Stayed here for 2 nights when visiting Athens, hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the Acropolis and restaurants and bars. Good value for money, staff were very helpful and friendly too. Beds were comfortable and we were provided large bottle of water for the room. There is a mini fridge where you can purchase snacks and drinks. The lobby bar has a good range of drinks and is located next to the swimming pool which was clean, quiet and peaceful. We didnt eat here but the restaurant on the roof top looked very nice. Would recommend to anyone visiting Athens.
The hotel was nice, the staff were wonderful. Only issue was with the breakfast, why can't they provide hot coffee. Every time I asked for hot coffee, it was always luke warm. Anyway, overall the hotel was good, was close to all the historical sites. Was walking distance to ththe Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis. Cabs were generally €5-10 to get around town. Definitely hit Corinth as the site is just amazing. Also hit monestaki area where the night life starts after 10pm.
Travelled as a family of 5, 2 adjoining rooms booked for 2 nights. 1 wheelchair user.Positives first - the location is perfect. Literally a 5 minute walk uphill to the Acropolis. The communal areas of the hotel are well in keeping with its 5 star rating, including part of the ancient city walls in the basement. Doormen excellent - very friendly & knowledgeable. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance - El Greco is left out of the hotel doors, first right and a few minutes along. Our favourite eating place of our entire 2 weeks in Greece and the kids wanted to go there every meal.Negatives - sadly everything else about the hotel. Very small room, really struggled to get our cases and a folded wheelchair. The second room which had the extra bed was pretty dire - u/s air conditioning, sockets hanging out if wall, bathroom door wouldn't close, toilet didn't flush and the "put-up" third bed was awful. Claims of a balcony are well exaggerated - a wider than average ledge without even room for a chair would be more accurate. Lift not wide enough for a wheelchair - needed to be folded for access.Reception staff fairly snooty.Pool very small & cold and in the shade for much of the day. Restrictive hours and extortionate poolside bar prices.Didn't even bother trying the rooftop restaurant due to the ridiculous prices.I give 2 stars because the location is so excellent, but hugely disappointed in the hotel itself. This said - I would use again purely for location.
This hotel has two sections, one much newer than the other. We were initially accommodated in the older half of the hotel. The room was decorated in a very dated style, with itchy covers on the beds and a broken sliding patio door. We complained about a few issues with the room including the lack of an iron, and we were eventually moved to another room. This was in the new half of the hotel and was infinitely nicer, it was the standard you'd expect of a modern 4-star European hotel.
We stayed 2 nights here starting our vacation in Greece. The hotel is conveniently located to the Acropolis, the city tour buses and several other historical sites. The roof top restaurant with the view of the Acropolis lit after dark was exceptional starting with the view and including the service and food. The pool is small and closed from 2 till 5 for a quiet time that is country wide. If you go talk to George in the bar, best bartender in the place with a great personality and desire to make your stay enjoyable.
