Mercure Montmartre Sacre Coeur has works of art from famous Montmartre painters hanging on every floor. Twin rooms are a good size with large window and views of Paris. Also feature 2 connecting rooms per floor.
We stayed 3 nights for our honeymoon.we booked through booking.com and through the soecial requirements box i asked for a ‘high floor and quiet room’ since we were on our honeymoon.neither request was met.we were given a room on the 3rd floor and there was no view whatsoever. For our booked room category we could have been given a room up to the 7th floor. The room itself was small and was facing an ugly parking building.there was a single free 500 ml bottle of water for 2 people for the length of our stay.wifi was good.location close to place de clichy metro station.we stayed for 3 nights.day 2 and 3 the toilet was clogged because it was problematic and we had to call maintenace everyday!not really ideal for honeymoon either!!!we had this problem twice and they didnt offer to give us another room.day 3 we left for our wedding photoshooting at 8 am and left a paper outside the door for the room to be cleaned.got back at 11.30 am really tired and the room was still not cleaned and the toilet still blocked.NOT nice! The receptionists were kind and willing to help.they spoke english and tried to solve our everyday problems but the facilities are old...
The hotel is beautiful, wonderful facilities in both the public areas and the guest rooms, our room has a view of the Secre Coeur and the roof tops of Paris. It's in a great position and close to the metro. We've stayed in several hotels in Paris and this is now by far our favourite. Also I can't say enough good things about the staff, they are all totally helpful and friendly.
We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting Paris for part of our honeymoon. The hotels decor was modern and our room was a good size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern (if a little on the small side). The staff were very friendly. The location is perfect for all the main sightseeing we wanted to do, 20 minutes metro ride got you to most places. The hotel is near some fab restaurants, and we took a lovely walk to the Sacre Couer one afternoon. Ideally located for those visiting the Moulin Rouge as the hotel is roughly 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay at the hotel again if returning to Paris.
Part of the Accor Hotel chain (Mercure). Probably mid-range (i.e 3/4 stars ?). Hotel is neat and clean. Breakfast was excellent: huge variety (multiple sorts of pastries, multiple sorts of bread, multiple sorts of cereals, fresh fruits, fresh salad fruit, 3-4 sorts of cheeses, ham, coocked breakfast also available (scrambled eggs, eggs for you to cook, sausages, bacon etc ...), fresh juices, various sorts of coffees (nespresso, or beams), teas etc etc .... Room comfort, OK. I found our bed a little bit hard personally. Toilet separate from the bathroom. Good shower. Can be a bit noisy at night: lots of cafés / night clubs near by. Although, I didn't get disturbed by the noise.4 star rating: because bed wasn't as comfy as I'd hope for (the main let down for me), price: 2 nights for 2 people (all inclusive, included 4 breakfasts): 273 Euros for a Fri/Sat in November, and slow check in / check out (You can do this online though !)Location is good though: 15mn walk from the Sacre Choeur by foot, 25mn walk to Gare Du Nord, and plenty of bars around, or restaurants easily accessible (tube round the corner anyway).
The room was small but had everything we needed. I travelled with my sister and we both loved the design of the hotel. It's very pretty. Our room was comfortable with two twin beds and we each had our own little nightstand and lamp. There are black-out curtains on the windows, which isn't a big deal to me, but my sister really appreciated. our room had a little fridge and small sitting area so we could have some snacks in our room. The bathroom is small as others have noted but it had everything we needed. In contrast with a much more expensive hotel I stayed in on a later trip with my husband, our Mercure Montmartre hotel had plenty of room for our luggage. The hotel is on a busy street, which I guess is good to know if you're extremely sensitive to noise. But I mean, it's Paris. It was awesome to be able to step out of our hotel and walk to most of the places we wanted to see. There's a metro nearby, plenty of cafes and shops within a short walk. The Montmartre cemetery is a block away and is an amazing place to visit. The walk up to Sacre Coeur is a bit of a hike, but there's a lot to see and do along the way. I was recovering from an illness so I didn't have as much energy as usual, but we were still able to walk to the Opera district to do some shopping at Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. Check-in was very easy. The lobby doesn't have a check-in desk in the traditional sense, there are people there with ipads ready to check you in and point you to maps etc right in the lobby. It was totally painless and no waiting. I would choose this hotel again. It's very clean and modern and friendly.
