This was a nice hotel for a one day stopover in Athens from a Mediterranean Cruise. The hotel is located a short distance from the Parthenon and offers beautiful views of the Parthenon from its rooftop restaurant. We had a standard room which was small but comfortable and had everything we needed. The neighborhood seemed somewhat mixed residential and business and near various attractions. It was a short walk to pick up the Hop-on Hop-off bus which we used to visit many attractions in our one day stay in Athens. We did eat both breakfast and dinner at the Hotel restaurant. I would rate the downstairs restaurant as average. It is a large restaurant designed for large tour groups. The hotel has a more expensive fine dining restaurant on the rooftop which we did not use.
Nice room, location - clean, safe, good towels, nice bedsSmall rooms but well appointed - good wifi - good power outlets - good housekeeping Weakest link - Breakfast - this chain does not shine at breakfast... abundant food but low quality
Stayed at this hotel before a cruise in November with my family and we all thought the hotel was faultless. The hotel is perfectly located, five minutes from the acropolis and some excellent bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional and the rooms we were allocated were excellent. Breakfast was high quality with plenty of choice and well cooked. I doubt I will stay in any other Hotel should I return to Athens. All in all an exceptional hotel and a big thank you to all staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Bert
If my stay at the Divani Palace Acropolis had not been included in my tour package, I probably would not have stayed there because of the expense. I try to travel economically and there are plenty of cheaper options in the area but nowhere near as nice. The rooms are very clean as well as nicely outfitted and everyone I have dealt with spoke English. (And that's not a moot point here in Athens.) The food is outstanding but I assume it is pricey too. Since my meals were included in my tour, I don't really know the menu. If you can afford it, this is a really nice hotel and walking distance from the Acropolis.
We had a weekend in Athens and we stayed at Divani Palace Acropolis. The hotel is in a perfect location, 5 minutes walking from the acropolis. Reception is very nice with beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre watches attached. The staff at reception has been really kind and nice. The room was nice but I wouldn't rate it at 5 stars, "only" 4. It was nice and clean, but I would not define it luxury. Also the staff at the souvenir shop was really friendly and absolutely not pushing to buy something. I cannot comment restaurant/breakfast as we stayed only 1 night and we ate outside.
