Wouldn't recommend. Shower runs mainly cold. Mould in bathroom and shower. No hotel info in room & a pathetic attempt at tea and coffee facilities. No iron and 3rd bed a foldout with a stained mattress. TV showing no movies or shows in English
We had stayed in another Novotel while in Zurich and frankly it has been a totally different experience. In this Novotel Paris, the service has been poor in comparaison with the one in Zurich...To begin with, the room furnishing quality seemed poor to me. You can see in the picture that the floor carpets need replacement or better cleaning. The staff does not seem to care for the "do not disturb" note. They will still get in or ask you when they see you if they still could get in despite the sign of not to disturb... donno may be it's the English...While I can understand cleaners in Paris are not expected to understand English... I still don't comprehend how many if not most of the staff in Reception and restaurant don't speak good English or Can help a tourist with English. For a big hotel chain, they need to train their French staff to practice English. Unacceptable to have to look around in a hotel for someone to help you out explain to the reception. I speak French but I witnessed how they were rude to tourists who don't speak French.Rudeness, it's a French quality I guess...I think the staff need to have more trainings about good manners in a Global context and about customer service and quality of service. Simply, the staff is not helpful enough or as expected.Luckily when you speak French you get lots of assistance. But it would be more appreciated to be able to help others who don't speak French the same way... if not better. Now the restaurant: the food was BORING. No variety. They don't serve you anything to your table even when you ask. The chef doesn't cook anything. They have a new concept: cook your own egg. Where they put a cooking station... I wonder how safe is that. Not mentioning cleanness...If you wish for an omelette for example, you need to go around the stations collect the ingredients, cut what needs to be cut yourself and attempt to cook an omelette because the chef won't do it and you eventually end up frying an egg like everybody is doing. No choice. ð³ . Or wonder why you are staying in a hotel instead of renting with airbnb and cook for yourself ....I'd give them zero for quality of service in the restaurant for breakfast. Outside there is a copy of the freedom Statuette offered to the US so you can compensate the poor service and food of the hotel restaurant by taking pix...Also the hotel is near the real replica across in La Seine right in front of hotel.Location wise, the hotel is in a prime location, walking distance from Eiffel Tower.Overall, I rate it average thanks to the location.PS: note that access to the lobby can be tricky if you are with kids and loaded with strollers and suitcases and you gotta carry all yourself, no one offers to help you go upstairs from the entrance in order to check in etc. Bell captain??? You can wait...Anyway, I hope they improve their services up to the international standards ( look at hotel services in Asia for instance...) or at least like their branch in Zurich...
Stayed at this hotel twice whilst doing a tour. The taps in the shower and drainage is terrible. Paper cups to make coffee and heaven forbid you need more then 2 tiny milk sachets as you are out of luck. Check out time is 12 midday but we had a room attendant let herself into our room before 9am while we were still getting dressed for the day, no apology at all. Also turn aircon off around 9am so you cant bear to be in the room any longer and check out early. Escalator broken down and when working makes terrible roaring noise. Location is the only thing going for it.
Rooms furniture could be much better as the fitted carpets are worn out, furniture is old. Bit over priced for service provided. House keeping service should be faster not after several calls. Excellent location.
This hotel is a tourist factory - the atmosphere makes you feel at an airport. The staff is nice but the room was disappointing (the bathroom especially was old and partly broken. Plus, the breakfast is far from the level expected (god the viennoiserie were plastic !)
