Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg
- What's Included
My wife, baby daughter, and I spent 8 fine nights in a junior suite at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg. This hotel is in a terrific location, is beautifully appointed, and gets an "A for effort". However, it might have actually tried a bit too hard. Very frequent visits to our room - always with the best of intentions (e.g. bringing little surprise gifts, offering to clean the room, etc.) but never at a convenient time (i.e. when our daughter was taking a nap) - became a bit of a disturbance. My wife finally needed to say something to hotel management after someone burst into our room while the "do not disturb" sign was out and she was breastfeeding our daughter...Otherwise, our experience at the Sofitel Paris was great:+ Safe. Besides being located in a very upscale part of Paris, the armed police guarding the stretch of Boissy d'Anglas that the hotel is located on made us feel safe. + Quiet. Our room was located in a quiet corner of the hotel where we never heard any other guests, street noise, hallway chatter, etc. We also didn't have to worry about our daughter disturbing anyone else.+ Thoughtful service. On almost a daily basis, there were little surprises in our room that ranged from fresh fruit, to macarons, to baby slippers and toiletries for our daughter. Upon arrival, we were also presented with a stuffed animal rabbit for our daughter which she loved. The staff in this hotel mean really well.+ Good (if a bit expensive) restaurant, bar and in-room dining. The restaurant is located in a beautiful interior courtyard, and the service is extremely warm and friendly. The soups are especially tasty. Be prepared to spend a minimum of EUR75 for every meal, however, even if it is a light one. With limited "cheap" dining options in the area around the hotel, and take-out / delivery not being a very big thing in Paris, be prepared to spend an extra EUR1000/week on various things at the Sofitel.+ Beautiful and spacious room. The junior suite is perfect for a family of 3 like ours. There was sufficient space for the crib in addition to the king sized bed, and we did not even use the pullout couch - but easily could have and would have had space to spare. One neat feature was the multitude of doors between the bedroom, the bathroom and the main door, which really helped to minimize noise (good for sleeping babies!)One pointer if you are staying at this hotel for an extended period of time like us - there is a laundromat near Vendome that is quite convenient and a much more economical option than doing basic laundry in the hotel. It's a 15 minute walk away, and could save you a couple hundred Euros over the course of a week.Overall, we are very pleased to have chosen the Sofitel for our family trip to Paris. If we return, we will tell the hotel staff up front that we don't need such high-touch service.
Our mixed family of 10 stayed for a few nights before and after a barge trip to Burgandy. We had 4 rooms for each stay, and they were wonderfully appointed. Whenever we needed anything, the staff was immediately responsive. Every detail was well thought out and wonderfully executed. We were impressed with the design of the rooms, the quietness and the comfort. The location is perfect for walking to all the most famous sites in the city. It is adjacent to the American Embassy, so the security on the street is not subtle, but a bit comforting. It is in the heart of the luxury shopping district for those of us who enjoy a splurge.Whenever we visit Paris in the future, we will stay in this hotel.Merci!
Really chic, comfortable and beautiful Sofitel property. I loved my room, the bed, amenities (Hermes toiletries, nespresso machine, great tea etc. in the room). The restaurant was fantastic. Do have a meal there. Staff were wonderful and the location is great. I usually stay in the third or the fourth arrondissement when traveling to Paris for leisure. However, I needed to stay at this location for work. I ended up finding it super convenient to get to all parts of Paris. Highly recommend this property!
From start to finish this has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in check in and out was quick and efficient the rooms were spotless the beds were the best I have ever slept in breakfast was delicious overall this hotel was fabulous when in paris can highly recommended this hotel thank you to all for a wonderful stay also the location was superb in the high end district of Paris close to all the shops and bars next to the amrican embassy
We decided to visit the Sofitel Le Faubourg for the second time. Extremely humbled by their generosity and extraordinary customer care during the stay. First of all, their rooms are groomed luxuriously for a royal treatment. They are quite spacious for a Parisienne hotel. Very nice shower and bath with strong hot and cold water. Room service is adequate, attentive and responsive. The hotel is located centrally at the heart of Paris at an extremely secure area as all entries and exits of the street facing the hotel are guarded. It is a couple of minutes walk to the Champs-Élysées, ten minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, and surrounded by stores of major brands. The customer service and care at the hotel are way above expectations. ‘No’ is not in their dictionary. I would like to send their customer relations department special compliments, namely Marine and Alizée. The customer relations department looks after their hotel’s clients needs from the first point of contact, starting by taking clients to their rooms and making sure that all of their expectations are met. Finally I would like to thank Stephane and Eddoh from the hotel breakfast. Stephane introduced us to the fabulous and deliciously made French breakfast. I have tried the French omelette at so many places around Paris including Laurdee, Dalloyau and Café de Flore. The best I have ever had was at the Sofitel Le Faubourg, made to perfection. I loved the French toast which was made authentically without milk.Thank you for the great hospitality and experience and I look forward to coming back again.
