Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg
- What's Included
The staff at the Sofitel were extra-ordinary and met all our expectations. My wife and I had a two night stop in Paris and stayed at the Sofitel and they are clearly a five star hotel. The room were small but properly decorated. The breakfast each morning was excellent and the staff was able to meet our our requests.
We enjoyed every minute at this beautiful hotel! We were 2 adults and our 3 children. Got connecting rooms with the family package. The price was high, indeed, but you definitely get what you pay for!The rooms are a bit small but beautiful, comfortable and make you feel at home - the ones that you are happy to stay in - even when in Paris. The beds comfortable and pleasant, and the chocolates we received made us sigh with glee. The bathroom was nice, have seen better, but it too was pleasant and beautiful. Bath supplies are top notch, and I am very picky with those. The house cleaning was superb and the house cleaning ladies that we met were so nice and caring. Breakfast is nice and beautifully served. I'd add some more vegetables and salads, but I guess this is how they do it in France. The Sofitel Heathrow breakfast is more than amazing, so I was a bit disappointed. You have scrambled eggs, and you can ask for a fried egg to be made for you in the kitchen, with no extra cost. I had mine with onions, mushrooms, and herbs with no extra cost, but if you order an omelet - you need to pay extra (not included in the buffet price), which I find to be weird. The staff was amazing!Especially Sebastien and chloe´ the amazing receptionists that were so kind and sweet (and even beautiful! :0) ) who helped us with care, and dear Mr. Jerom the concierge who sat with us with such good spirit, and helped us plan a beautiful day out in Paris. We also had such a warm full of smiles welcome almost each morning at breakfast, but I didn't pick Up the Man's name. Sending my thank you from here, hope you recognize who you are :0).The location can't be better - we went Everywhere by foot, including where we picked up the car at the end of our Paris stay. I will be Happy to come back again one day, it is indeed a real gem!
I stayed at this hotel in early September. On their website this hotel looks GORGEOUS! Upon arriving we were asked to wait in the lobby until our room was ready which took about an hour. The lobby was absolutely beautiful and classy, it made me excited to see our room! We were offered water while we waited and after an hour we were taken to our room. The hallway on the floor where our room was located looked like it was under construction as there was paper covering the ground throughout the entire hallway. There was also a square from the ceiling in the hallway that was missing, exposing wires. That was a HUGE turnoff for me, so after seeing that I was a little nervous to see our room. The room was nice, but not as nice as the lobby and also not as nice as I expected it to be. Parts of the ceiling in the room looked like it was brown from possible water leakage. The room was also pretty small, although I didn't choose the smallest room option (would hate to see the size of that room). The bathroom was the nicest part of the room in my opinion, it seem updated and renovated while the room was just ok. I'm sure for the price you pay for this hotel you could find something nicer. On the positive side of things, the location was pretty great! The hotel is a short 10 minute walk to the Louvre and a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. This hotel has the potential to be really great, they just need to update their rooms and try to be a little more discreet when they're doing repairs.
We are celebrating our 10th anniversary upon stay there, very surprising they can make room set up nicely like what we wish. It’s a great pleasure to stay here, memorable moment for life, thank Sofitel.Love it ...
I was introduced to this specific hotel through the American Express Travel website. It was listed as one of 10 in their Parisian "Hotel Collection.” I trust American Express, so knew it would be a nice place, but I had no idea it would be exquisite. Unfamiliar with Paris, I hedged everything on the reputation of Sofitel and Amex. I knew the hotel was in a high-end area next to the U.S. embassy, so was certain it would be high quality. I had no idea until arrival just how wonderful of a location the hotel is in, only 250 meters from Hermes! I picked the hotel based on the high fashion design I saw in the photos on the Sofitel website. My husband and I also loved the special attention we received from the Amex/Sofitel partnership, the hand written welcome letter with pastries from the General Manager, the voucher and room upgrade were all very much appreciated. The room was incredible, comfortable and quiet (well except for Buddha Bar but we’re urbanites, we loved that it was across the street!) We loved the Hermes toiletries. We wanted for nothing. Mathilde was exceptional in helping us with the upgrade and getting settled to our room. The hostess each morning at Blossom was a delight, so cheerful and polite. ALL of the staff was wonderful, cheerful and accommodating. But I must really give accolades to sweet and fun Stephan, the waiter, who greeted me each morning with a cheery Bonjour, smile and a strong cafe! He was exceptional. He worked very hard, was pleasant and quick. Friendly but discrete and not intrusive, just wonderful. We really enjoyed the presentation and quality of the buffet breakfast offered each morning. It was so pleasant to sit in the dining room with the natural light and greenery from the courtyard. A delight to wake up to each day.Our only regret was not being able to stay longer and to enjoy the hotel bar and restaurant more than we did. We do plan on there being a “next time” and calling Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg our Parisian home away from home. Bonjour until next time, merci!
