This wonderful Iberostar hotel is nestled on a stunning tropical beach in beautiful and lively Montego Bay. Valentine's Day Getaway!

We had such a great time on our very first visit last year for our 10th anniversary that my husband booked us again. Last time our room was on the main floor 6220 ocean front no elevator perfect view. This time our room was 5134 still ocean front but one floor down and around the maze. Same room as before 40-50 inch to and superb wifi. Excellent friendly staff. Room was clean but some components could stand for an upgrade. When you enter the lobby the aromatherapy is the bomb and the lobby and bar area are gorgeous. I wish the aromatherapy was piped into the rooms. Because the resort is ocean front you smell the moisture and aromatherapy might help with the smell. The food was excellent the entire stay. The gourmet restaurants were good as well. The pool was ice cold, surely Iberostar could spring for heated pools.All in all we had a great time! I still believe they need their own shuttle like Sandals to pickup and transport to the airport.

Best Vacation ever - didn't want to come home!!

Iberostar Grand is absolutely amazing!! First time in Jamaica and at a Iberostar resort. First off Jamaica is absolutely amazing. Beyond friendly and the people were always so happy and always smiling!Iberostar impressed us right upon arrival. The moment we got off the bus we had drinks and cold towels waiting for us. Upon walking through the sliding glass doors it was beyond beautiful. Check in was great. Junior helped us and not only did he get us through fast, but he was great, and had us laughing the whole time. The rooms were amazing, his and her sinks, amazing balcony's with a swing and couch to relax and look at the ocean and pool. Bar fridge filled daily, and the rooms were always so clean. I can't remember the names of our butlers, but they were always great. Checking in to see if we needed anything, and if everything was going good. Food was beyond what I expected it to be. There food was amazing, with so many options. Between the buffets and the amazing restaurants. We were at the resorts for 10 nights and tried all of them except for the Japanese, and they were all amazing. Entertainment Group - was beyond great. The night shows were amazing. Something different every night. Had the guests involved which is awesome to see. For at the pool, and beach you guys were awesome. You tried your best to get as many people involved as possible. And you all succeeded so well with this. A big shout out to Renae, Vanessa, and Thunda - you guys made our stay that much more better. You guys were always laughing and smiling, and coming around to get everyone involved. You guys had amazing humour and were always having a good time. Can't wait to come back, and see you 3 again!! There is nothing bad I can say about our stay other then home day came way to fast!! Until next time Jamaica Iberostar Grand!!

Pros and Cons

Don/t get me wrong the hotel is still a great place to stay. The food as in all Iberostar's was second to none. Only one thing, they should serve real Maple Syrup and a not a cheap fake fructose syrup for pancakes etc. Fake syrup is not acceptable.The hotel is getting tired and in need of some refurbishing and renovations to bring it up to date. One major irritant is that there are no charging stations for cell phones tablets or computers. The wall plugs are all single outlets and one must unplug a lamp to charge a single device at at time. The rooms were either to hot or to cold air conditioning thermostat did not work and this was in our friends rooms as well. The hallways rugs are worn and some places they are ripped. The butler that we are supposed to have disappeared after the second day. The phone concierge service did a great job fulfilling our requests.The steaks at the surf and turf restaurant was the best I have had in years. The Japanese restaurant is also a must; we went there twice. The only issue we had is that we arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation both times and the hostess was upset and offered us the worst table in the place when in fact all the tables were available. She should find a new job.Another issue we had was with the pillow cases; most of them are too small (shrunk) and the pillow becomes a hard roll. We had to remind the staff daily the have a proper pillow case.The hallways were not kept clean. There were room service dishes left outside rooms for more than a day. There was a coffee cup at an entrance to the wing for the whole week. Carpets were not vacuumed for days at a time.The staff for the most part are the best. Jamaicans are very warm and friendly.

Relaxed and Rejuvenated

I had a great time at the resort. The people are amazing at the hotel. The hotel rooms are a little outdated and could use an upgrade. When saying the resort is upscale and luxury than pay attention to decor. The food was awesome and Surf and Turf was the best. The views of the ocean was marvelous. The drinks outstanding and star preferred was worth it. Visited the Iberostar Club and Bert was a turn off by being pushy and rude. Richard came the next day to apologize and was a breathe of fresh air. Iberostar Club is a timeshare presentation but instead of selling a week they sell discounted visits. Overall I loved our vacation and would go again. Michelle at the customer service desk, Hanson at Iberostar Club, Richard Iberostar Club, and O'shawn security were amazing. I enjoyed their hospitality.

Great Vacation

The Iberstar Grand is A lovely Resort. Our Second Time There. We went in 2010 and This past Week. Very Best Food I have EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!. They Really take Pride in the Presentation and Freshness. Very Impressive. Pool where nice. Veiws Great. But Man OH Man The FOOD.
