We stayed at the Hotel Mercure Montmartre on 3/25-3/26/2017.The hotel is very centrally located and close to the metro station. The rooms are modern and clean and the breakfast buffet was very good. The Main Street that the hotel is located on is very touristy and has lots of restaurants, but if you venture a couple of streets behind the hotel, you will find many local restaurants, cafes, and shops.I would highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed in March of 2017. Really great location. Rooms are a little small, but clean and have modern feel. Little mini fridge and pot for heating water. Nice breakfast room. The patio bar wasn't open for the season yet, but looked nice. There is so much to see in Paris that we did'nt spend much time in our rooms; i rather put a premium on the location.
It's a very clean hotel. Very nice and attractive room. I love my room and gladly would come back. Though some don't speak English, they don't bother to ask you if they can assist you in some ways especially the housekeeper.
Stayed here 4 nights, check in was friendly with the staff speaking good English. The location is perfect! Having no real idea what to expect on my first visit to Paris, this hotel made it easy with a great location, easy access to restaurants, shops and site seeing. The front of the hotel is also very accessible for pickups for organized shuttles and tours. The room was very clean & comfortable with good air conditioning and the free wifi worked well. My room was very quiet which was great for a good nights sleep. If there was a negative, it would be the shower over the bath with the glass screen and leaking water although I didn't let this ruin my stay.Enjoyed my stay and would happily return to this hotel.
After a ten mile hike around the airport (Charles de Gaulle), eventually found the exit and asked where the metro station was situated. Should have cost us 12 Euros to get to hotel but, unfortunately, the metro was closed down for the day (still unsure why) so, 50 Euros later and a scary taxi ride!!! arrived at hotel.First impression - lovely, clean hotel but no staff in foyer for at least 10 minutes.Room (on 6th floor) very clean but not a great view. Very noisy if you open the window but Paris is 'loud' so understandable.Beds very hard and extremely uncomfortable. Shower good but bath very bouncy - thought it was going to give way. Shower screen useless, floor was soaked. Fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and milk in room but no normal tea and only paper cups!Breakfast was good, cereals, bread, cakes, sausage, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, fruit and bacon available along with hot drinks and juices.Location excellent for the Moullin Rouge show (5 minute walk). This is where we also caught the open top buses, metro and the little train. (Metro - Blanche). This area has plenty of bars and restaurants and 'sex shops'!!!! (Made us laugh!).Sadly a lot of people (and families) sleeping rough and begging day and night.Well lit and crowded. Never made to feel uncomfortable.Ultimately a great hotel to base yourself at if you want to tour Paris. We saw everything in 2 days!
