We reached late in the night, our room was ready. The staff went above and beyond to re-open at midnight as I was not feeling well and needed some hot tea. 1) Location - We booked this hotel as a part of accorhotels website. What we did not realize was the hotel is quite far from major attractions and took almost 40 minutes to reach any place. However, the bus stop is a mere 300 m away and lot of restaurants are right around the corner towards the right. The neighborhood to the left can be very quiet at night, so I preferred to stay to the right.2) Amenities - The decor, Ac worked perfectly. The hotel was also helpful in keeping our luggage while we went out for a while post check-out. The breakfast was not great, I must admit I was disappointed. There were not many options to choose from. The staff were very helpful and we paid extra to stay a couple of hours extra, which I think was a little expensive. The decor is modern and rooms are simple, not a grand hotel nor is it charming. I'd go for 3/5 as its not a great place, but decent and modest in terms of budget!
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights during a very cold spell in January 2017 and found the room on the fifth floor clean and tidy if a little small. There was a very large towel radiator in the bathroom and as there was no radiator in the bedroom we left the interconnecting door open most of the time and stayed reasonably warm. The shower was more than adequate and had a sliding shower door and plenty of lighting. The top floor breakfast room had good views and we always found a seat around 0900 hrs. Plenty on offer with the continental breakfast where you could prepare your own fresh orange juice. Coffee in abundance. Staff all very helpful although you had to ask to be served at the bar at the entrance as it is not continually staffed. Having said that when I ordered a Scotch I was given a very generous measure. The Metro is fairly handy but not if you have any mobility problems. A 72 hour Roma Pass for travel only costs 18 Euros per person for unlimited travel on the Metro, trams and 'buses so being some way from the centre of the City was not a problem for us. Crossing the roads can be a bit of a problem as traffic doesn't stop unless it is traffic light regulated and only stops otherwise if you actually step out on the 'Zebra' crossing. Just follow the locals and all is fine. Good small supermarket across the road if you want anything and some local restaurants although we always ate near the 'attractions' and if you explore the side streets you can find some little gems. Transport to and from the airport can be expensive and in our case unreliable but it is easily done by public transport for a fraction of the cost if you use the Roma Pass. Not the best hotel we have ever stayed in but then it is very cheap and for what we paid we found the whole experience, including the quirky reception area, very acceptable. There is a free safe but one of the buttons is on the inside of the door so when initially setting your code it can be very confusing. Wi-Fi is free and good.
We are not fussy people. We had 14 days during Christmas period in this hotel, decision based on TripAdvisor reviews and photos.Disappointment is the word that defines our staying there. The heating system (only air conditioned, this is Italy) is obviously old and dated, unclean and FULL of all the dangers. The bathroom heating stops every night according manager decision, have to chose between cold, unpleasant room and suffocation by infect air conditioned system. We had a large room with balcony at the 5 store, so called renovated zone.On the hall lingering smell of mold and dampness.Constant uproar created by workers who were renovating junior suite next door - every 4 first evenings, till 10 p.m. Walls are paper thin, but you knew that from TripAdvisor.Doors scraped everywhere around, windows are white plastic edges disgustingly dirty. The movie star is the breakfast room. Its ambient temperature is like outside, but would be better to have our breakfast on the front sidewalk. Why?They thought a stupid system of garlands with colorful lights flashing all the time, there is a neon bulb or two which combined with the fair reminded makes you not see anything after a few minutes. However, very poor quality cut meets and cheese, only yogurt, fruits and orange juice to be mentioned as good and very good.Delle Province has in so many ways the allure of a 2-star hotel clumsy and unprofessional managed. We whish good luck to all future guest in this hotel!
Nice hotel at good location and at good price, with great rooftop breakfast room, but a but cold in December. Our room was big enough, but some renovation would be useful. Staff was helpful and friendly,
We stayed here for three days and had a mixed experience. The hotel is quite quirky in its décor and we enjoyed that. The room we had was a reasonable size, clean and tidy and the bed reasonably comfortable. However, there was three pillows, so my husband had two and I was left with only one. When we asked for one more we were told they didn't have any. We also had a ground floor room with no window, except onto the corridor outside. This got very hot, even in October, and the air-con did nothing to change that. The curtains were very thin and the corridor lights were on all night so it didn't get dark enough in our room for me. The bathroom was nice and big and the shower plenty warm enough, but not nearly powerful enough, and the shower curtain was a bit old. The staff behind the desk in reception were a mixed bunch. The evening staff were much more friendly and helpful and willing to answer questions and offer recommendations for places to eat locally. The morning staff were a bit grumpy. The breakfast room was on the sixth floor. There was a tiny lift and a long wait for it. If you went at the right time there was plenty of continental breakfast food to choose from but if you timed it wrong everything was empty. And my fussy children barely ate anything. It was also a bit of a lottery as to whether there was anywhere to sit or not. There is quite a walk to the nearest underground station. Still, it was cheap and so we didn't mind much. Like I said - good in parts.
