Melia Alexander Boutique Hotel
- What's Included
Myself and my now fiancé decided to stay at this hotel as it looked really nice and modern plus it had a great location - quiet area but not too far away from the Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the hotel reception staff, who were mortified by the fact we had just been ripped off by a private taxi that had drove us up from Orly airport (120 euros!!) so they could tell we had not had the greatest start to our first Paris experience! After showing us the room we had booked into we felt it was too small, so we managed to upgrade to one of the rooms at the front and top floor of the building, which actually had a view of the Eiffel Tower! The room was much larger - it was perfect! We had a lovely 4 night stay and treated ourselves to a continental breakfast on the last morning, which was delicious.A huge thank you to the receptionists including Cesar who was very helpful and knowledgeable... they helped make our visit much more enjoyable. We will always remember our Paris trip especially getting engaged on the Eiffel Tower on New Year's Day!
Business trip to Paris was very good and smoothly, the weather was around 0 degree, a little foggy but it wasn't a problem for me. I have free time to went walking to the Eiffel Tower and I saw this famous landmark
First time at the Melia Champs Elysees, but not first time at a Melia in Paris. The location was new for us but it was good. Not close too tourists spots much but a great way to discover a new part of town. The hotel is nice, a small boutique hotel. Simple yet with everything you need and a great service. The neighbourhood is alive with locals. Starbucks a few doors down, lots of restaurants and grocery store on the corner. Several children clothing stores and boutiques around. Very busy area yet with a residential feel. It's a 20 mins walk from the top of the Champs Elysee : Arc de Triomphe, so it's accessible by airport shuttle bus, taxis and easy to stroll to the river and Eiffel Tower or place de la Concorde.
Very good. Very good hotel, excellent location. On the down side no restaurant and the breakfast was little divers. Good hotel for romantic getaway in Paris. Located at walking distance from Tour Eiffel and Champs Elysees.
I stayed at this hotel for a week in early December. It is a solid, 4-star hotel in a perfect location in Paris. The location could not be more ideal. You can easily walk to the Trocodero (best views of the Eiffel Tower), or the Victor Hugo underground station. The Arc de Triomphe is reasonable walking distance as well. The staff was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The room was very tiny, and (as is common in every hotel I've been to in Europe) I did find the bed, linens, and toilet paper to be uncomfortable, however it was tolerable and the shower was very luxurious. The best part of this hotel was the breakfast. I paid a little extra to get the daily breakfast and it was so worth it. It included all kinds of lunch meats and cheeses, as well as different kinds of bread, bacon, sausage, something like scrambled eggs but slightly different, and lots of different breads, pastries, and more. I had a huge breakfast and was able to save money by having a light lunch and dinner every day. Overall I highly recommend this hotel, but bring your own toilet paper, and the sheets are very scratchy so wearing pajamas is helpful as well.
