Ibis Munich City
- What's Included
This is a great hotel for travelers. It is laid out for ease if you have luggage. It has lots of plugs, it is quiet, the bathroom is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast is not included but was very good. The tram is right out the front door.
The People at the Hotel was friendly and the location is excellent, near to the city center. Parking is a problem. Parking place into the hotel is not big and was full. There are not so many parking stops available in the neighborhood and you can get a ticket if you park on the street behind the Hotel. The breakfast could be better for the €11 that is charged.
I stayed here one night in a standard room. Hotel is new, so all in modern style and excellent condition.Check in: Nothing special, friendly.Check out: Nothing special, friendly.Room: Room was ok, Not highly sophisticated, but functional and nice. Good bed, excellent sleep. My room faced to the back towards the trains. Quiet.Breakfast: Was crowded, team was super busy, nevertheless friendly. Nice selection of food, standard quality.Location: 4 min walk to S-Bahn "Donnersberger Brücke".Summary: Nice and efficient hotel. Excellent value for your money. Definitively a place to stay in Munich.
We booked this hotel as an overnight stop before watching a superb matinee performance of 'Evita' at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. It was in walking distance from the main station and our first impressions were very favourable indeed. The newly built hotel was exceedingly clean and in excellent condition and the receptionists were polite and smiling on arrival and departure. Our room on the second floor (no.210) was not exactly roomy, but everything was in order and the beds were particularly comfortable. The bathroom was exactly what was required, with a large and easily workable shower and plenty of space to stand wash kit items. Very important, too, was the fact that the room was NOT overheated--often a fault with UK hotels.Despite being on a busy street with passing trams, we heard no sound from the street or from the lengthy hotel corridor. Our room did, however, overlook what appeared to be a large school at the back.We opted for an early breakfast and we were the first to arrive. There was plenty of seating (including an outside terrace), bright decoration, upbeat South American music on a background CD and a large choice of items to eat and drink. Machine-based coffee is never as good as freshly made, but rolls were fresh and cereal, yogurt and fruit tasted good.We will definitely aim to stay here on our next trip to Munich.
Great location, very close to city center especially with trams nr. 16 & 17 (station in front of the hotel).Clean hotel, quite new, supermarket netto across the road.Small and crowded rooms. Too much furniture. They should take out the couch.Awful ventilation system - it can not be turned off so it makes a lot of noise and blows cold air all night, event though outside there were 5 - 8 °C.Tip: park your car at a P+R it costs only 1.5 € a day comparing to 17 € at the hotel. I recommend Heimeranplatz easy acces from the hotel with bus no.63
