If you like great customer service or are a food connoisseur DON'T COME HERE!

I spent the weekend of 2/17-2/19/17 here and I must say I am very disappointed on all levels. This is 100% not a 5 or 4 star resort... It is a 3 at best! The food at the buffet in the morning and afternoon was flavorless and stale. It was almost impossible to find fresh tasty food for breakfast. There is not even a set station for people who would actually like to try the Jamaican cuisine! it is 90% American food and the drinks at the buffet from the cucumber juice, watermelon and OJ were extremely watered down! The service at the buffet is lacking and the cooks making things on the spot were not as friendly as i am used to! The restaurants that you have to make reservations for weren't any better as far as having flavor or some type of creativity. Now the room service! My roommate and I called down at 9am 2/18 for an extra bath towel. The receptionist said that they would send someone but 9:15, 9:30, 9:45 ... I call back and the front desk actually uttered that "laundry isn't finished until 10am" and there aren't any towels available on the entire resort!!! She offered a beach towel and low and behold... no one ever showed up so we used the hand towel after we showered! absolutely absurd for a 4.5star hotel to not have towels until a certain time! I was here for a wedding and part of the wedding party! So we paid for the resort photographer to take photos of the bridal party around the pool area. The photographer quite frankly was very aggressive and rude when giving directions. And to make matters worst the hotel lost all of the pics that we took for the wedding!!! They said a circuit breaker shut down the system and wiped out all of the pics! This is a once in a lifetime event and all the pictures are gone!!!! I don't know what type of 1925 Great Depression technology was used in regards to the photos but this is unacceptable!!! A refund is not enough! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone that i care about! I've stayed at "the spa retreat" "The Riu" "Roundhill Hotel" "Secrets" and they were all way better by far!!!

Hard To Believe

Upon arriving at the Grand Palladium ,we upgraded to the Lady Hamilton . We stayed from 2-14 to 2-19-2017. In the middle of the two story indoor courtyard was a dilapidated fountain which looked like it hadn't worked in years .Our rooms were decent but obviously not well maintained. A big complaint of mine was the rooms as we found were not only poorly cleaned often few if any towels . Plus upon putting our clean room sign out between 8:00&8:30 the rooms were all but one day not cleaned until 4:00&4:30 just rushed through because I watched .One morning I woke late about 900 to a angry hater of a women supervisor unlocking and coming into the room demanding Dirty Wash Clothes I gave her 2 she did not say another word and just left (you can't make this stuff up) There Food is much more like mediocre is stretching it I don't drink alcohol any more but the other 9 in my group did there was plenty of that but myself and5 others got severe diareha from an item we all had at one of the restaurants there's more but most people raved about the place Bartender I will have another . Keeps u Smiling

Amazing.... would defiantly go back!!

The hotel is amazing, great quality food. Couldn't thank the staff enough... Chucky, Subrina, Damoy, Maximo, Spade 45, Nabby, Happy and talawh. Amazing customer service. All the staff are so lovely but I can't exaggerate enough how amazing these members of staff was. I went in a party of 7, the youngest participant being only 10 years old, they was all amazing. I recommend the sunset cove beach, it's set out of the way from the other beaches and pools, so it is very peaceful. But we all had an amazing holiday. Can't thank the staff enough!!

Lovely Resort but

Stayed for three weeks Jan/Feb 2017. First time in Jamaica and we loved the climate. We like to snorkel but so many fishes on the shoreline that we didn't use our masks and snorkels that much. It was when we were on the beach at sunset cove at the end of our first week that I noticed a couple going into the water to snorkel, nothing unusual, except, he carried a harpoon and what appeared to be a knife strapped to his left wrist. They came out of the water about two hours later with a net of about 12 sea urchins and proceeded to eat them.I was shocked to see this and very concerned that two offensive weapons were being used on a beach where there were other people and children. I did report it to beach staff and security but was told that the people in question were guests and weren't hurting me or anyone else.I did write a letter to the hotel manager, I handed it into reception on the evening of 3rd February but did not receive a reply!! I was not only concerned about the safety element but also how this fitted into the hotels environmental policy. We only used the buffet restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed the Italian, Asian, Steak and Fish Restaurant in the evening. The best bar was at the fish restaurant, it was the only one that had any atmosphere. One criticism is that tap water is served at the table, for me that's not acceptable, so I was obliged to take a bottle of water from my room when dining. Also, the beaches are lovely but they do need a bit more maintenance i.e. all rubbish and broken sun beds removed, and tree cuttings!!We did, however, enjoy our holiday.
