Le Meridien Munich
- What's Included
The good thing with LeMeridian is, you know what you get - and thats worldwide. Just not in Munich. It is more one of the worst and I wouldn't recommend to stay.- Keyless go: I checked in from the airport. When I arrived, I told him I have checked in already. Comment: Oh, the access to the system has only the leader and he is not here. So we need to do it again. If you can use it, don't offer it.- When I wanted to add the breakfast I was advised that the breakfast room might be overcrowded between 630 and 830. Is this LeMeridian Standard that you can't get breakfast?- no Platinum recognition in the room. Not important, but the small difference.- a remote control that didnt work- when I checked out, no one asked who I liked it. I guess they know why the dont ask. This hotel is not worth a start. Stay somewhere else

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly faces and smiles. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they were very attentive to our needs and particularly my 4-yr old. He even got a little toy from them! The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and light and airy. The views were not great but with it being a city hotel, the Hauptbahnhof was just a stone's throw away. The Hauptbahnhof is large and sprawling and this hotel is at one end of it. The other end is nearer the City Centre. The breakfast buffet area is compact but packs a lot in, and the room service menu is good with kids and vegetarian options too. One minor gripe was the shower cubicle door is badly designed with holes in the hinges so the water seeps out and floods the floor very easily. Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would stay here again if I visit Munich again.
Solid property in Munich conveniently located across from the train station. Felt larger and more commercial than the usual boutique-feeling of the Le Meridien brand. Decor, particularly in the rooms is also dated compared to brand stardards and had some issues with things that didn't work in the room. Still a good property, but needs the update to be special again.
Usually the main feature of hotels that linger in my mind after I leave a hotel are the comfort factor of the rooms and/or the amenities provided. But in this case, it was the front desk staff. Never have I encountered such friendly people. I've forgotten the gentleman's name but he took the time to explain the offerings at the hotel and made me feel as if though he was a long lost buddy. The lady who checked me out was exceptionally friendly too.The rooms are modern and extremely well designed. There's not much of a view but the room's interior more than made up for it. It was really chic.Breakfast during the weekend is served upto 1 pm. So that was really wonderful. The breakfast spread was adequate although it can be improved. The hotel is also just across the road from the main train station. The only downside is that it gets really noisy at night if you're staying in a room facing the main street. There is apparently a club nearby and it gets really loud even when dawn is about to break. There are also ambulances blaring their sirens throughout the night so that is a bit disturbing.I hope to return to this property again in the future. But this time I hope to get a room that faces the inner courtyard.
