Iberostar Rose Hall Suites

We stayed at the Iberostar rose hall suites for a girls getaway the first week of February. The resort was beautiful, the food was awesome, and the Buffett had lots of choices for everyone. Our room was spacious with an ocean and pool view. Our favourite part was the staff that was always so entertaining around the pool and beach area. The "Star Friends" made our trip whether it was aerobics and games by the pool or having lunch with you at the buffet, and then the shows at night were all so much fun. Enjoyed getting to know each and everyone of them especially Carlos, Camoy, and OMG and MoMo. The bartenders were great and knew you by name after your first drink. Special shout out to Christopher at the swim up bar. One suggestion would be that the rooms could use an update, mainly the decorative pillows and bedding, but everything was definitely clean. We loved Jamaica and definitely will be back and will choose Iberostar suites because of the staff. Joy, Jodi and Brittney
We had a very relaxing time here. This place is made by the staff and the food, both of which were excellent.Sorry for losing my bit of paper with names on, but the bar staff and servers in the buffets were outstanding. The entertainment guy who we had breakfast with a couple of times who just ate the whites of his eggs (unreal) was really nice, as was the chap who we had lunch with in Beach Hotel buffet (Miss Ruby?). A downer was the hard sell in the reception area, to try to hook us into a 90 minute presentation to join the 'Iberostar Club'. Give it a break please on that: we don't need a timeshare salesperson when we are just wanting basic info when we arrive. Don't get sucked into this folks, via the offer of a "free breakfast" at the Grand. The tours were expensive, but the gig to Dun River Falls and Nine Mile was superb. Finally, those staff again. Thanks guys, you were awesome.
we arrived at hotel, we asked if there were any rooms overlooking pool and the beach, we were then taken to our room on level 3, room number 4326 the view was exactly what we wanted. Our room overlooked the lazy river the pool and the beach. We only used two bars in the complex which were the pool and the lobby and that suited us as we dont really go for the entertainment in the evenings, the staff at the bars were very knowledgable and friendly, Stefan and the big G and all the others who worked there a big thank you.Food - The self service restaurant is excellent no complaints there you want prawns salmon lobster you can get it there is a choice for everyone and im fussy. Our favourite restaurant was the steak house Rubys, the surf and turf excellent and my favourite was the pork ribs in honey they are to die for.Mediterranean was good and so was the gourmet, was not keen on the asian and the Japanese, the Japanese was a long wait for every course had no taste in fact we walked out in the end , but thats our opinion on the last two restaurants. The rooms are very good tv DVD, coffee maker mini bar could not fault maybe the bathrooms could use a bit of updating or decorating.Word of warning the pool has no heating but its ok as sun will warm up, once in you will stay in, my only complaint was that there is no seating area at the pool bar some tables would not go amiss not everyone wants to sit at the pool bar in the water or on there sun beds, im a little infirm so sitting on a sunbed is not very comfortable. The beach is lovely and the sea warm as you would expect in the Caribbean, maybe a bar directly on the beach would be good, although you can access the pool bar from the beach but once again no seating. This was our third Iberostar all inclusive so they do obviously have a good standard of excellence, otherwise we would not return to there hotels, one last thing the rooms have a front door and an inner door so no disturbance from noisy guests and all rooms have a bath and a separate shower and two hand basins. If you are going out to Montego bay for a meal which is ten minutes away it sounds like a $40 dollar far is expensive, but the diver will see you safely into the restaurant and wait for you outside while you dine and then return you to the hotel safely.Hope this helps fellow travellers
Very late in writing (traveled as 3 ladies in May 2016 for a 50th birthday). Fantastic resort, incredible food - best I've had at any resort to date, amazing staff and amenities. Rooms were large and clean, nice balconies with ocean view. Pool and lazy river were fun. Beach was beautiful and although water is a bit rocky and some seaweed, it didn't stop us swimming and going in the ocean every day. The staff made my friend's 50th special as well. It was a bit on the quiet side, but nothing at all negative to say.
We had a room booked at the Rose Hall Beach Property which is just one notch below the rating of the Suites but when we went to the Members Lounge to check in, we had decided to upgrade to the suites if it wasn't too much. The cost was below what we had set for a limit so we upgraded. The suites offer another 4 specialty restaurants to the 3 at the Beach. What we didn't know was how great the food was in the buffet restaurant. The first night we tried it, they had filet mignon wrapped in bacon, bar-b-q pork ribs, jerk chicken and pork, lobster tails and crab legs. No way I could eat it all. Our room was amazing. The bathroom was bigger than our kitchen at home, large shower, huge soaking tub, double sinks. The view from the balcony was great as well, overlooking the pools and lazy river. The entire property was more compact than we have been to in the past and we loved it. Everything was close from the lobby to the ocean. All of the staff was extremely friendly, and it wasn't just a show, I truly believe the Jamaican people are the happiest people I have ever met. They treated us like royalty from check in to check out. The members area on the beach was amazing as well. We had a great lounge area since we were on the beach by 9:00 every day and most other people didn't get there until at least 10:30. The staff there would bring us whatever we wanted to drink or eat. In the afternoons, we would move to the pool where the pool bar staff was just as friendly and kept us supplied with our beverages. They always had some kind of activity going to keep everyone entertained. We have decided to try to make this an annual trip each February. The weather was perfect, mid to upper 80's, sunny and only rained about 2 minutes one day. We didn't see many people tipping but we have found that most of the Caribbean countries are pretty poor and the cost of living is more there than at home so a little tip now and then can only improve their lives. They provide a daily maid service and an evening turn down service, both are really great, you never are in need of a towel or soap. We would like to recognize the following people who stood out from the crowd: Avon, bell captain, Rose Ann, morning waitress, Kazon, beach club supervisor, Tailyn beach server, Ormarndo, landscaping, OMG, entertainment and Tiny, towel person. There are many more that we forgot the names of like the people in the Members lounge area, front desk people and the maintenance guy who came up and fixed our door lock.
