Breakfast non continental really French, but just enough choice. No restaurant. A few own parkingspaces (2) in a nearby parking. 3 times a week local market in front of the hotel (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday)
Paris synonymous with love is the first thing that comes to anyone's mind. We stayed in Paris for 6 nights and I chose this hotel for its proximity to the centre of Paris and the mix of a choice of budgeted places to eat.The concept of 4 star accommodation has completely baffled me as we expect not only a certain standard of room but also a level of service. Unfortunately on the service front it feels more like a budget ibis. The other thing is if you book through travel websites, other than Accor website the choice of rooms are the tiniest of the lot. No 2 rooms are of the same size, we changed 3 rooms, as one of the rooms the safe was not working, the second room did not have enough space for our suitcases and finally we had to compromise on the size of the bathroom, which is probably the tiniest bathroom I have used in a 4 star rated hotel. The lobby is nice and bright with a very utilitarian feel to it. It has a small cafe with seating for not more than 6 people. But with quite steep prices. Definitely 4 star prices 😁We did not opt for breakfast as an inclusion and rightly so as the choice for vegetarians at a cost of 18 euros was negligible. To reach the dining room is like going through "Alice in Wonderland " not recommended for someone who does not like closed spaces. There are a lot of nice cafes close to the hotel. It's a lively street on which the hotel is situated, with a farmers market right on the same side as the hotel. This is great as you can pick some freshly baked bread, flavoured baguettes and a host of fruit and nuts. We stocked up our pockets before we left for sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel for its connectivity, location, cleanliness. But definitely a 3 star hotel not a 4 star as advertised.
The hotel was conveniently located. The check in was easy and room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The beds were comfy. We awoke to a lovely farmer's market on Sunday morning outside the hotel. There were lots of different stalls selling cheese, produce, meats, bread, seafood, lots of neat things.
I stayed there for one night only - he service is ok, the rooms are clean and modern; however, a bit small. The best thing about this hotel is its location. it is near a metro which will get you to wherever you need to get to. And what fascinated us the most was a bakery a couple of blocks away - the place had such amazing pastries! Also, we happen to be there on a Sunday - when they have a farmers market like thing. There not only a ton of fresh fruits and vegetables available to purchase, but there's even raw/cooked fish and meet, different types of cheese, pastries, clothes, carpets, olive oils, wines, etc. This was such a wonderful surprise for us. we got to see many locals pas by to purchase goods early in the morning and joined them
The prices were what you expect for a Mercure in Paris. the room was relatively clean, the breakfast room was ok, even though it's underground.( which is quite common in Paris). we had an issue with our reservation that didn't go through properly in their system and it took them a little time to find it back. which was fine so far (technical issues happens) But the main issue here was the manager, a horrible woman that really didn't have any customer service skills. screaming from her office behind the reception. not carring for the guests or even her own staff. since me and my partner speak french we understood that she said "it's their fault, they don't know how to make a reservation online. let them call their agency, it's not our problem, etc" Anyway, the receptionnist was on the other side really helpful with directions and sightseeing during the entire stay, an Italian young man. the hotel was fully renovated and clean. the accor card offers good deals and even complementary drink from the bar that the hotel has. definitely will not come back mainly for the horrible management. definitely need to work on that or many guest will not come back either.
