gare de Lyon.
Subway: Bercy

GOOD BUDGET HOTEL

This hotel is next to the Indoor Arena and an open park their are a number of different restaurants nearby. The hotel is good if you are on a budget and want to be close to the Arena. The rooms are basic but clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Their is a small bar with a large TV showing live sports etc. Breakfast is continental as you would expect and self service.

Woken by loud building work at 8:30am

This hotel is being renovated, and building work started at 8:30am with load hammering and then drilling from adjacent rooms. Until they finish this I suggest don't stay here if you want to sleep late or do any work in your room. There was also an unpleasant smell of fresh paint in the room, they were decorating the corridor (including painting the door frame to my room) and this may put some people off too.The hotel website claims the rooms have aircon, but this didn't work, we reported this to reception to be told it was switched off throughout the hotel till some future date. Even with the window open it was unpleasantly warm. The hotel website also claims the rooms have a safe deposit box in the room, mine didn't. On the last day I discovered the toilet was leaking onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise the hotel was ok. The room is very small with very little storage for clothes so you may find you're unable to unpack, and there's no desk (just a small tray on wheels big enough for a laptop) so may not suit some business travellers.

Good hotel for short visit

This hotel is ideal for a one or two day stay, although lack of storage space in the room would preclude a longer visit, unless one is prepared to use the suitcase as the clothes shelves. The staff were very polite, helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was excellent.

Great breakfast

The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast - a pleasant surprise, proper coffee and good bread. Otherwise normal, small room but comfortable bed. Pricey for what you get but convenient. There are plenty of restaurants around the area for dinner.

A hotel to avoid!

Our stay was ruined by a couple of things. The lady looking after the bar meals (restaurant closed all day Sundays in Paris?) was extremely rude, complaining she was working on her own. Stomping around like Basil Fawlty she insulted my wife by ignoring her several times and finding other things to do instead of serving us.We complained at the time but the receptionist did nothing. We booked a suite which was basic to say the least. Dirty toilet which made us want to vomit.Damp was so bad, there were thick black lines around the windows. Don't stay in this room if you have children! Room number is 819 on the top floor. Add all this to banging noises coming from the roof most of the night - avoid at all costs.
