Visit the ruins in the basement!

Good hotel at a reasonable price. Helpful staff. Exceptionally clean. We had a small problem in the bathroom that was fixed nearly immediately. And a great location. Disappointed the roof restaurant was seasonal only. And room had a balcony with a view of the Acropolis!

Premier Inn esque

The hotel is ideally situated for the Acropolis and museum. Check in and out is efficient and the staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are small and the fixtures and fittings are most certainly not worthy of any 5 star hotels that I have stayed in. This is more like a holiday inn express or premier inn. The toilet seat is straight out of the bargain section and generally the whole bathroom needs refurbishing. The air conditioning in the room is set to either heat the room or cool it. Obvious, you might say but it depends on which season you are in. So in November it is set to heat only meaning that the room was baking hot. I had to sleep the three nights with the balcony door wide open and ear plugs in to drown the noise outside. This also meant little visitors were able to get in and bite me whilst I slept. So be warned, if you like a hot room, you’ll be fine, if not stay elsewhere. As the floors are tiled the noise from the room above when they scrape their chairs around is horrendous so the ear plugs are a must. The breakfast and lunches are plentiful and varied. Food is good quality and hot. The staff are excellent. All in all a very average hotel that trades off of its location.

Great staff, nice hotel, delicious food

Nothing more delightful than seeing the Acropolis from the roof garden, Athens is a calm and magical place when you stay at this hotel and just let yourself be treated with an incredible service. Free tea, coffee, very beautiful bathroom, amazing beds, calming environment, well presented buffet, particularly attentive staff, and a very good help offered by the staff for organizing business meetings.

Good location but rooms not up to standard

This is not a 5 star hotel, more like 3 star. The rooms were small and quite old with basic bathrooms. The roof terrace which features on all the advertising was not open at all - not only was the bar and restaurant closed, you could not even go up there to sit and admire the view, despite the temperatures being 20/21 degrees.

A beautiful hotel with great views of the Acropolis

We only stayed one night but found the hotel and our room wonderful. Size, cleanliness and location were perfect. We were disappointed that the terrace restaurant was already closed for the season. It was why I picked this hotel was for the views of the Acropolis on their terrace restaurant. The hotel did upgrade us to a larger room to make up for this. We would have also liked to have a menu to pick from for breakfast. The buffet was sumptuous but way too much food for us and it came at a hefty price; 25 euros per person! That said, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
