I've got a room on the ground floor that had NO WINDOW! They denied to change it at the reception. The shower was dirty and bad smelling. Even though it supposed to be nonsmoking room, it seemed the client before smoked there.
Place is ten minute walk if you know where you are heading which is pretty much straight out of the Bologna metro stop. Take the via delle province exit the one on the far right as you exit the metro. Location okay and feels a little out of the way in the 'local' part of Rome. Place is clean and so was the room. Don't be surprised if you find two beds pushed together. We used it as a base and found the breakfast adequate to last us until midday. Breakfast starts at 7am I would try and get early to get the choice pick of tables and food. And an early start to get to the sights. Nothing shouted absolutely amazing and I get the feeling we paid for what we got.staff were really friendly and helped us plan our days. The area does have restaurants walking distance but personal choice for future visits and recommendations (depending on what you are looking for)is to choose something a little more central to the sights. All in all a good stay
We arrived Friday afternoon via train from the airport, then metro. The hotel was 10 minutes easy walk from Bologna station. I'd emailed in advance to request a balcony room, as I'd read average reviews of the ground floor rooms. The hotel had a great first impression, with the foyer modern and clean. The 3rd/4th floor rooms were also very good - clean and functional, although the coffee machine was full of water that looked like it had been there for a long time.....The staff were excellent, especially those that served us drinks in an evening, when we sat and played cards before and after dining at the local restaurants. We spent 3 out of 4 evenings there as the drinks were such good value, and the foyer was so nice!Rome itself was fab - we had an Omnia card/Roma pass which enabled us to jump queues and use all public transport as well as hop on/ hop off buses. The hotel made our trip perfect.
A decent hotel that seems more like a three star place. The Good:Relatively clean hotel with larger bathroom area.Location is outside of most attractions but easy to get to the Metro. The Not So Good:Kinda hard to find, and hard to get to by car.Parking is a nightmare, made worse by the hotel. They said to hunt for a space outside the front, but neglected to mention how many spaces they had for the hotel. We apparently parked just a few spaces outside of their spots and were ticketed. Their response was a shoulder shrug and a look that said "sucks for you." When asked how to pay this ticket written in Italian, they said they didn't know, but try asking a tobacco shop. Thanks guys! The bathroom appeared to have black mold on the ceiling due to poor ventilation. The shower was tiny and had flimsy doors that leaked all over the floor.I will add that we were in a handicap accessible room on the first floor, which may be different than others. The bed was also not comfortable.Recommendation:Stay somewhere else. Pay the extra money for a five star near the attractions
Very friendly staff, rooms were spotless nice area out in the garden to drink and relax is also good for smokers, metro is around 10 minutes away, the buses are also very good, the prices in the hotel are good.
