Very convenient, but pretty basic

Very small room, but we only needed a base to rest our weary bones after full days of sightseeing and walking. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Not a great variety at breakfast, but masses of it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will return to Paris later in the year and will use the same hotel.

Budget Hotel. Great Value.

Just returned from Paris, using the Ibis. Gare de I'Est landonas a base.It is perfectly positioned for train and metro lines to cheaply andquickly get around the Capital. The rooms are basic but containing everything a guest would need.Cleaned to a high standard every day and towels changed daily.Hot water is plentiful but not on an afternoon, when it was non-existent, in our room, 612. Despite being on a high floor we neverhad to wait for a lift. Plus: we could see the Eiffel Tower from ourwindow. Great when it is lit up after dark.Breakfast is provided within the price and is surprisingly good.Sleep quality was great despite being right next to a huge train station,the double glazed window blocked out most of the noise.There was air con but it is doubtful if it would cool the room on ahot day.Staff are pleasant and helpful, except the lady who was on nightduty last night who was supposed to give us a 6am wake up calland DID NOT. She made things worse by blaming the system.Luckily, we used the alarm on the phone as a back up. Trains to and from CDG Airport are frequent and inexpensive. Weelected to take a return shuttle bus at a reasonable price.Hotel staff arranged this and it arrived absolutely on time.If you are looking for luxury, go somewhere else. However,the Ibis, Landon certainly treats guests better than many 'better' hotels we've been it.

Convenient, well run, no-frills hotel

This was perfect as a base from which to spend a weekend exploring Paris. Clean, functional rooms with fun decor. The windows did a good job of cutting out noise from the trains (our room overlooked the tracks coming in to gare de l'est which actually meant it was nice and bright in the room, not being shaded or overlooked by other buildings). We arrived at gone midnight and the staff were welcoming and ready for us on reception, so that we were able to go straight up to our room. Breakfast was available for a long time window and had a good selection; staff were always on hand topping up food and crockery etc. Location wise, the hotel is right next door to chateau Landon metro station and an easy 10 minute walk round the corner to gare du nord (where you can get the RER train to Charles de Gaulle airport and also pick up the big bus tour).

Just Okay

The stay was just okay. I had high expectation from ibis - based on my previous experience of stay in 3 ibis hotels in 3 different cities in 3 different countries. Instead what I experienced is briefly as following.- Room was not spacious enough- Room had a look of old furnishing, found some small stains/defects what I never expected from an international brand like ibis- The bathroom was also just okay, the water pressure was low, took long to fill the bathtub, could not understand how to drain it, the water was continuously draining from the bathtub, from the locked basin waste hole- The soap tubes were very hard to press and also located unsuitably high, those were supposed to soft and gentle, fitted just above the basin top level and the bathtub top level- The most disappointing was the breakfast menu, very little choice of food and drinks, no fruit, only one type of salami, no spread, no egg, waiters at the breakfast area don't speak English too- The most efficient and courteous place was the reception, stuffs were very helpful and warm and most importantly they speak good English, we got an excellent service at very early morning @4AM to be served with some fresh hot croissants while we were leaving, thanks to that guy, can not recall his name thoughOverall, the experience was not quite unsatisfactory at the end than at the beginning.

The Worst hotel in the world!!!

We stayed there 5 days in February and we paid 500euros.Our room was awful, our towels and pillows was dirty and when we asked how often do you change it, they told us that we do not change it only we fold it and we put the same.But the worst thing was that we gave them some clothes only to wash it and we paid 250EUROS just for 2 jeans, 4 T-shirt and 6 pair of socks. For the same clothes 6 days before we had paid in England only 10pounds. The only thing that was good there was the breakfast nothing else. NOBODY GOES THERE!!!!
