Of our 8 trips to Sandals/Beaches this was by far our favourite one. Our butlers made this an extraordinary week. Glendon, Kervin and Sylvika took care of everything and let us just relax. I would strongly recommend asking for them to be your butlers. The resort is maintained in excellent condition. The grounds, pools, beach etc. were all immaculate. The food at this resort was excellent. And nice choice was always available. Butch's Chop House was outstanding. A must when visiting La Source. We highly recommend this resort and will be back for sure!
My my and I have been to many Sandals and Beaches and have never been disappointed. This Sandals, however, provided the highest level of service of any we have visited. All staff very friendly. We specifically want to mention Shaquille Clark, a young man in the beverage department. He was a true pleasure to meet and talk with. The scuba team also deserves mention. Charelson, Prince, Adrian and Gary were very knowledgeable and courteous. All worked very hard to be accommodating to a large range of new to experienced divers. They made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. I sometimes wish the clientele could be so courteous in return. Thank you again.
Sandals did not disappoint resort is lovely and staff in particular are amazing. The only thing I felt let the resort down was the beach however Grenada has many beautiful beaches so was a good excuse to get out the resort and see the island. Food in resort was good but just that, I have been to 3 sandals resorts in last 11 months so maybe I have just got used to quality and what to expect but did not wow on this occasion for some reason. All staff however deserve a shout out in the resort as we're excellent and a credit to the resort and sandals brand.
My husband and I were in Grenada celebrating our second wedding anniversary and we had a great time at Sandals Lasource. We both have never been to a Sandals resort prior to this trip and it was also the first time either of us have been to Grenada. This resort has beautiful grounds, everywhere you look there are gorgeous flowers blooming and we even saw a few hummingbirds flying around. The ride from the airport was incredibly short because the airport is right around the corner from the resort. We very rarely heard the airplanes landing/taking off. We live near two airports in NYC so even when we did hear the airplanes it didn't bother us at all. On this trip my husband and I booked a "split stay" so that we could stay in two different rooms while we were there. The first four nights we stayed in the Italian village swim up butler suite. And for the remainder of our trip we stayed in the South Seas one bedroom butler suite with the infinity pool. We enjoyed both rooms however our favorite was the South Seas suite mainly because we had way more privacy there. Having a butler at this resort is a must have. Our trip would not have been the same without Sherlyann, Neron & Brent. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable throughout our stay. We were able to do a couple of excursions that we would absolutely recommend. The dunebuggy excursion was such a great time, they take you all over the island and into the rainforest to a beautiful waterfall. And, we also went on a sunset cruise with music, drinks and some snacks. Both excursions were a lot of fun and great for photos and just beautiful views of the island and the locals. We were expecting more options at the breakfast buffets (it seemed each breakfast restaurant was serving pretty much the exact same thing with the exception of Le Jardinier breakfast). And the options for lunch were also a bit lacking (it got old pretty fast because the menu for Neptunes never changed). So if you didn't eat at Neptunes for lunch, you could get a hot dog or a pizza but even those options get old rather quickly. Dinner however was pretty great! Our favorite restaurants were the Japanese options (Soy and Kimonos), French option (Le Jardinier) and the Italian option (Cucina Romana). We tried Butch's on our first night and we unfortunately weren't that impressed. Sadly, we never got a chance to try Spices. However, we did frequent Café Paris for iced coffee, ice cream, pastries and crepes. We also learned pretty quickly that the Tipsy Turtle is the place to hang out for the younger crowd. They also serve wings and fish & chips which made this place my husband's favorite place, especially because they stayed open the latest (2am). For the most part my husband and I spent a lot of time in the rooms enjoying the pool so we regularly requested our food to be brought up by our butlers. One huge perk to having the butlers was that we never had to get dressed up to go to dinner, we just asked our butlers to bring the food from the restaurants to us. That was great! The entertainment staff is very friendly and they always greeted us and checked to see how our stay was going. Steven was great! He was always getting everyone out of their seats to dance and play pool, he was genuinely a great guy. The beach was gorgeous! My husband had a great time using the kayak and the hobbycat. We booked an excursion for night snorkeling for our last night there but sadly that never happened. We were told to meet the instructors/guide at a certain time and even though we had arrived earlier then we were told to, the group left us behind. One thing we don't necessarily agree with is the no tipping policy. We personally feel that this policy gives the staff no incentive to go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. There were a couple instances that we felt we were bothering staff members when we asked for things. Luckily for us we had our butlers, so when we didn't want to deal with that; all we had to do was call them. All in all, we had a great time in Grenada and we certainly would return to Grenada however, we aren't positive about returning to another Sandals resort.
This was our 3rd trip to LaSource. We love the whole location. Nice, nearly private beach, wonderful grounds, great staff and very nice food and amenities. I am a diver, the wife is not and we find Sandals a great balance for us both. She at the pool and spa (great service and pricing) and I doing the 2 tank dive every day. We were in an Italian Village, swim-up butler room. The swim up was a great feature to escape the pools for a little quiet time together. Our Butlers, Kerry, Leanna, and Jamie were fantastic. We know some people are put off by the idea of a butler, but they are a great resource and really looked after us wherever we were. They got us lounges by the pool everyday, and made sure we did not get dehydrated (Coladas and Mai-Tais) while in the hot sun. At the spa the wife was recognized by the staff, Cladiann, from nearly a year ago. The services were very well done and the pricing was better than anything we see at home (California). The dive staff, Charlson, Kimshon, Rendon, Adrian and James run a top notch operation. Every dive included all the gear, for free, and they always had thorough safety briefings. The boat was usually split into 2 groups so the divemasters had safe sized groups to lead. I have dove around the world and have always been impressed with the operation at Sandals in general. Overall we really love this resort. The restaurants all provide great service and good selections. We tried Soy, the sushi place, this time around and were pleasantly impressed the chef even made us something special "off Menu". Butch's, for steak, and Le Jardinière, French, really shine. The jerk chicken at Neptune's is not to be missed and right on the beach. Can't say enough about how much we enjoy travelling to Sandals and La Source in particular.
