Great location near public transport and taxis. Friendly staff and good food. Reasonoble prices for a hotel. From the airport with the train to Trastevere , and from there with the bus to the hotel within 1 hours.
Modern, comfortable, clean hotel and efficient, friendly, helpful staff. Located in a safe and friendly suburb of Rome with cheap and excellent transport links to the rest of the City and plenty of cafes, bars, shops and places to eat nearby. Make sure you visit the Trastevere District, which you can walk to from the Hotel.(Signage in Rome is scarce - make sure you have a plan, as much info. from the hotel staff and a map before you set off anywhere. Also we wouldn't bother with the 'Sightseeing Bus' again - it's expensive and you can walk to almost all of the attractions, probably quicker. Street and café food is fantastic quality and very reasonable - give it a go.)PS: Thank you again for the bottle of birthday Prosecco.
A good walk into Rome Centre but do provide a free shuttle bus. About 15 mins ride. Very clean and modern, seemed a quiet little town. We did go late in the year though. A little off the beaten track but 5 mins walk to noise and activity. we booked bed and breakfast only and was good. Great restaurants to seek out in the evening from our Rome centre trips. I would revisit this hotel.
We stayed for 5 days in September. The hotel was very clean and staff were helpful. Very modern and rooms which were a decent size. The only negative thing I would say about the hotel would be the location/ public transport links. There was a bus stop 5-10 min walk away which took you Altare Della Patria, however the buses (no. 170) were often unreliable or too busy to get on. You have to buy bus tickets at newsagents for 1.50€. A train station was a 15 minute walk, trains were a lot more reliable and pleasant in comparison to the buses and only 1€ to the Vatican. On check out we got charged 60€ for city tax (6€ per day per person) so keep this in mind when you check out - we did know this in advance though. We enjoyed our stay, and even got a free bottle of prosecco on my birthday! Will definitely stay with H10 hotels in the future.
First, I must say that the hotel staff at H10 Roma Citta are wonderful and I thank them for their hard work. Our check-in was efficient and quick and since we arrived quite early in the morning they were kind enough to hold our luggages until our room was ready, which gave us the opportunity to explore the neighborhood. They have a nice bar area where you can get an early morning cappuccino or tea to start the day without having to pay for breakfast offered in their dining room. Also, after site seeing it was nice to go back to the hotel and relax with a cocktail before getting ready for dinner. The bar area also offers lunch/dinner items, which we didn't try but the burgers and fries looked pretty good! Before we arrived I thought I had done enough research but unfortunately I was not familiar with this area of Rome and I wish I had been a bit more detailed in my online searches. The hotel clearly lets you know (as do all the other reviews) that it is out of the center of the city, which held no problems for us because after site seeing all day you want to go back to some peace and quiet away from the craziness of the city, and I can confirm that the hotel does offer this to its guests. However, I did not realize how commercialized the area around the hotel was and honestly I did not feel too safe walking around there at night. To be clear, I have stayed in other parts of Rome, for example a 10 minute walk from Termini station and although some may think that area is a bit sketchy too I felt safer because there were so many other hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes open and many people/tourists walking around even late at night. I must add we were there in August, when most businesses including restaurants and cafes are closed for a few weeks so it was probably a bit quieter than usual. The hotel offers a taxi service for a discounted rate, which we did use and it's quite convenient. They have a cool pool area upstairs, but its not very big and gets quite crowded, but again it was so so hot during our stay and i'm sure the pool water was a much needed refreshment for all the guests. I wish I could say I would be back, but I would probably try and find a place closer to the heart of Trastevere. For all those who said they walked to sites from the hotel's location, well hats off to you because that's quite a walk especially in the crazy summer heat Rome experienced this past summer. I know we couldn't have done it, which is why we took advantage of the hotel's taxi service. Again, it's a great hotel, which is new, modern and clean but it just wasn't the right fit for us this time around.
