Le Meridien Munich
- What's Included
Stayed again for a weekend beginning of April and this hotel remains one of my favorites even after many years.Location opposite main train station is perfect if coming by train / plane and I like their style - somehow combination of "classic" luxury hotel & modern / chic style - without unnecessarily being too hip / cool...Check-in by their nice Spanish front desk staff was very friendly - such positive start gives already good feeling for the stay, gracias !Also realized that the concierge is still the same since many years - always a good sign.Service / facilities as to be expected for this kind of level, only real complaint I had this time was about their laundry service: very limited choices over the weekend and my order still got messed up - if I pay such high hotel rates for this service, I would expect to have full laundry menu (also on weekends) and accurate service, please. As others mentioned, unfortunately surroundings of hotel are indeed bit disturbing with many unpleasant individuals - and I think it got worse over the years. While this is not the hotel's responsibilty, I still hope they regularly address this with the relevant city authorities...Overall, surely will consider again for next trip to Munich.
We ordered room for 2 adults and 1 child. when we arrived to the hotel, they did not prepare an extra bed. when we ask them to add exstra bed - they requested 85 Euro for every night.Very disappointing treatment. There are better hotels in Munich.
The hotel is so conveniently located - just a stones throw away from the train. Upon check in, our room wasn't yet ready and we were offered an upgrade with a courtyard view. Now that put a smile on our face and got us checked in quickly so we were able to start our site seeing of the city.Room was beautiful with many creature comforts.Breakfast was high quality, delicious and had a huge array of items. And the buffet was until 1pm!It was raining 1 of the days we were there and we took advantage of the spa area - top notch. Great steam room, sauna, recovery room and indoor pool. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of order. I would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to others.
The hotel is centrally located directly across from the main train station and easily accessible by train, tram and bus but also only a 20 minute walk into Marienplatz. The room was large with a comfortable king size bed and bathroom with both a bath and shower. There was an unstocked mini fridge that could be stocked upon request. There was only 1 complimentary bottle of water for 2 guests and there was no tea/coffee available in the room. There was a voucher in the room good for 1 coffee at the hotel bar, however we had to wait for someone to be available to make the coffee. It would have been nicer to have a kettle in the room. Check out took a bit longer than usual and I was asked to fill out some paper work that they forgot to provide at check in. The concierge suggested a very overpriced tourist trap location when I asked about local bar which made me think they stereotype guests and send a lot of ppl there. We found nicer places on our own. Although the hotel was nice it didn't have the amenities I would expect from a 5*. We got a very good deal booking online and i think the value for the money was very good.
Perfect location directly across the road from Munich Central Station especially if arriving by train. From the hotel it's approx a 10 minute walk to Old Town.Although the immediate area around the hotel seemed a little dodgy (people wise) once inside the hotel it is what you would expect from a Le Meridien property. The room was spacious and comfortable for a 4 night stay.Free wifi in the room ✔️Business centre in the lobby with printing facilities ✔️No mini bar in the room however they have a vending machine in the lobby. We were surprised that the bar was not showing the football match between Munich vs Madrid as we were advised that it was against hotel policy. We would have stayed at the hotel and spent money at the bar but went elsewhere so we could watch the game.A big shout out to Martin from Concierge who exceeded our expectations. With his knowledge of Munich, great service, personality and sense of humour he is a great asset to the hotel and wears the golden keys with pride.Thank-you Martin for all of your assistance during our stay. We loved our stay in Munich.
