Beautiful resort, the grounds and the rooms are beautiful kept . All of the restaurants were great , the food and the staff . Staff could not have been nicer . Must try big births it is a big couch like seat pulled by a speed boat , all kind of water sports . And a lot of relaxation . If you want to get a good spot on the beach , get your stuff on the beach chairs by 6.00 to 6.30 am. Only 1 thing wasn't great was the main building is 3 stories and had no elevator , other than that it was a great time.

Another week in Paradise

My wife and I spent five delightful days at Sandals Negril. This was our fourth visit, and pretty much knew what to expect. Hopefully this review will be helpful to future visitors.During our stay, we ate at the Bayside, Barefoot By The Sea twice, the Japanese restaurant, and the Italian restaurant. All were good; not exactly five star dining, but certainly good enough. The Bayside is great for breakfasts and lunch; plenty of variety to satisfy anyone's food cravings with loads of fresh choices for breakfast and lunch. We ate dinner there once; it was OK, but not good enough to repeat. The hit of the Bayside is Kendra, who has been referenced in other Trip Advisor reviews; she is warm, charming, and competent; she knew nothing about reviews referencing her on Trip Advisor, and was thrilled when I showed her some of her reviews using an Ipad.Barefoot By The Sea was our favorite; I had grilled Blue Marlin twice! House wine is Robert Mondavi, which was just fine with us.The Japanese restaurant, Kimonos, is a typical cook it at your table affair, but the notable part was the attention to detail. My wife is allergic to fish, but not seafood. She was concerned eating at a restaurant where everything is prepared on the same grill, but our chef went out of his way to cook the fish dish last so as not to contaminate the grill...very, very considerate! The beach was just fine; just remember, if you do not have a butler, getting your chairs reserved before 6:30 a.m. insures a shady location. Not a big deal...we're up way before then anyway, and the beach was just a short walk from our room. Plenty of towels available all day long, although a little scarce first thing in the morning. We resorted to grabbing a few towels on our way back from dinner for use in the morning, and that worked just fine. The staff is just terrific; always smiling and eager to help and answer questions. It would be nice if there were some control over people bringing their boom boxes to the beach. Pretty annoying listening to other people's blaring music while trying to nap or read. Some people either have no consideration for others; they're the center of the universe.Snorkeling is OK, but it certainly is not like the great barrier reef. When we were there, they were using a glass bottom boat for snorkeling, and that was a problem. The boat has no way to lower oneself into the water; as our captain said, "just jump in". I did this the first time, and was shocked by the temperature of the water and started hyperventilating; No help from the ship's crew other that telling me grab the side of the boat and get back in. Very scary for me; there should be people trained to get into the water in situations like this. The next day, we tried "snuba", sort of like snorkeling with an air hose. Our guide was Tyrone, and after I explained what happened the previous day, he was in the water with me, and never left my side! I had no repeat episode of the day before, and it was a great experience for a person who had never scuba dived.Well, that's probably more than anyone wants to know, but there you have it!!

Wonderful trip to Sandals Negril!

We just got back from 7 days at Sandals Negril. We stayed in a butler suite above the Crystal Lagoon section. Our view was awesome! Our butlers Chris & Chemoy were so helpful with questions and making our stay wonderful! The resort is beautiful and so relaxing. We miss it already! I would definitely recommend this resort to others!
