This wonderful Iberostar hotel is nestled on a stunning tropical beach in beautiful and lively Montego Bay. Built with elegant Colonial architecture, this is the first Iberostar property with an ocean view orientation, so many spectacular views of the sea are visible throughout the hotel. With its world-renowned food and service, numerous activities and relaxing hideaways, this is sure to be a favourite with Canadians.
My husband and I just returned from an amazing vacation where we stayed at the Iberostar Grand at Rose Hall Jamaica. We loved everything about it! The staff was extremely and sincerely attentive to our every need. The restaurants were fabulous!!! We especially enjoyed the endless, delicious choices offered at the Cornwall Buffet! Three of our waiters, Mikhail, Germaine and Elroy were especially remarkable!!! They were beautiful, considerate and incredibly polite; and made each of our meals a delightful experience. We loved our time there!
Just got back from 5 glorious days at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall. Can't say enough about how thrilled we were with our experience there. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with smiles and service beyond compare. We were escorted to our room and given a brief overview of the facilities along the way. Our room butler arrived promptly to go over the features of the room with us and to share all the services he and the night time butler could provide. They covered all bases...from customizing the contents of our room mini bar and in room snack area to offering us the opportunity to choose our bed pillows from an extensive pillow menu. The Room - Our ground level room was very spacious and had a lovely sitting area complete with chaise. We had a covered patio outside a full wall of sliders that looked at the pools and gave us a glimpse of the ocean beyond. I was initially worried that our proximity to the pool might make for a noisy room for sleeping at night but the clientele was as respectful as the staff. No noisy late night pool parties. The bathroom was extremely spacious with separate vanities for my husband and I. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that there could be more bathmats to cover the sometimes slippery floor in the bathroom...only one was provided. Rather than ask for more (which I'm sure would have been "no problem milady") we brought in pool tools and covered the ground easily. The Food - Awesome. We dined in the Italian, Gourmet and Surf and Turf restaurants during our stay. All were delicious fine dining experiences - but the Surf and Turf was truly exceptional - soup to nuts. The buffets at breakfast and lunch also did not disappoint. Made to order eggs and crepes were two favorites - but each day offered a wide variety of smoothies, fruit juices, entrees, pastries, etc. I can't imagine a person not being able to find plenty of things to satisfy their appetites. The Pool and Grounds - Terrific. We enjoyed the pools thoroughly. The water temp was delightful, the floats, chairs, towels, lotion (all SPF levels) readily available and there was a steady stream of waitstaff checking in with us to make sure that all our needs were met. I have been to several all-inclusive resorts in the last 15 or so years and the Iberostar Grand experience was by far the very best we ever had. I can't wait to go back.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was one of his best trips. This was my 2nd time at the hotel and everything was the same. Staff goes above and beyond, food is amazing, beach is perfect, and the entertainment is great. The poolside BBQ's are the best with fresh lobster tail and jerk chicken. Prior to arrival the staff helped me set up some special excursions as well so feel free to email them so you can get all of the planning out of the way. You can also register online and pre-pick the liquor you want your open bar stocked with. You can also take a free 30min boat ride, all you have to do is sign up!! For a special occasion let them know. They decorated the room, ran a rose petal bath for us, along with a complimentary bottle of champagne. They also sent dessert to the room as well. I have nothing but good things to say and can't wait to go back!King bedOcean front suiteSept 1-6, 2016Adults only
We visited in June, 2017. We had stayed at their site in the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, in 2015, and were totally impressed. We are glad we went back. On a comparative basis, I rate this one just a tad under the DR site, but still pretty darned good. The rooms were very nice. We only tried breakfast room service on the first morning, but were not impressed. The breakfast buffet, however, was great. Our room came with a butler, but no value was added by his presence. There were 2 options for lunch and the food was great. The specialty restaurants were superb. Word of advice-make your reservations prior to your trip. They get booked up and early settings, particularly, are difficult to obtain. At check-in, be prepared for a marketing spiel by the concierge and an invitation to a "special breakfast", which turns out to be a staff member sitting with you during the buffet breakfast and querying you about vacation likes, preferences, etc. Just say 'no' to the offer unless you have an interest in this type of stuff. This location seemed to be a hotbed for destination weddings. Great if you're in the wedding party but they can be loud and boisterous. We didn't encounter this at the DR location. All in all, we enjoyed the heck out of it and would stay at another Grand location if the location and timing were right.
Stayed at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall for a combination vacation and wedding. The amenities at the Grand Rose Hall were very good and the staff is very caring. Barrington was outstanding at check-in and found us a very nice ocean front room. At the buffet breakfast Trainee-Ratterick was an outstanding waiter. Pool bartenders Jerome and Ricardo will make you any type of drink you would like. You can not beat the pool entertainment staff of Hashtag, Baywatch & Narasissa. They will get you involved in any activity you would like. We enjoyed the Surf and Turf and the Jamaican Restaurants the most. The only negative thing I could say was that our bathroom could have used a little freshening up. The wedding that we attended at the Rose Hall Suites was very nice and a lot of fun. The bartender and DJ were outstanding. The trip was very relaxing.
