Mercure Montmartre Sacre Coeur has works of art from famous Montmartre painters hanging on every floor. Twin rooms are a good size with large window and views of Paris. Also feature 2 connecting rooms per floor.

Clean, fresh, and most importantly, quiet

Just around the corner from the Moulin Rouge and a happening bar scene, the hotel either had thick walls or we were high enough (7th floor) not to hear it. It's nice to walk around the corner to get some sleep (and not pay for a taxi). A metro station was also nearby. The continental breakfast included crepes with jam and croissants; as an American I had been looking forward to eating both regularly in Paris.

bad hotel management

We spent 2 nights in this hotel in december 2016. The hotel is average. We had a very bad experience when we ordered the transportation to the airport Orly at the reception. We got a voucher for this transportation from the hotel and we were picked up in time. During the ride we recognized that the driver from "Start shuttle Paris" drove to the wrong airport. He organized another car for us but we failed our flight! Of course we had to spend 1 night more in Paris, had to change the airport and to organize a new flight for the next day. And each of us missed the next working day! We informed immediately the hotel and "Start shuttle Paris" about the troubles. After some e-Mails the hotel told us that 1/2 of the additional costs will be paid by the hotel and the rest will be paid by "StarT shuttle Paris". But till today we got no payment from both of them! We are very upset!

Convenient Location

The hotel is close to Place de Clichy metro, note not all exits have an escalator. It is next to an Ibis hotel. Our 6th floor room gave us a floodlit view of Sacre Coeur at night. Our package included breakfast, there is a comprehensive selection of cereals, breads, and continental food spread out in several places. Pleasant staff who worked hard. We were glued to the TV screen there showing Mr Macron's Inauguration. The nearest tea to English Breakfast is Big Ben or byo. Front of house staff stand at separate stations and were helpful. Clean rooms with the toilet separate in a small cubicle by the door (we are average size). No drawers to place clothes for our 4 night stay so asked for more hangers which came promptly. Our Superior room had minimal toiletries, a bar of soap and a fixed gel dispenser. There is a small gym with good equipment. Cross the road outside and descend steps to enter the tranquil cemetery with many famous names in residence. An Accor hotel convenient for the area. Some drilling in rooms nearby on 2 afternoons. Check out my Montmartre restaurant choice.

Rude Staff

Been staying at Mercure hotels around the world and it was my first time for this hotel and by far was the worst experience. Checked in on May 2nd and the staff wasn't very welcoming, they made me said there while they were having coversation for about 5 mins before helping me. As my room included breakfast, I went to the 1st floor restaurant with my laptop to try and do some work while I was having breakfast but right after I finished my plate and still having my coffee, I was asked to leave. They told me they need the table for other customers. They never asked if I was finished eating or if I even finished my coffee. I found this VERY rude. How did they know that I didn't want a second plate? How did they know I didn't want some fruit or yogurt? Basically told me to leave because I was using my laptop but as far as I could see, there were so many other EMPTY tables. I was very peeved and did not go back for breakfast again. Other than that, the hotel is well situated with many restaurants nearby, 5 mins to the subway and Moulin Rouge but there are many gypsies and black men around asking if you want a ride for cheaper rate than taxi. I found my room quite hot for May, they still had the heat on and didn't have air con so I had to open the window and it was very noisy all hours of the day. I was there for 5 nights and I don't think I would come again..........

Lovely Hotel

Nice modern hotel that wasn't far from anything, transport and food outlets near by, excellent location and the decor was nice. Everything looked new and refurbished. My room was not ready when i got there but was upgraded to a better room without asking, staff were friendly and spoke English even though i was attempting french. NIce.
