Very nice hotel and far better than most Holiday Inns I've stayed at in the USA.Rooms were clean and well appointed. Hotel was modern and centrally located just a 15 minute walk from the heart of the older city.My only complaint is that their free Internet service was unbelievably slow ! It was all but worthless. I ran an Internet Speed test and the download speed timed-out at 0.02 MBPS ???? What a joke it is to call that Internet service at any price!
This is another HI hotel that i stay during the business trip in Munich. The facilities equipped on their lobby is excellent with their gaming corner with PS3/4 and Nintendo Wii(?). Various plush seat to cater every need. The staff as usual is warm and can entertain you on. Location wise its very strategic with close by Rosenheim-Platz Metro bahn, with a elevator, stairs one level down. On the way to their Bahn, at least there is 2 supermarket, Hit and the other one which i forgot that can cater most of our need of tidbit or small groceries. Eateries are plenty with Kabab shop, Chinese/Thai restaurant and Subway.Overall, its a very pleasing experience and location in Holiday Inn Munich City Center.
Recently stayed here during the Oktoberfest. Was very expensive €300 per night, but that is the OF effect I guess. The hotel is quite a good location close enough to the centre so that one can stretch their legs and far enough away to avoid too much noise from partying locals and tourists. The room was comfortable and quiet. The reception is open plan, with a large sitting area, with a bar and TV's showing American sports and news programs, but what do you expect in an American chain hotel. There was a lot of activity in the bar area, most probably because of the OF.The staff were friendly and courteous. Lots of taxis available outside the hotel.Didn't eat either breakfast or other meals in the hotel so cannot comment on the service.
Clean and affordable option within Munich. Although relatively close, it is a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist attractions. There is a small store where you can purchase food in the same building if you are hoping for an easy and inexpensive breakfast. Would stay here again.
My family and I visited Munich for a short weekend break, and this hotel was chosen for its great location and additionally my parents had visited before. As a Holiday Inn I wasn't expecting much however I was pleasantly surprised by its lovely charm. The lobby was decorated great, with a number of TVs, vast sitting areas, and, my personal favourite, two game consoles free for anyone to play. The rooms, I must admit, were not huge, however for a quick city break, it had all the necessities and was more than sufficient. The breakfast was also absolutely delightful. It had a vast selection of cooked and hot breakfast, and cold fruit and cereals. Which was again was surprisingly good for a budget hotel. The location is ideal with the metro station mere minutes away and connecting to all the desired stations and lines. The only negative was that the pool was closed indefinitely, and as a swim lover, I was slightly disappointed that this was not advertised before our arrival. An alternative was given however, and I must commend them on this. Overall it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay, and would definitely recommend to family and friends.
