Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel

We chose this hotel as it has secure on-site paid parking. The downside is that all luggage has to be taken up the huge escalator, so if you have a lot or are not used to escalators you need to make a couple of trips. Also our bathroom was very compact as it had a separate bath & shower which was great, but you had to make sure the door was closed as it overlapped the shower. Aircon in room & around hotel excellent. The bar has a terrace overlooking the Seine & you can have continental breakfast there, plus light snacks during the day. During the evening we chose a cheese & cold meat platter which was perfect. Also a separate restaurant serving full breakfast & lunch/dinner. In addition there is the Japanese restaurant Benkay. The hotel is within short walking distance of the Eiffel Tour & the Paris Metro and is right next door to large shopping Mall. The hotel is very large, with several rooms overlooking the Seine.
We stayed at here because of the location and previous stays at other Novotel Hotel's.First the positives. The location is pretty good. You can walk to the Eiffel Tower in about 10 minutes. There is a shopping mall next door with a good supermarket for stocking up on essentials. The views are nice from the higher floors and while we were there we were lucky enought to see the Bastille Day fireworks from the lawn in fron of the hotel. The negatives. Our room was a bit musty and there was a lingering smell in the toilet. The shower room flooded badly as the was no seal around the bottom of the door. I notified the front desk about this but nothing was done during our stay so we went through a lot of towels! The lifts tended to stall on occassion or would skip floors. The breakfast buffet was a bit of a mess with dishes often running out and not being re-filled for some time. The labels on one of the coffee machines was incorrectly labelled leading to a mass of discarded drinks all around. The hotel was very busy at the time of our stay so it's understandable some things couldn't be perfect. Although we will probably stay somewhere else on our next trip to Paris.
The hotel is 10-15 min. walk from Eiffel tower and is near to shopping area - malls and local shops. We (my wife, 6yr old kid and I) arrived early abt 11am but couldnt get check-in. Also the front desk was not well versed to assign us a room at the check-in time of 2pm saying the room is not ready yet.. checkin is not at 2pm it means after 2pm (so we could be given a room at 10pm as well). After a few checks he gave us room finally. Now about room, at fifth floor, a tiny room for 3. The sofa bed takes the walkable space of the room. Bathroom is small too and water from shwer clogs in it (no outlet), which was wiped off/soacked next morning.Breakfast is nice, good lobby with few games to keep kiddo engaged. wifi is fastThe location of hotel is nearby to metro stations, bus stops so here it gets some plus. There are better stay options near the metro station "bir hakem" with many eating outlets, indian restaurant and stores.Though, in Paris we are not supposed spend time in hotel room so somethings can be adjusted. The hotel management should carefully look for drainage at-least.
The reception area feels stylish although the staff were cold. You soon see as you climb into the lift this hotel is absolutely vast! Hotel room was comfortable enough but the rooms do need updating a bit. Breakfast was chaotic, so busy. Didn't use the pool.Reasonable transport links but it's a good old walk to the Eiffel Tower.Hotel was a bit corporate and feel there are nicer places (better value too) to stay in Paris.
This hotel is far around 10 minutes walking from Eiffel Tower, so, it's easy to go it straight away without missing the road. The room was small for 2 persons inspite of the fact we paid two nights around 730 Euro. It's pricy enough to stay there. The service is very good as the staff were friendly and courteous as well.
