Disappointing experience.

A very average hotel, no personal touch or approach. Not the usual 5 star hotel you get used too. Food is below average, breakfast was hardly eatable. Service also on a very average level. Total disappointment. Stayed for one night and will not return. Wifi is slow. Location is okey

Perfect room, the same friendly and efficient staff to be found again from year to year, the best possible concierge, so well-situated in the historical center of the city, close to all amenities - a pleasure to come back every year.

Ok for business travel but not luxe

I suppose that if you are not used to grand hotels or if you just want to be central or if you are on business - you could stay here. We had fled this hotel many years ago in favour of the Villa Kennedy, (recommended), but decided to give the Frankfurter Hof another try. It's been under new management for close to ten years.We were upgraded thanks to AMEX, but upgraded to a suite that had a carpet so dirty that it could have been in a kennel. The room had been heavily sprayed, the reason for which became clear as the heavy scent cleared - frankly, the odor was so bad that we were close to checking out.On the plus side - an extremely efficient and helpful duty manager changed our accommodation to a recently renovated and good suite. Who knew that there was such a difference? Hint - check the room before you accept the accommodation.Food service was indifferent. Small menu, unimaginative food indifferently prepared. The staff vary in efficiency from highly trained professional to almost completely untrained in hospitality.Internet service is not good.For a city the size and importance of Frankfurt, it's sad that this hotel represents its top spot, because it is definitely not up to the job.

Horrible Customer service

I have never encountered such rude and unhelpful hotel staff in all my life! I would avoid this hotel at all costs. They are disorganized. The place is a disaster. They need an intervention from Gordon Ramsey.

Broken heating not fixed, slept in clothes 😬

Stopped for one night and when I checked in early (reception staff very good) but the heating system would only blow cold. I asked for it to be looked at 2 pm at but clearly it wasn't, slept in my clothes....not what you expect for a Euro 299 per night room. They offered me a free breakfast as an apology, but why you want is some heating. I think the room stat was broken so it just blew more cold into the room. Rest of the hotel was warmDon't think that my two messages were ever passed onto the maintenance team. I won't stop there again.Everything else was fine (packet of mini bar crisps €6.40 but then you don't have to eat them.....unless you are very hungry!!)
