Just back from a wonderful vacation March 10-17. This resort has a lot going for it. PRO's: -Wonderful kids club thanks to Nikisha and Melissa who tended to our 7 year old. He couldn't wait to go there everyday, all day long.-Best gym in the Caribbean!!! They just opened the Fit&Fun gym and its truly amazing. They offer classes with personal training every day all day long with kickboxing, bootcamp, spinning, yoga, TRX, etc. Fabian will give you a great workout all while being fun and professional. This was one of the highlights of our trip. They even let our 7yo sit in the corner while we watched since kids club doesn't open until 10am.-FOOD! You will not have a bad meal at this resort. We ate at different a la carte restaurants every night which were all good (although the Italian was our least favorite) Breakfast buffet has everything you could ever wish for. Lunch we usually ate at the beach and took advantage of the beach selection. Best beach burgers and Jamaican BBQ. Wine and champagne is better than at most resorts, their selections come from Spain and varies depending on where you are dining.-Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We had to switch after the first night because of faulty A/C, but this was quickly rectified. Front desk was very accommodating with us.CONS:-If you like long walks on the beach, this is not the resort for you. You are limited to about 10min walk from Grand to Beaches.-Beach in front of Suites hotel is rocky and not fun getting in/out of the water. OUCH! If you go closer to the Grand, they clean the rocks and its the nice silky white sand.-Limited space to eat outside. We did not realize that this is a fully Air conditioned hotel. All the restaurants are closed off and A/C and even when you walk out of your room its A/C, there is a dark film on all the windows to shield from the sun. Gives you a feeling of a somber hotel. There is only one place to eat outside and that is at the beach restaurant. They only have a very few tables outside at the buffet and at the lobby bar if you want to have a drink outside. We prefer to have breakfast and most meals outside and it would be nice to have a bar somewhere else other than the pool bar to relax and have a drink at the end of the day. For this reason alone, we would not go back, but this is a personal preference.
I absolutely was amazed by this all inclusive. It is gorgeous, and for the price it is truly unbeatable. I found the food to be delicious and for an all inclusive to have that caliber food is extremely rare. We arrived and were welcomed to Jamaica by the amazing front desk personnel. They were extremely friendly and assisted us with making dinner reservations for the entire week despite the fact that it was later than 5pm (which is when they stop taking reservations). They were extremely helpful and I really appreciate their customer service. The grounds are beautiful boasting a gorgeous infinity pool that looks over the beach with a swim up bar. Additionally there is an activities pool and a lazy river. We spend many days lounging on the lazy river and it was the perfect thing to unwind. Whenever we had had enough sun we would move to the spa where there were huge Jacuzzi pools for use. Amazing. The entertainment staff were truly amazing. They made every day memorable and made us feel as if they were our friends. They hosted very fun activities, competitions, and shows and were all very talented dancers. Our first night they hosted a beach part complete with a fire dancer and large bonfire. It was incredible and such a fun time. As I said the food was amazing. Christopher who works in the buffet in the kitchen was so sweet and helpful getting us everything we could have ever wanted. There is an extensive raw bar as well as a plethora of seafood, chicken, and steak. There is truly something for everyone. The jerk chicken is to die for. We had this at least once daily because it was just so good. The specialty restaurants were amazing as well. I essentially had lobster and steak every night for dinner (I could get used to that). Overall, our experience at the Iberostar rose hall suites was unforgettable. We have been to other Iberostars where the customer service and food were amazing as well but the infinity pool and grounds of the rose hall suites was so amazing that we will definitely be back. If you are looking for an amazing bang for your buck, this is it.
Im 17 and when i was checking this place out I was a little hesitant at first, didn't see any other reviews from teens and saw it was all very "family" oriented which kinda turned me off in some ways. Came back yesterday and have to say was literally one of the best trips I have ever had, I don't think Ill ever forget it. Everyone I met on staff was so friendly and energetic like the place literally just radiated with positivity. My 15 year old brother and I grouped with about 10 other peeps around our age and literally had the best time together. There seemed to be things for people of all ages to enjoy, the food, music, activities, beach, pool, rooms and service were all outstanding. I thought the shows and activities were hilarious, we all had such a blast! Would totally recommend
Good Caribbean 5 star hotel onlovely beach. We had an Ocean view suite which was a generous size.Housekeeping are efficient.Food in dining rooms varied although the room itself very noisy.Cocktails in bars sometimes a mix.but service is good.Good sized pools.Staff almost always warm and helpful with a couple of childish exceptions.Concierge Kerrian exceptionally professional.A couple of gripes:The hotel is described as close to shops and restaurant. These are on site facilities. There is a shopping mall a shuttle away which appears to focus on dutyfree goods. There is no beach bar .The other bars are in the main building and with the exception of the Lobby bar do not open until after 8pm.The room service menu consists of snacks and sandwiches. We didn't check out the evening entertainment as it was held inside.
Traveled with a large group of friends for a wedding...certainly a fun time at the pool and beach. Loved the infinity edge pool overlooking the ocean and the tons of loungers with palapas on the beach. Also, the snorkeling from the beach is great! We saw lionfish, sea urchins, sting rays, colorful fish and more! Room was also huge, and we had a nice oceanview from the balcony. Bathroom felt dingy and dark though and had little maintenance issues throughout. Room service food was pretty good, but the buffet food certainly wasn't good - edible but not good. And the typical Iberostar reservation system is just annoying. You have to make reservations for all restaurants, and you better o dit teh day you get there or it is buffet all the way! Service was okay - but it is Jamaica, so you just deal with it. Nightlife was a ton of fun - but we had a lot of people in our group so not sure how it would be with different groups.
