Melia Alexander Boutique Hotel
- What's Included
As always with Melia my stay in Paris was wonderful. The city that you visit can be bad but if you stay at a Melia Hotel the stay will be great at least the time that you are in the hotel, that is my experience. In this case Paris is fantastic, so wonderful hotel and fantastic city I can just say that it is 100% recommended experience bot Melia Paris Champs Elysees and the city of Paris. The Hotel is very elegant comfortable with a great breakfast buffet. and really very well placed so it is and excellent plan to stay at Melia Paris Champs Elysees if you visit Paris.
We stayed here for four nights as part of our Europe honeymoon. The hotel itself was nice but the elevator is tiny! If you are claustrophobic you better use the stairs. There's a small sign outside but could be easy to miss. The staff was also very kind and helpful. Our room was a good size and we had a tiny view of the Eiffel Tower, but still was neat. We had a little trouble getting the wifi to work but figured it out. We never ate breakfast here so we can't comment on that. The neighborhood is full of shops and restaurants which was great and if you have to there is a Starbucks down the road. It was about a 10-15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower and about the same to the Arc De Triomphe, maybe a bit longer. The hotel is also close to the subway but we never took advantage of that. I would stay here again, but I think if we returned to Paris we would stay somewhere along the river as that is where most of the tourist things are by.
What made our experience here most enjoyable was the friendly, helpful staff. They were very helpful when we needed to arrange for a taxi to take us to the airport. The hotel was very clean and in a good neighborhood. We felt very safe and well cared for.
The rooms are very small. More like cupboards than rooms. Having said that the service is not bad. The staff are always amicable and helpful. Breakfast is also not bad. We were served by the lovely Victoria and Maria on all three days we were there and they ensured we were looked after. We found the hotel to be clean and the location quite convenient for restaurants, and a lovely Bakery/ cafe down the road called Bechu. There are also loads of lovely clothes shops nearby and a beautiful street full of fresh veg, cheese -and chocolate shops nearby. Travel to tourist locations such as Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees will not cost more that €7 in a taxi. The taxi ramp is just down the road.So a nice find overall the place is like a little French pastry, Little but lovely :)
My room didnt have working air con and therefore room was very stuffy. I opened the windows slightly but very noisy traffic outside. I then got a chest infection the next day from I believe to be the room.
