Returned from Jamaica on November 9, 2017. Throughly enjoy our trip to Jamaica. Their professional staff were warm and friendly without exception. Everyday their kindness and prompt service made us feel valued as customers.Rooms were more than adequate and the maid service excellent. Lots of supplies such as towels, shampoo conditioner were offered daily.Restaurants and buffets were excellent. Only wish they would move away from the three a la carte max reservation rule. Especially when the resort is not full. Beach, pool and lazy river were great fun for all. Would not hesitate to recommend this resort.
We stayed here on the recommendation of my partner's teenage daughter. This was her third visit. It was excellent. I dropped a star because of our room. The rooms on the bottom floor near the pool exit were musty smelling. There was a dampness that would not go away. Also would not recommend those rooms because they are a little too open. Otherwise, our stay was fantastic! The staff were amazing and always on point. The food was great!
Our room was comfortable and the view was spectacular. My only concern was that when room service came they knocked once then entered them room. Amenities were great. The staff, especially Doreen, Olivia, and Nardia made our stay a welcomed one. We truly felt like they treated us like family.
This was an odd situation for me. I'll likely never go back but not because it wasn't a great resort. I just found it very boring. The views were great, the staff was great, the drinks were great but there was just something missing. I think it would have stung less if it wasn't $11000 for the 4 of us to be there. I know it's petty to say but I just think they could have a bit more going on if you're dropping that kind of scratch...We'll definitely check out a bigger resort next time.I don't run resorts and have no experience in the hospitality industry, but if I did this is what I'd do... 1.) I'd lease space to a local fast food restaurant (MOTHERS in Jamaica) Even just a booth...somewhere to get a break from the cafeteria food. I know feeding 1000's of people isn't easy and I don't criticize them for that...but the option would be nice. 2.) Organize or offer a trip to local shopping. I HATE being put on a bus and taken to another tourist shopping area...I came to Jamaica to see Jamaica. If I want to pay $40 for a bottle of appletons I'll go to the liquor store at home.
First, I want to say that the staff here is great, nothing from of my review should reflect on the staff, it's not their fault. The problem here is that apparently the policy is money over everything. I'm staying here with a legit cult and they have commandeered the whole resort to yell about brains and alchemy at 7 am on Sunday. And to hug and cry all over the place when they're not barking like dogs. If iberostar really cared about guests, they would not put us in here with this cult and pretend like they didn't know there was going to be a pa system turned up at 7 this morning for yelling and barking . Its creepy and weird and I hate it. I would never stay here again.
