Our OpinionA great choice for its quiet location, lovely park with vineyards and trails, and lots to do in the area. Next to the sports dome and library with 2 Metro lines nearby. Beautiful outdoor seating with flowers and gazebo. They offer connecting rooms and handicap rooms.
This hotel is relatively handy from Charles De Gaulle airport, you take the RER B to Chatelet Les Halles and then the metro line 14 to Bercy. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from Bercy metro and all major sights are easily accessible from here. The local are is nice as well with a park nearby and beautiful views of the Seine from a nearby bridge. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.Having read some reviews prior to going, we were worried about the quality of the hotel, however we were pleasantly surprised. The room looked as though it had been recently redecorated, with a quirky theme. The bed was very comfortable, however, we were only given one pillow each and one spare which meant that one of us had to sleep with only one pillow. The air conditioning worked perfectly which was appreciated as it was very hot during our stay. The wifi was very quick. The tv only had one English speaking channel. The bathroom was an average size. We were given shower gel/soap however both were nearly empty and never got topped up or replaced. The shower head did not stay in position so made showering awkward. There was a lot of grime around the rim of the toilet which was unsightly. There were plenty of towels that were replaced daily. Breakfast ran from 7 - 10 am and was a continental style breakfast. There was a wide variety of choice including a choice of cereal, bread selection, cheeses, ham, yoghurt, juices, hot drinks, fruit, croissants and conserves. While we were a little disappointed that there was no hot food, we were expecting it. There is entertainment every Thursday out the back of the hotel in the Papa Cabane. The music is quite loud but only runs until 11 pm so didn't affect us much. However, if you're wanting to go to sleep early I'd suggest getting a room on the other side of the hotel. The staff on reception were friendly and well presented. They run a 'convenience corner' from 10 am to 10 pm next to reception where you can get water and hot drinks for free. Overall I would return to this hotel if I visit Paris again.
The paintings in the room are inappropriate and the dining set up is a bit bizarre looking like computer tables however the dinner was great but breakfast was limited. The rooms are quite small; just enough space to fit your bags. Not a great location.
The decor is a little unusual but clean, tidy and comfortable. Stayed here as we were going to a concert in the Arena next door and it was a perfect location. Metro station at the end of the street for visiting Paris sights and plenty of bars and restaurants right outside the door. Breakfast was a little basic but plenty of it. Room comfortable and clean, bathroom a little cramped but sufficient. Staff friendly and helpful. Will be staying again if visiting Paris.
I am becoming increasingly fond of this budget hotel chain. Not quite sure why - probably because the bit of zest they they add to the hotel experience.Staff are friendly, and somewhat hip. The hotel design and layout follows a similar theme - here there lots of paintings and murals, in a banksy / semi-graffiti style. Much more interesting than your normal boring hotel layout. The location here is good - right beside the metro, with good connections to the transport network, and also right beside Bercy mainline train and intercity bus destination.Breakfast is included in the price, and offers decent quality continental buffet fare.Rooms are a bit on the small side (in fact, very small), but sleep quality is ok. And the bathroom is reasonable quality.Price? Remember - this is Paris, so everything is relative. One of the most expensive cities in Europe! Why? Because Parisiens think they're worth it. They're not, actually.
I stayed two nights on a business trip. The rooms are very small and there is hardly any storage space. The drains in the bathroom smelt. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was music playing outside in the evenings until around 11pm which I could hear on the 8th floor. The breakfast is completely buffet style with no service at all. This does have the advantage of enabling you to have a fast breakfast. There is a reasonable choice of pastries, cold meat and cheeses, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. There was free WiFi but it was very slow and not really usable. The location was good being close to the Metro and Gare de Lyon. The hotel is reasonably priced for Paris.
