Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel
- What's Included
Oh fantastic hotel, old building, really a palace like. We did have to wait for a while for our room to be made up before checking in, however we didn´t mind as the lobby is so comfortable. The stafft is friendly, but very reserve and sparse if you ask them something. This phenomenon is noticeable every where in Germany. The "business room" looked really fancy...the bar war really great too.I definetly recommend this hotel in Frankfurt.
We have booked 7 rooms for one night on our way back to our home country from Frankfurt Airport. The hotel is located on a very ideal location, which surrounded by everything on walking distance the Room are 7 starts compering with others , the price was very responsible about 200 Euro were others ( same level and near by ) are above 500 Euro . The staff in the breakfast restaurant and in the receptionist are amazing as well specially Mr. Matthieu from the help desk who was so helpful to all of us.
The hotel has a very Majestic appearance with a large amount of rooms,Check in was smooth and the staff are absolutely polite and helpful, the Steigenberger Hof is located in a very central area with easy access to the Main station, Romer square and the main shopping street Zeil within 5-10 minutes walk away. The rooms are fairly modern and very clean and the bathroom was spotless with Aigner bath products. unfortunately we had no view at all from our room. The lobby bar had a lovely ambiance with good cocktails. The concierge was very helpful in recommending restaurants in the vicinity overall we enjoyed our stay even though it was a very brief one.
We love staying here while visitin g Frankfurt and this trip was just for a weekend, as a stop over before going to Israel. I booked what I thought would be a suitable room for just two days, and when we saw that it was very small for all of our luggage and all, we were dismayed. Richard from the front desk was super accommodating and we were placed into a magnificent junior suite for the same as a deluxe grand. Two road weary travellers were made extremely happy! The hotel is just very genteel and refined yet comfortable and welcoming. And the bath products are great!
After a month long golf tour in Europe we decided to splurge on our last night prior to departure in Frankfurt with a Jr. Suite at the famous Steigenberger. I had visited this hotel in the past and enjoyed the excellent service and intimate settings of their lounge and restaurants. Unfortunately what we encountered was anything but intimate. The hotel was entirely overrun with a Book Festival event. Every public space was packed. No seats in lounge, restaurants or bar. People we're actually holding meetings in stairways! We arrived much after their 3pm check-in time and our room was still not ready. This is a management issue of priority of event profits over guest experience. I organize events around the globe from Doha to Denver and I can tell you, other properties like the Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, or St Regis would never allow this type of event without full buyout of the property. Management here at the Steigenberger obviously cares little about their paying customers to have allowed this to take place.
