overall an ok Hotel, located close to the trainstation, small rooms; very limited amenities...basic rooms; safe deposit needs to be closed with c/card...ok breakfast with small life coocking station..in case of booking for leisure weekend better avoid, in case of booking for business to be considered unless rates are over ± € 175,- B&B as construction work in progress starting at 08.00 am just outside the Hotel
I truly like this hotel. Location is easy accessible to main train station Hauptbhf. It is merely a 15-min walking distance to Zeil shopping area, Roemerberg, Church of St. Pau and other tourist areas. It is also near the Messe Frankfurt trade fair and congress hall. I stayed in old building called Palais tower and the room was very spacious with high ceiling. It was corner room hence more space for me! The bathroom was nice and amenities was superb! I love the smell of those bathroom amenities. The only concern I had was the trash bin that was very small and you need to step on it to open - a bit difficult if you have big feet! Check in was efficient and the staff at front desk was really nice, he offered me a late checkout which I indicated in my reservation booking. That's really personalized. The lobby bar has plenty of natural light overlooking the street and small park. They offered free coffee per room once during your stay - nice touch. This is one good hotel in this area. I'll stay in this hotel if there is another chance.
I recently visited the Le Meridien hotel for a work related trip. Overall I loved the hotel and would stay there again in a heart beat. Good sized rooms, friendly staff and great up keep. The only reason I couldn't give it a 5 is that the Wifi absolutely sucked. I would rate it as the worst wifi I've had in a hotel in recent memory. I arrived at the hotel 6 hours before the stated check in time however they had a room available so they let me check in early. That is something so rare to hear about happening these days.
The Le Meridien Parkhotel is located between Frankfurt central station, the river Main and the main city of Frankfurt. About 5 minutes from Main and central station (by walk) this hotel is a good start to explore Frankfurt as well as a good business hotel. The hotel itself has just been renovated in the last years and offers now a new design and look & feel - very clean and in a new design style. The lobby area offers up to three reception desks as well as a concierge service. The bar area and the new restaurant invite to stay and to relax. The outside terrace - faced to the Wiesenhüttenplatz and the street is small but in summer time a good place to stay for an after work beer. During breakfast the restaurant offers a buffet with a big variety of food like eggs, rolls, coffee varieties, juices, ham, cheese, fruits etc.The rooms are located in the upper floors and my room was really big and just renovated with a new bathroom and equipped with one king size bed, TV screen, sofa, minibar, safe and small desk to work at. The bathroom had an open shower, a toilet and a sink. Air condition worked very well and cooled the room very quick. The room itself was faced to the street/front side but due to the 8th floor it was quiet enough to stay by open windows.Based on all this I really can recommend this hotel for a business stay.
Yet the best areas are what was the old Park Hotel that served as the 1945-47 command for the occupying troops. The new is bland, the old unique to this generally bombed out part of Frankfurt. The proximity to the Hauptbahnhof is great and the position to escape to the airport better. So I stay here a lot -- and in the sought after old section whenever I can
