Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa

The Hilton Rose Hall is a great family resort for travelers looking for plenty of activities and things to do. The staff at the resort are incredibly pleasant and make a great effort in getting to know their clients. The resort is also most noted for its pools and water parks. Some parts of the waterpark are fashioned with waterslides, making it perfect for kids. There is also a great beach area with plenty of activities to do.
Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa sits on a magnificent beach and boasts the wonderful Cinnamon Hill 18-hole Ocean Championship Golf Course designed by Robert von Hagge. The resort also has Sugar Mill Falls, a fantastic water park and a terrific place for the entire family.
Location: On the beach, 20 minutes to Montego Bay, 10 minutes from the airport.
we hit the perfect 5 days of weather 12th - 16th feb 7th floor overlooking golf course and ocean view rm 727 donnarenna took care of our room meticulously .. the resort is huge and walking is easy to find literally a one to 2 mile route within the grounds ... all staff were just awesome and the food and drink great.. we were just a couple with no kids but the kids around made it fun for us... the staff down at water sports were really accomodating carlos especially was helpful... carlton and denny at the main buffet ( mornings were a joy to be around) I did not have one bartender who was nothing but efficient fast and funny ... great time and a great value
Hilton Rose Hall is a great choice if you have Kids. The Hotel is about 15 minutes from the Montego Bay Airport - cannot beat that for convenience when travelling with Kids. We were 3 families - 6 adults and 6 kids. The Hotel is decent size - not too big. Very nice location with Golf Course, large Pool, good Lazy River with a couple of Water Slides, and lot of Trees along the Beach.Food Choices are typical of most All-Inclusive Hotels --- you will ne tired by the end of Vacation. The Hotel did have different Themes going most Nights -sometimes Dinner was all outside. Daily Live shows were decent. We are not big fans of Reservation-Required Food places --- Menu is usually limited and it is more effort than worth it. There are 3 of these at Hilton if one iss interested in dressing up and making an evening out of it. We tried the Three Palms - good layout and location on a short Hotel Shuttle of 5 minutes. Food was okay at best.Talked to friends who have been to other Hotels --- most of them had issues with going 2 plus hours from AirPort to the Hotel, and you lose more time on the way out.We were there for Christmas vacation - approx. 90% of the people were Families/Kids --- we felt very comfortable letting the Kids free, And the Kids loved it of course. Building is like H shaped --- most Rooms have a decent side View of Ocean from Balcony, If you want frontal view, they have Rooms for a bit higher price. Hotel has like 2 Beach areas - 1 near the Lazy River is smaller and 1 on the far side of the Pier has more open space. Beaches were well maintained and the Pier is pretty well designed for great Views and for peaceful relaxation at night.Drinks were typical of All-Inclusive Hotels -- weak, plenty, and free ! Plenty of Beach Chairs and Cabanas. We did not rent Cabana. Coffee / Tea stocked all the time for the early birds and later nighters. Looks like they are building another facility next door - maybe a choice in a couple of year. Staff members were generally good. Room Service is good. Decent Exercise room that I actually used to compensate for the Buffet Food and Free Drinks ! Hotel is getting a bit old --- but did not miss anything. Went on a walk along the beautiful Golf Course and saw a bunch of hackers hit into the Ocean consistently.Tour Desk on site had good options and tours. Since we were a group of 12, we rented a large Van with Driver and went on our own Tours - worked well for our pace. Day trip to Montego Bay - neighborhoods, local fruit market, and souvenir stores was quick and easy. We also went to Negril with the same driver/van.The Beaches at Hilton were good --- Negril Beaches were simply Great. Well worth the Trip to the other end of the Island. Brilliant Water Colors and miles-long Beaches. Everyone loved it. Decent food choices on the Beach --- expect to wait forever if you are used to US style instant Food !Overall a good Hotel and a good Vacation for us.
The housekeeping staff were on point. The rooms were nice and clean. When speaking with the housekeeping staff they were very friendly and knowledgeable. Whatever you needed they provided. The staff in the restaurants were increditable. They seated where you wanted if available. Anything you asked for they got it, whether it was displayed or not, they would get it. The entertainers got you involved as much as you would let them, singing, dancing, playing games.
Checked in to this hotel on the 11 February for mine and my husbands honeymoon and our first time at this hotel , wasn't the best of first experiences either.....Number 1 Check in process was dreadful and long, i booked through booking.com which was linked to my Facebook so therefore my name would have not been the same name as my passport name as who has there full name on Facebook these days , the guy Kendrick at the front desk couldn't find my reservation and had to draw up a new reservation therefore meaning my booking.com reservation was a no show and I was charged one full night and not only that I had paid for my 6 nights in full before I arrived to Jamaica and because of not correctly putting in my booking.com reservation I was asked for payment again then sent away and told to come back , I went back 10 mins later and he went on to say everything was fine ..... clearly wasn't as I had booked a queen room and it was more like a standard double bedroom ! as a day went on I checked my bank and the hotel seemed to have refunded me and then sent a slip through my hotel room room door saying urgent we need payment ! not only did I pay for my trip I was refunded the money then asked to pay again what is the logic in that ! all because Kendrick couldn't do his job properly and look at my booking.com reservation correctly ! Number 2 The room was not up to standards I'm afraid .... cleanliness of the shower and bath was poor. There was signs of dirt around the plug of the bath and the shower head was grimmy and rusky! Number 3The buffet restaurant could have had a wider range of food instead of near enough same every night, I was sick a numerous of nights due to the food , only good thing to eat was at lunch time at the two cafe parts near the lazy riverOnly good thing going for this hotel is the scenery around the hotel and the lazy river ! And that's about it, won't be booking this hotel again and it made a big impact on my honeymoon !
First time to Jamaica loved it very friendly lot to do only problem but a big one for me no room service after 11pm they have a snack bar that is open until 2 am that was nasty can't get food until 7 am so I felt like I did not have a choice but to eat what was given it really made my vacation bad to not be able to at least order some thing to my room. I should be able to at least have some sort of dalvery menu if you don't want to serve you guest food or have a 24 hour store to buy snack something not just let me starve on my vacation.
