Outstanding resort

This represents a vanishing quality smaller resort which unfortunately are being replaced by behemoth cattle call resorts. Do yourself a favor and book here- quality accommodations, fine people, superb food! You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic hotel with amazing staff

I stayed in this hotel on my own for 4 nights and i truly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is bright and colourful and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay! The omelettes for breakfast were divine!!

Christmas in the Caribbean

We spent 8 days at the marina and a couple of days at the resort. The place is a little rustic which adds to the charm. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time, relaxing by the pool or being entertained with a cooking demonstration and rum tasting. At times the resturant may have been understaffed and the portion size of some meals such as the BBQ Lion Fish was small but they made up for it with friendly service with a smile.

A fantastic experience thanks to an amazing staff at a stunning resort

I decided to book a 10 day trip to Grenada over Christmas following a rather difficult year personally involving a few too many bereavements and all that they entail. I was nervous about being so far from my London home, friends and partner for Christmas, but felt that a truly restful break was what I needed to draw a line under 2016. I had previously visited Grenada two years earlier with Grenadian friends, but I still felt a little worried about being lonely on Christmas day.I need not have worried!During my time at True Blue I was so well looked after by some of the most professional and caring people I have ever met in the hospitality industry. In terms of physical comfort, my absolutely stunning room was equipped with two huge flat screen TVs - one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom (King sized bed). The bath was in the bedroom - I cannot explain how excited I was about that! The bathroom had a huge waterfall style shower with fabulous toiletries (needn't have brought what I did)and the whole place was incredibly spacious with a beautiful veranda outside where I spent most of my evenings. Had I wanted, I could have cooked Christmas dinner in the wonderfully equipped kitchen. But then there was the restaurant and bar overlooking the boats in the bay and serving fabulous food all day long. My biggest problem was managing to try it all (I didn't) after such a wonderful breakfast each day.I have tried to remember as many names as possible, but it's important to say that every single member of staff at True Blue should be thanked for what they do as they do it so very well. Leah, Evita and Akim in the restaurant and bar, Tanisha and Simone, Esther who delivered my breakfast omelette before I even ordered it, Sheryl who kept my beautiful room immaculate, Edge in the bar, the ladies in the spa who do the most wonderful treatments, and Hector the gardener who explained to me what he was doing when I got nosey! And particularly Thomas who I befriended on Day 1 and who checked in on me throughout my stay. Okay, so I had a lovely time, but you should also know that it's the ethos upon which the entire resort is based that contributes to the wonderfully caring vibe - a feeling that is pervasive across this beautiful island. The Fieldens have created a rare thing - a business which claims to and truly does prioritise people and the environment. As a result, it felt as though I was staying with family rather than a money making resort. On Boxing Day, for example, the hotel hosts children from the local children's home along with the children of True Blue employees. And the owners have funded the building of a primary school on the island to provide additional places following Hurricane Ivan.Yoga classes take place in a stunning tree top studio overlooking the bay, the dive school is right there on the dock, you can get driven to the main beach each morning should you so wish but you can also just sit in Dodgy Docks or on a giant swing seat and watch the world sail by while sipping a rum punch and eating cinnamon ice cream.I could say more but what I would say is that if you want to experience the spirit of Grenada, by which I mean the genuine warmth, hospitality and care of the islanders, then this is where to do it.Thank you to all the staff at True Blue. I had an exceptional experience and am already planning a return visit.

Great eco-friendly resort

Stayed at True Blue for a week in an Oceanfront room. Very spacious room, great views of the marina and convenient to the lobby, the dive shop, the beach and the pool. Owner Russ was very kind and spent some time telling us about his experience during Hurricane Ivan. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the staff on duty for new year's eve that helped us find a missing cellphone. They even helped us book a rental car before coming, when all the car companies online were booked. I would definitely recommend having a car if you stay here, as it is a few minutes driving from the heart of the town. The infinity pool overlooking the bay was pretty cool. Enjoyed looking for shells on the tiny beach near there. Fireworks at stroke of midnight were an extra special treat. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
