From the very first warm welcome to the final day of departure, we could not fault any member of the team. No communication problems, cheerful and enthusiastic response in respect of any queries, and the concierge team was a veritable treasure trove of information about the City, what to do and where to go.A very traditional, and somewhat old fashioned hotel - but all the better for that! - ideally located for both the Metro and bus routes, whilst within reasonable walking distance of many of the attractions The public rooms, lounge and reading rooms were reasonably spacious and well and comfortably fitted out. Our bedroom was comfortable, although somewhat on the dark side with minimalist lighting - which made it difficult to read in bed - but they came up trumps by supplying a standard lamp which helped to resolve the problem. As often occurs there were no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room, which was a shame, although room service was fast and efficient
Extremely well located at the heart of the major shopping streets of Rome.Almost walking distance to the most important touristic attraction.Old style hotel was formerly a guest house for Royalties. From the ,furniture , design an atmosphere bring back to good old days.Staff very friendly. Service very good . Breakfast exclusive.Highly recommended .
My wife & I have visited Rome several times over the years so were delighted to return and stay at the Hotel d'Inghilterra. The staff were attentive and courteous, the hotel was elegant. Although our room was small it was quite adequate. The Bond bar intimate with a great atmosphere, superbly run - we enjoyed it everyday. We opted to have our meals in Cafe Romano, the in-house restaurant that I cannot recommend highly enough. The food is of the highest quality, superbly cooked and beautifully presented - it made our holiday complete thanks to staff and to the chef!! Of course this experience doesn't come cheap but I believe it represents value for money!! I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!! Stayed 10-13 May 2017
I visited this hotel in January 2016. I don't know how it's rated a 5 star hotel. What is special about it ? Too much noise in the room from the upper level when moving. Be careful when you move not to disturb other guests. The ceiling is vibrating so watch your steps. I have been to MANY 5 stars hotels in Dubai, Italy, Munich, Switzerland, Austria, etc & this was the worst 5 star hotel. If it's a 4 or 3 star hotel it will be fine & expected. The chair which is in front of the bed was broken so When I sat down I fell from it, very old chair. Make sure when you check in to check the chair is not broking.
Stayed here 3 nights on luxury escapes, good size twin room with nice size bathroom. Staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay that much better. The breakfast was exquisite one of the best I've had in Europe. Lunch and dinner in their restaurant was perfect, not cheap but worth it. Hotel is in a great location, quite close to the Spanish steps with good shopping all around. Doorman knew exactly where everything was that we wanted to do and see. Highly recommend this hotel.
