So beautiful view

Very beautiful hotel, if you choose room with view, you have in front of you wonderful Salerno gulf with the blue colour of sea in your eyes, staff is very kind, the location is strategic to visit amalfi coast, breakfast is pretty good and is served in all window hall so you can admire all nature scenery of this part of coast, very important to me all the hotel was very warm now in november so I felt very comfortable, I suppose it should be very cool in the summer, I definitevely hope to be at Raito Hotel once again.

Lovely Views from Hotel

The hotel grounds are facing the coast with a lovely view. We enjoyed our balcony a great deal! The room was a pinch small but very clean. The bed and bedding were great. They charge to use the indoor pool and the outdoor was to cold to swim in (Mid Nov). The breakfast was WONDERFUL.

You could do better

I should preface this by saying it is off season, rainy and cold. The hotel is far away from everything and requires transportation which is expensive. The spa is closed until 4PM, no place to get lunch, no small shop to get a snack. Had occasion to walk through the lobby at 2PM and saw no one.No acknowledgement from the reception staff or inquiry as to whether they could help me.It is probably better to stay near the town if you find yourself here.

Great views and good service

This hotel has some poor reviews and I cant understand why. It is in a great location overlooking the amalfi coast at Salerno. It has good public spaces, wifi - ok not business grade but is a holiday hotel! Breakfast is good. There are two pools and plenty of terraces to sit on. Loads of parking too.The shuttle to town goes several times a day and if you're u need a taxi they are easy to get too.The only negative was a little discoloured grouting in the bathroom. Fixable without much effort, but really it's a very small thing.I think some reviewers have been very picky!

Autumn Break

My wife and I booked a week in the Hotel Raito at the end of September 2016, we had arranged a private transfer from the airport in Napoli and arrived quite late in the evening. We had been travelling all day and were quite hungry, the hotel restaurant was just closing but they agreed to keep the kitchen open so we could order something. From check in to check out the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was quite large and was located on one of the lower levels across the car park, the room had a great view over towards the Port of Salerno. In the morning there was a great view of the sun rise over the bay.The breakfasts were excellent and although I tried to keep to the healthy options, there lots of temptations, the breakfast staff were on hand to help and provide tea and coffee. again the view from the breakfast terrace or room was of the sun rising over the bay, beautiful !After a good breakfast we caught the hotel's free shuttle down to Vietri sul Mare (best to book the shuttle at reception as there are limited places) You could also catch a local bus (get your tickets first) and if you want there is a footpath that will lead you down to the beach. It was not easy to find but the exploring was all part of it.You could also catch a train from Vietri; towards Napoli there was Pompeii or in the other direction you could head off towards Salerno, again get you tickets first from one of the local shops (tobacconists) Both Pompeii and Salerno were fun to visit and explore, well worth a trip. Buses could be caught to Amalfi and the other towns along that part of the coast. Buses and trains were both very reasonable in cost. The pools and bars were good for relaxing, the restaurant at the hotel was on the expensive side, but the food was very good especially if you enjoy seafood. A cheaper option was to go into Vietri and spend the evening in one of the many restaurants. The only things that stop the hotel from getting a mark of 5 are the shuttle could run more frequently and the prices in the restaurant and bar were a little on the high side, nevertheless I would definitely recommend for any visit to The Amalfi Coast or Salerno areas.
