Divani Palace Acropolis

We booked an executive room thinking we would get a view of the Acropolis but when we got to our room it was not the view we were expecting, we called down to the front desk and they sent someone up right away to help us switch rooms. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and staff. I wouldn't say this was a 5 start resort, closer to a 4 star resort but none the less we were pleased. The location was great, rooms were comfortable and clean. The only negative was that the walls/floor/doors were a little bit thin and you could hear others from time to time, so if you are a light sleeper this hotel may not be for you. It didn't bother us and didn't seem to get noisy until about 7:30-8am. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
A lovely, clean hotel situated perfectly for walking the Plaka and the Acropolis. Very reasonable rates. We didn't eat the breakfast (extra charge) but found a really nice breakfast place just steps away. Highly recommend.
The hotel was perfectly located, near everything, the Acropolis and nightnlife. It was clean and elegant. But the best part was the refreshing pool available at the end of each day.Don't have anything more to say
We booked this hotel thinking the executive rooms had an Acropolis view as the photo on their website shows a clear view of it through the balcony door. We were given a room on a low floor looking straight at the opposite building with no view at all even though we paid for an executive room. After discussions with the Manager it was arranged that we would be moved the next night to a higher floor which did have an Acropolis view if you stood on the end of the balcony and looked left. Not like the picture on the website at all. I don't know if any executive rooms have a direct view from the room but I didn't see any and our daughter had another executive room which we checked out too. The room was nice and tastefully decorated. We explained to the Manager that the website was misleading in other ways too. The photo of breakfast depicts the rooftop restaurant but it is actually in the Aspassia Restaurant which is not the rooftop. The website states that 12pm is checkout but on the front desk is a sign that informs you that it is 11am. The website also states that there is a laundry service (which is true) and a guest laundry (which is not true). Overall our stay was lovely due to the fantastic location and the lovely decor in the rooms and lobby. I would just advise not to assume that an executive room has an Acropolis view just because you've paid more for it than a deluxe room. It depends on the floor.
We stayed here five nights in October. The room was clean, had a room safe, balcony and sufficient amenities. The meals in the rooftop restaurant, with great views of the Acropolis, were excellent. However, the hotel could improve two areas. First, there were no outlets for charging electronics (all outlets were used for lamps). Second, there were not enough hooks to hang towels individually, which would allow guests to reuse them to be environmentally sensitive. The breakfast buffet was extensive, but served in a basement room with no natural light. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about.
