We arrived on a saturday for what was supposed to be a two night stay. We arrived quite late, but the man on reception was very nice and expecting us. We were given a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in our room as an apology for the lift being out of order. Unnecessary but much appreciated. The hotel was spotless! there was always someone cleaning! The room wasn't huge but it was very clean and had everything you would need. My only minor gripe would be that it was very warm and we couldn't quite seem to figure out how to turn the heating down. Breakfast was nothing to shout about but it was perfectly adequate. Our flights home on the Monday got cancelled, and the hotel were fantastically helpful in booking us to stay another night and helping us to organise new transfers to the airport the next day. The location was great. Lots of local bars and restaurants to choose from (I highly recommend IlTunnel which is about 5 minutes walk away), and the hotel is only a ten minute metro ride away from all the attractions of Rome. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Stayed for two nights with my boyfriend the end of November. We stayed in a room on the ground floor which I was disappointed with at first as there were no windows so there was no natural light. I quickly got over this given that I knew we would be doing a lot of sight seeing and would be spending very little time during the day in the hotel. The wifi was good. However the internet on the tv didn't work. There was one channel showing programmes in english. The breakfast was really nice; lots of pastries, ham, chesse, cakes and juice. There was only machine coffee available which wasn't great. There was a mini bar in the room which reasonable prices for soft drinks, wine, beer and snacks. It was nice to have this convenience on our holiday. The location is good, a ten minute walk from Bologna Metro. I would stay here again given the price is reasonable.
We stayed here for 3 nights. When arriving the concierge happily spoke to us in English. Our room was a good size with a lovely ensuite. The room and hotel was in good condition and we felt it was good value for money. The only downside I found was the toilet paper provided as it was sheet paper (one sheet at a time, not on a roll)The room heating seemed to be controlled centrally which meant it was always toasty - which was good except at night when my partner and I got quite hot.The breakfast provided was good with plenty of food selection (toast, ham, cheese, croissants, pastries, bread rolls, pancakes, juice, fresh fruit, coffee etc)The hotel is a 10min walk from both Bologna and Tiburtina stations which we used to get around.
I was told the hotel had it's own car parking - not true. Small hotel, very small room & extremely basic. Staff helpful but unhappy, no pleasantries from them.Dated, tired, grubby corridors and room.
Stayed here with my wife for three days in September, and was first given a room on the ground floor with no windows and reeking of cigarette smoke.I told them straight away at reception, and was changed to another room.I got the impression that this happens quite regularly !!.The new room was o.k.,and while there was a coffee maker, there was no kettle to make tea.The bathroom was clean and tidy, but the shower was very small, and no matter how you closed the shower door, water pooled on the bathroom floor.Breakfast was adequate, but limited in choice, and nothing special.Overall the hotel was just about o.k.,but would go elsewhere on next visit.
