- What's Included
we were a family of 5 and visited the hotel in late April 2017. To summarise our holiday was spoiled by the hotel, This is definitely not an all-inclusive hotel as advertised!! we were refused any snacks during the day and even cappuccino at times. lunch was not buffet it was just served on a tray at your table regardless of whether you like it or not. All the food was tasty but really limited and very little choice. We spent a lot of money in supermarkets as our 3 kids disliked the food and refused to eat vegetables alone every day. The hotel does not serve chips or kids food like fish fingers or even ice-cream! After making many requests to the manager Nicos we got served 2 fish and chips meals, 1 day of ice cream and pasta.I must add breakfast was delicious ever day and plenty of it too, best meal of the day. The hotel can not cater for any dietary needs as my youngest son is intolerant to dairy and has almond milk which they did not provide or any other non dairy food for him. We only found 2 staff that spoke English so communication was poor at meal times. no Greek barbeque evening has advertised on webpage, again this was disappointing. we stayed in room 101 it looks lovely but unfortunately we had very little sleep due to the noise as its so close to cross roads. no kettle in room and shower was broken when we arrived, this did get fixed. we had a few cold showers as there was no hot water on 2 days. massive let down was the outdoor pool as it was empty and had some electrical problems and the hotel didn't inform us about this. so for the whole week we were without a pool and still haven't been offered any compensation. No tv channels found that were English spoken and wifi only in reception area. so for your all inclusive package you only get breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks after 12.30 as described above. no activities for the kids , climbing frame was out of use no other games either. On a positive note the staff were great and friendly, the location was super and plenty of shops and supermarkets near by and places to eat too. We had a great time visiting nearby cities and getting on the local bus was so easy with the kids. Views were stunning and beach was great. would definitely visit Crete/ kavros again but not stay at this hotel. I would not recommend this for families as there is very little to do if you want to keep the kids busy at the resort. However it would be a good B&B or somewhere to have has a base if you are going to be out most of the day. Facilities are good and really clean.lots to do and see if you don't mind walking.I hope this helps with planning your holiday.
My partner and I wanted a nice relaxing break away and that is exactly what we got at The Apollo. It was very clean and recently refurbished with a modern feel whilst maintaining the authentic Greek style. The views from the hotel were beautiful. The food was fresh and plenty of, with a varied choice which we both enjoyed very much. Also our flight meant we arrived after evening meal had finished but they had kindly put some food aside for us which we thought was absolutely amazing and considerate and a brilliant start to the holiday. Customer service exceeded. All of the staff were very nice and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The atmosphere was made all the better by the barman Marco who catered to our every need before we even asked for it. The holiday was finished with an impromptu traditional Greek dancing night from the owner Nicos, Marco and other staff which was absolutely brilliant. We loved every minute from start to finish and will definitely be returning. Many thanks, Vicki and Pete xx
We returned recently by Holiday in the structure kavros Apollo hotel, even for a few days, but we feel at home.the manager nicos, and a human person and professional and we need to thank the barman for Marco fantastic evening in greek style.Beautiful typical structure and culture highlights.
My husband and I have just come back from a fantastic holiday. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the beach and a very picturesque small town. The Apollo was clean and set in front of some very impressive views. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much no matter what you ask. I have to mention how impressed I was with the cleaner she worked incredibly hard was on the go most of the day making sure every room was checked over, beds made and bins emptied. Marco the bar man was also fantastic he knew everyone and what they drank and would bring it to you as soon as you got to the bar. The food is basic but some of the meals were really enjoyable it was all very fresh. My only small moan would be the coffee in the morning was always cold but we got round that by putting some water from the kettle into it and as it was really strong it didn't effect the taste. Overall a brilliant holiday and we will definitely be going again.Sorry would have put more pictures on but the won't load
Visited this hotel 24th September for one week on an all inclusive basis. Food was boring and just about edible. Rooms were basic but clean, lovely pool but very cold. Beach was a 15minute walk away. No entertainment in the hotel and very little around it at night. It's no more then a 2 star and wouldn't go back to it again.
