Westin Grand Munich Arabellapark
- What's Included
I have been for a business conference almost every year and the hotel has been the same. The rooms are spacious and clean, the fitness centre has all the necessary equipment, the breakfast spread is amazing and the conference centre is big enough to accommodate around 200 people. The only thing that I missed in the room was an international adapter for devices outside of Germany.Recommended!!
We stayed here for a couple of days to see Munich. It is a good hotel, as could be expected from the Westin. We had a spacious room, large bed, clean. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice. Indoors are several shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel is situated near the subway so we could easily jump in and discover Munich from this base. during our stay the football teams of Atletico Madrid and Naples were also in the house, so if it was good enough for these millionaires, it was certainly good enough for us.
We reach the hotel in the afternoon. We had two rooms. One for me and one for my kids. The room was clean and comfortable. We like the fact that this hotel is near to the Arrabella subway station, our ride to Munich City. In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel and there was a simple variety of breakfast food available. From omelette, salads, croissants to cereal and fresh fruit juice. The staff at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. Overall we wish to stay here longer , perhaps in our next visit.
I stayed at the Westin three years ago and couldn't fault the stay then and was looking forward to returning. The room was just as nice, extremely comfortable king size bed, large bathroom with his/her sinks, separate shower and bath. My room was on the 7th floor and although road noise could be heard it was low level. What was annoying is that room 718 is by the lift so you can hear the whiring noise of lifts going up and down. Although not really loud it's hard to tune out from.Breakfast was OK. When we arrived it was very busy and there wasn't a clean table set up. We asked a member of staff if he could clear one that had been vacated and went to get food to give him time to re-lay the table. We came back to find he'd wondered off and the table was still covered in used plates etc. We asked him again and although he cleared it, he didn't reset it fully , so I had to go off looking for cutlery. We never got offered tea or coffee either. Breakfast service really let the hotel down. Shame as it's a nice hotel.
We both had a lovely stay . The staff at the check in had this warm welcome we had a good laugh at check in made us feel very welcome. The view from our room was fantastic ... the hotel has a variety of bars very good choice both . The only thing I did not like was how long it took to be seated to have breakfast .... the queue was very long for eggs almost 10 mins waiting . In overall it was a romantic weekend we loved it and will definitely go back there .
