Great hotel centrally located

Lovely hotel right next to the train station which was great for us as we were travelling to Salzburg. The pool was great, we swam every day and the gym was well equipped for a hotel.Modern rooms with everything we needed and the breakfast was great too.Helpful friendly staff, I'd stay again.

Close to center of town

Nice hotel. Large room, had a suite. It's nice, not luxury but clean. Beds were nice and comfy. Shampoo and conditioner were nice. The Wi-Fi was good, able to get on quickly and wasn't too slow. It was close enough to walk to the center of city. We took the train from the airport and walked to the hotel.

Good only if you need to be on this side of town.

The location is great only if you need to be on this side of town. While the hotel is walking distance to the main attractions, it is in a seedy area. The hotel put me in a room next to smoking rooms. They specifically said that would not be the case. The concierge doesn't have many relationships. The room was very noisy. I'm from NY and currently live abroad on a military base so I'm use to noise. But, the noise here was worse than usual. Had an issue in my room and it took facilities over an hour to come up. Also, if you book through Expedia, it states 24 hour airport shuttle service is available but it is NOT available. If you have quite a bit of luggage or are not able to take the train, plan to spend at least another $75+tip each way for airport transportation. Otherwise, it's a standard Le Meridien hotel and the staff are nice and the overall ambience of the hotel is welcoming.

Perfect location, well appointed, good size, clean room. Reasonable Staff standards.

We had a 5 day family City break to Munich. The Le Meridien Hotel is immediately next to the main train station, this was great as we used the Main trains, S-Bahn and U-Bahn system for our trips. The Bar and the staff in it are excellent, great service. The Reception staff at registration were excellent. Our rooms were spotless, good size, well appointed and I really liked the bed.The Gym, Pool, Sauna and Steam room, were very well looked after and of good quality. We were originally booked to stay at the Sofitel, across the road, but following a change in our flight plans they were unable to accommodate us, Le Meridien were great and at substantially less cost, I can happily recommend the hotelMy only criticism would be the manner of a couple of the Men on the reception desk. One in particular chose a substantially different character when dealing with English speaking clients compared to when he was servicing Arabic speaking clients. I watched him deal in a bland and unenthusiastic manner with some customers speaking in English (I think they were East European) and then he very warmly looked after some other clients, speaking with them in Arabic, then it was my turn to converse with him, the return to bland and almost dismissive communication was pronounced. I will certainly use his hotel again when I need a city hotel in Munich

Hotel OK, but organisation very poor

I stay very often in this hotel for business. Hotel itself is good, but their billing systems are terrible. Last time I stayed, they apparently made a mistake in calculating the bill when I checked out. The first I found out about it was when they charged my personal credit card for GBP 307 without any warning, over 2 months later. Obviously would have been happy to pay all I owe (it's on expenses!) but I didn't notice the charge until shortly before the credit card bill was due, and now hard to charge on. Unlikely to stay again - there are plenty of other good places in Munich.
