Pros:Beautiful views from sea view room, pool and barBed very comfyRoom we had was spacious and clean with balconyContinental breakfast options were goodFree shuttle to town - though timetable not brilliantBottle of sparkling wine in bedroom - which is amazingly freeAir on working well although only temps were 20 to 22 degrees Cons:Prices horrendous (detail below)To far to walk anywhere easily (beach, town etc)This hotel is truly beautiful inside and out. It is very clean and most staff we experienced were perfectly approachable though could be quite "to the point" though think this is more cultural or a language barrier so wasn't a major problem for us. There is however a huge issue with this hotel which is the pricing. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel once as the price just didn't justify what we could get in town. Copper to (service charge) at dinner is 10 euros per person. So we would have paid 20 euros before picking up a knife and fork regardless of what we were going to eat. Lunch was also very expensive and the quality was shocking for what you pay for I.e a ham and cheese toastie cost 14 euros. However what you get is a cold ham and cheese sandwich in white triangle bread. This is not good enough for the price you pay. Other examples include: Green salad - 14 euros. Soft drinks 5 euros for a can of coke! Very rare to see people drinking at the bar during the day. 33cl bottle of beer 5 euros. As I mentioned these prices were well outside of what we found acceptable so we went into town quite a lot. In town prices and food are brilliant. Beautiful (large) pizzas for 10 euros, spritz cocktails 5 euros (9 at the hotel). You could also but 66cl bottles of peroni in town for 1.50 euros (twice as much beer for 3.50 euro less than the hotel!). You can smuggle these back in to the hotel room which has a fridge!Coperto in town also much less at average 2 euros per person.Places in town to recommend are:Risto Pub VietriMirimar bar (for aperitifs drinks, next door to Risto Pub)In summary, great place to stay certainly if you upgrade to sea view room , well worth it! However if you are looking to spend no more than 10 euros a head for lunch and 15 to 20 per head at dinner without having to travel to town via shuttle then this hotel is not for you!If you find this review helpful please thumbs up :-)
We stayed here for two nights and this is simply not a 5 star hotel. It does have a nice view and decent breakfast but thats all it has. The classic room we had looks nothing like the photo on their website and is so outdated. Tv didnt work, lightbulb flickering. It was suppose to have hillside view, but it didnt mention looking into straight into a wall and noisy AC unit. The staff at the pool have no idea what customer service is and everything is too much to ask. Even if asked very politely. From the afternoon on this hotel is completely in the shades and gets cold. We stayed in much better hotels in the area for much less per night. I spend 50 nights per year in hotels and some hotels never fail to surprise me...
Got back two weeks ago after spending four nights at this resort. Firstly, after arriving from a slightly delayed flight and an hours drive from the airport I expected at least a welcome refreshment from what's meant to be a 5 star hotel, all we received was a telling off for parking in the wrong place. The room was adaquate but small and the shower is a joke for anyone over 5 feet tall. My view was onto a concrete wall. The food is very small portions and not suitable for vegetarians as there is no choice available. The spaghetti I had was so undercooked it was a struggle to chew and the price for this was astonishing. The lift down to the pool only worked on our first day and then a notice was put up to say it was out of order. This hotel was more concerned about its wedding functions, which seemed to be every night, than its guests. The hotel was nice and clean and the views over the bay are wonderful. Most of the staff would benefit from going on a customer service course as they were not interested in any of the holidaymakers, in fact not one person asked me where I was from or am I having a nice stay which you would normally get from a 5 star hotel, in fact, one or two staff were downright rude.In my own view I would rate this hotel as about a 3 star but with some proper guidance it could easily be back to 5 star
Beautifully placed with a view of Gulf of Salerno and the lovely city of Vietri (that I warmly recommend to visit). Stuff of the SPA makes everyone feel like a movie star. They offer a good selection of treatments, pool, saunas, jacuzzis, etc.
I got married here on the 7th July 2017 and cannot thank the staff for the most amazing wedding that I could of ever imagined!! Professional staff, sensational food and entertainment. I had a wedding planner at my side provided by the the hotel as part of their service ensuring everthing went smoothly. We were a very large group staying at this hotel for 4 nights and they went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. I would highly recommend this hotel as a wedding location you are guaranteed not to be dissapointed! Special thanks to Felice the owner who helped make our day special, Elena and all the staff at banqueting and Pina at Reservations for organising all our rooms. Everything went better than what we expected. THANK YOU!!! GRAZIE
