great views

i stayed here using adjoining rooms. The hotel rooms are quite dirty and shabby. Definitely does not deserve the rating it has. The views are stunning and it right near to the eiffel tower. Was worth the stay just for the views.

great,stay excellent location

we spent 2 nights here and were very happy. The room was spacious and clean. the location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to a lot of attractions. we found the staff all very helpful and nice. Breakfast was nice and there was a lot of variety of choices. If I return to Paris I would definitely stay here again,

Reasonable rates for Paris, but not sure it deserves a 4* listing

We stayed for the weekend with our two young daughters. First, the positives:- friendly staff- 15 minute child-pace walk to metro/Eiffel Tower- fabulous view over river Seine (ask for a high floor and river view - no rooms have Eiffel Tower views). - swimming pool - tiny, but good for kids to splash about- table football/computer table in Lobby for kids - free gift for kids- wide ranging buffet breakfast, incl cook your own eggs section for fried/omelette etc. - children sleep/eat breakfast for free with fare-paying adult Then the less good;- room tiny - with sofa bed down, it reaches the desk! - bathroom could do with updating - hot elements at breakfast were not even lukewarm (notwithstanding cook-your-own eggs!). All in all, after much searching for reasonable family accommodation, it is the location that swings it for this particular Novotel, rather than the quality. We've stayed in Novotel before, but this one seems to be trading on brand reputation rather than delivering what loyal Novotel customers might expect.

Improvements needed.

Generally the staff were polite. The concierge member of staff at check in was very friendly but I was annoyed when I checked out that the hotel had charged me for a breakfast even though I had already paid online when I had booked. The concierge staff removed the second charge of breakfast off my bill but was apologetic or friendly unlike the polite person who I checked in with.Room Service: I ordered room service and told room service I when I was ordering I would pay with cash. When the food arrived the member of staff didn't have any change and seemed annoyed that he had come back with some change and never said thank you either. The food I ordered arrived cold !!!Swimming Pool: The changing rooms were absolutely filthy and another guest had told the staff about the changing rooms before I went swimming and after three quarters of a hour swimming they still had not been cleaned. Also for some unusual reason you have to wear swimming trunks - swimming shorts are not allowed.I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel and will be looking at other hotels next time I visit Paris.

Still a great hotel although starting to look tired in places

First, I'd like to thank the hotel reception to allow us to have late check out leaving the hotel at 4pm.We had stayed at the hotel two years previously and it is now starting to look tired in places. It was a very busy weekend at the hotel, a tad busy for us.Cocktails were great in the bar. Breakfast is very busy and you sometimes have to queue but good selection. You can't beat the hotel for location.10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and 2 minutes from a shopping street. One word of warning - when getting a cab from Orly, we went to the taxi rank and were overcharged by a rogue taxi driver (con artist) and ended up paying euro 70. If getting a cab make sure its a Taxi Parisian! There's a set fee of euro 30. Put a dampener on the start of our holiday.
