I have never felt such a relaxing and stress-free atmosphere than I did at hotel Apollo Creta. My kids absolutely loved using the playground of Apollo. Particularly noteworthy is the hotel which has never let us down and Nickos, the manager, is always there ready to help and to ensure everything is ok and he always brings delivers. It was also a great pleasure to meet peaceful guests from various countries and enjoying the friendly atmosphere and the amazing hospitality from many people of the island. I also loved the service they offered to us in the Apollo restaurant. The specialities they cook are very much Mediterranean with fresh local ingredients. I felt really good and I am thinking to book again in my next holidays. I also had a very nice treatment from Sophia who has been a haidresser for almost 30 years at Apollo's hair salon. We loved the area, we couldn't have asked for anything better. I will recommend this vacation hotel to everyone we know. Thanks again.
Me wife and 3 kids are just back. Don't listen to bad comments the place is really nice. There is 3 hotels spaced out.wee were in very top one. 350m walk from main reception but views are nice , and can walk off dinner. Rooms were cleaned daily which is a bonus and cleaner was nice . Food was pretty good always plenty to have . More off adult type foods. Im gutted missed BBQ night which is on a Saturday. And this is the day wee arrived and Departures. Good breakfasts. Good lunch. Good cake and coffee at 3pm and a good dinner . Always loved desserts. Staff at hotel couldn't be helpful enough. Always try and help even though my Scottish is strong 😂. Booked us taxi few times . Which is only €8 into bizzy wee town . But if you want piece and quite stay in kavros beautiful wee place. All locals are nice. Some beautiful scenery over looking this hotel. Beach 10 min walk, With lake near by. Horse riding near as well . Will be back in future . Even me and wife for wee break. Don't be scared too book from the negativity. Apollo seems to be updating all the time. Wished got few more pics. Enjoy 😊 Thanks Scott c frew
Loved this hotel, gorgeous pool and day beds. Food was delicious and plentiful. Friendly and helpful staff and owners were onsite daily. We stayed in the large apartments on the hill. Nice resort and the beach is lovely. Wish vodka was on the drinks menu only criticism 😊
we were a family of 5 and visited the hotel in late April 2017. To summarise our holiday was spoiled by the hotel, This is definitely not an all-inclusive hotel as advertised!! we were refused any snacks during the day and even cappuccino at times. lunch was not buffet it was just served on a tray at your table regardless of whether you like it or not. All the food was tasty but really limited and very little choice. We spent a lot of money in supermarkets as our 3 kids disliked the food and refused to eat vegetables alone every day. The hotel does not serve chips or kids food like fish fingers or even ice-cream! After making many requests to the manager Nicos we got served 2 fish and chips meals, 1 day of ice cream and pasta.I must add breakfast was delicious ever day and plenty of it too, best meal of the day. The hotel can not cater for any dietary needs as my youngest son is intolerant to dairy and has almond milk which they did not provide or any other non dairy food for him. We only found 2 staff that spoke English so communication was poor at meal times. no Greek barbeque evening has advertised on webpage, again this was disappointing. we stayed in room 101 it looks lovely but unfortunately we had very little sleep due to the noise as its so close to cross roads. no kettle in room and shower was broken when we arrived, this did get fixed. we had a few cold showers as there was no hot water on 2 days. massive let down was the outdoor pool as it was empty and had some electrical problems and the hotel didn't inform us about this. so for the whole week we were without a pool and still haven't been offered any compensation. No tv channels found that were English spoken and wifi only in reception area. so for your all inclusive package you only get breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks after 12.30 as described above. no activities for the kids , climbing frame was out of use no other games either. On a positive note the staff were great and friendly, the location was super and plenty of shops and supermarkets near by and places to eat too. We had a great time visiting nearby cities and getting on the local bus was so easy with the kids. Views were stunning and beach was great. would definitely visit Crete/ kavros again but not stay at this hotel. I would not recommend this for families as there is very little to do if you want to keep the kids busy at the resort. However it would be a good B&B or somewhere to have has a base if you are going to be out most of the day. Facilities are good and really clean.lots to do and see if you don't mind walking.I hope this helps with planning your holiday.
My partner and I wanted a nice relaxing break away and that is exactly what we got at The Apollo. It was very clean and recently refurbished with a modern feel whilst maintaining the authentic Greek style. The views from the hotel were beautiful. The food was fresh and plenty of, with a varied choice which we both enjoyed very much. Also our flight meant we arrived after evening meal had finished but they had kindly put some food aside for us which we thought was absolutely amazing and considerate and a brilliant start to the holiday. Customer service exceeded. All of the staff were very nice and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The atmosphere was made all the better by the barman Marco who catered to our every need before we even asked for it. The holiday was finished with an impromptu traditional Greek dancing night from the owner Nicos, Marco and other staff which was absolutely brilliant. We loved every minute from start to finish and will definitely be returning. Many thanks, Vicki and Pete xx
