Westin Grand Munich Arabellapark
- What's Included
We went to much in July 2016, first of all this hotel was beautiful, the room was big and the restrooms were beautiful! This was my fist time coming to Germany so I really didn't know what to expect but this hotel blew me away. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby. Although we only stayed here 2 nights I enjoyed it. Also it's walking distance from the metro/train. When I went they were constructing something right next to the hotel. It wasn't noisy but it made it look kind of scary at night. I loved how there's a little shopping mart (groceries, restaurants, clothes etc) right behind the hotel, probably a 2 minute walk. The bar was also a plus it was open until 2 am, so if you want a nice drink when you're thru with sight seeing for the day go to the bar and get a piña colada. Trust me you won't regret it! Overall beautiful hotel. The staff was also really nice and let me borrow a plug in converter.
I enjoyed a short yet wonderful stay at the grand Westin in Munich. From the quick check in, cordial service, wonderful facilities and food and Spa - everything was wonderful. Highly recommended. Thank you for a great experience.
We visited Munich late october last year and stayed for two nights in the Westin Grand. It is a good hotel for a city trip since it is located directly at a subway station and close to the English garden. However, one can see that the hotel is not the newest anymore and compared to hotels of similar class it could get some refreshment.
Spend a night here while traveling through Bavaria. Genuinely a nice and luxurious place with freshly renovated club lounge, which allows for great views across Munich. Our room was nice and the bed cosy, however it wasn't fully clean - the cups for the coffee machine were dirty and we found some packaging on the floor from guests before us. Parking and breakfast is as expensive as usual in these chains (20+ Euros), so in total that sums it up in a '4' for me.
The hotel is has everything you'd expect - very good breakfast, very clean, nice bar, obliging staff - but it seems to suffer due to its size. There was no overwhelming luxury or nothing to be amazed by. It is close to the underground which was great but the hotel was more of a very good functional 4 star as opposed to a 5 star. To be fair the spa/leisure facilities were good.
