We stayed at the Lady Hamilton side, and it was fantastic! We were upgraded from the Jamaican side and it was such a nice treat. We also were treated like royalty. The grounds were always being looked after. They did a fairly good job with cleaning up the garbage's which didn't take long to get stuffed full of Styrofoam plates, etc. especially around the outdoor bbq area. If you did see plastic cups, plates or napkins left around, its a result of the absent minded guests who carelessly leave their garbage behind. (ei. seemed to happen a lot of the Jerk Hut area which had lots of accessible garbages.) My husband liked the Jerk Hut Chicken, it was very good spicy flavour he said. The steakhouse was a fail the first time we went and we did let them know. It was more in the presentation of the food, as we ordered a meal and it came missing some of the key items it said it would have in the menu. (ei. french onion soup, no croutons, or cheese!!). The waiter just said they were out and that's about all there is to it. The second last night, we tried it again, and this time it passed all expectations. Buffet was good, lots to choose from. Coffee bar was great, lots of delectable treats and coffee liqueurs. We didn't see the entertainment but the upstairs themed entertainment was fun. The Sunset Cove was our fav place to hang out, it was quieter and had a better beach. There are three beaches and the one infront of the hotel had coral which you had to be careful. The Sunset Cove beach you could go snorkeling. You could rent (25$ US refundable deposit) a snorkel set at the little water sport shack.I would recommend this place for people who don't want to be right in Montego Bay as it's at least 35 minutes south out of the city towards Negril. The waters are clear blue and warm with fantastic sunset views. I especially liked our day trip to Mayfield Falls which is about a good hour and half into the countryside. Beautiful country side, great little hike, it is quite active so get your water shoes on and test your limits. Our driver was great, he talked about his country, way of life and it was really insightful. Spa was quite nice and relaxing, Treatment was very good and fairly decent priced too. The spa ladies are always outside the main Lady Hamilton lobby too, so just a polite no thank you works pretty well. The kids club was closely accessible and from the kids water park, it looked like they were having fun.I would probably not go back to this hotel with no fault of the hotel but rather would like to explore another part of the island. I would stay at a Grand Palladium elsewhere though with no hesitation. I would recommend this hotel for a family getaway, reunion or friends gathering as it was large with many dining and bar options yet it was nicely laid out and you could find your way around easily enough.
Myself and my partner visited the Lady Hamilton resort in October and it was absolutely amazing I would normally start a review with critiquing where the problems mainly lie and where they need to improve but honestly this was a real challenge for me as I felt that the resort the staff the food the entertainment were all first class. Our room was absolutely glorious lots of space absolutely clean as a whistle security was 2nd to none the walks between the villas and the entertainment areas were not onerous in the slightest. We went to Rick's Cafe for the day which was a real treat I would recommend this. Shawn the pool guy at the adults pool was exceptionally good and deserves a mention. I would highly recommend this resort without hesitation to families and couples alike October was actually a really good month to go albeit rainy season we barely saw a cloud in the sky. Well done Lady Hamilton keep up the good work I'm sure we'll be back to see you soon
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation experience. Loved the view, dinners, music and our excursion to Negril. The Accomodation was luxouriously furnished. Great service from all staff. We have travelled extendsively and found this to be the best accommodation ever !!On the resort you get to experience different beach views. The beach at Sunset Cove is excellent and enjoyed several amazing lunches and dinners there. There are many activities for adults and children. They have a kids club which is amazing. Theatre with dancers Musical too.. Fabulous live music nightly. They also have a beach bon fire once a week. A lovely spa.Our excursion to Negril included beach time, duty free shopping and amazing time at the famous Ruck's Cafe.We were in awe at the fabulous setup. It had a great view, open view bar, live band gift shop, swiiming pool, food and drinks priced reasonably. Our boys had a blast jumping off the cliff, swimming and watching the diver. We all cant wait to go back!
We had a grand time at Grand Palladium, the room, the staff especially Jermaine at the front desk, very helpful and polite individual but most of all the food was fantastic...I will be visiting again very soon
Had I Listened To The Reviews Regarding The Lady Hamilton Resort, I Would Have MISSED One Of The BEST Vacations Of My Life. Let's Start With The Best. The Staff Was The Absolute BEST (I Don't Know Who Those Other People Encountered....My Thoughts, Some Of The Guests Were Just Unnecessarily RUDE To The Staff And The Staff STILL Displayed The Utmost Professionalism and Courtesy). I Would Like To Give A Shout Out To O'Shea, Knute, All Of The Grounds Keepers, All Of The Drivers Of The Shuttles, Anna Marie, Our Housekeeper. As Far As Them Being "Hungry" For Tips.....NOT TRUE...I Ran Out Of Cash Towards The End of My Stay And When I Told The Gentleman At The Beach, I Had No More Cash For Tips, He Said "No Worries, Man" :). The Food...WONDERFUL...We Ordered A Cake For A Birthday Celebration...WONDERFUL. All Of The Specialty Restaurants Were WONDERFUL. Now, The "Not So Goods"....I Did Not Like The Way We You Are Approached For Massages And Once You Decline, You Are Dismissed And Told "None Of The Hydrating Pools Are Available"....I Did Not Like The Approach Of The Travel Club, I Was Definitely Interested In Joining, But If You Did Not Sign Up Right Then And There, You Were Treated Not So Nice.
